Holmes always does small things with x-factor eg grounding or picking up the ball dribbling along the ground as well as the odd big X-Factor eg run the length of the pitch or through a team to score. Just so dependable: Good decision-making, cool under pressure and some x-factor when needed.

You cannot fight a younger side with this level of enthusiasm, commitment and stamina.
NSW must pick younger players who wish to make their reputation and not rely on older players that were once great but have very little to offer in the future. Josh Ado Carr failed miserably as an attacking player and his defence was mediocre. Too many forwards keep dying with the ball and ball retention and passing by the backs is well below standard. QLD played like a team and NSW played like individuals who were just invited to play in a game.
What about Nanai's tackle on Hass on the 69th minute. I have never seen Hass being picked up and driven back like that. Nanai kid is a super star

To be fair the only area where QLD outplayed NSW was in their defense, oh and their attack. And probably their positional play, game strategy and their kicking game. And of course in player commitment and dedication. Alright maybe better selections and use of the bench but thats about it. But as an unbiased banana bender I would have to say NSW had the edge in the run down the tunnel and out onto the paddock. They nailed that.

"Blue Dynasty" what a myth
QLD have won 14 of the last 18 series. The dynasty starting in 2006 isn't over yet.
@@AJWRAJWR after cam smith, Cooper Cronk and JT retired. Blues fans were hyping up Cleary, Latrell, trebojevic and Tedesco to dominate the next 10 years or so hence marking the start of the "blue dynasty". But since 2017, Qld have won 3 and NSW have won 3.
So my point still stands that there really is no dynasty. Both sides are pretty even the last 6 years

Addo-Carr is a filthy, disgusting player. Game 1 he charged in late to a tackle against Walsh & punched him square in the head at around the 8min mark, only to do it again in this game. He should be suspended for 8 weeks! Considering Felise Kaufusi (Dolphins/QLD player) received 6 weeks for a much lesser offence!

It's nsw selectors that's should and needs to change. I'm not sure whether they're extremely dumb or just don't understand what kind of players they need..!
It's not the coach or nsw talent but rather the wrong type of players. It's the same in all team sports.! This has been proven again and again in English football. You can have the most skilful and talented players in Australia, but that doesn't mean they can play together as a team. But the bigger factor is, DO THEY HAVE HEART, YOU KNOW CHARACTER? GETTING the players with big hearts will win you big games. It's about getting the basics right in these big games and as long as they can run for full 80mins or close and can do their respective job and know how to play as a team you'll have the winning recipe. Stop looking at individuals skill set as the only methods to select players but do they have the right character, the ones who can think outside the circle and a thinker with huge heart?
