- A tribute to Johnathan Dean Thurston (born 25 April 1983). An Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the National Rugby League.
Thurston was an Australian international, Queensland State of Origin and Indigenous All Stars representative. He played as a halfback or five-eighth and was a noted goal-kicker. In 2015, he became the first ever four-time Dally M Medallist for the NRL season's best player, and later that year became the first ever three-time winner of the Golden Boot Award for the World's best player. During his career he had been frequently regarded as the greatest to have played the game.

As a New South Welshman, I've spent the last decade dreading seeing Thurston on the field. But what a man
Of course I fail to see how both can not change and as they are one and the same also change because one will change and that will incorporate a demand based tariff component , but obviously that's just myself but I can't determine whether or not it is either trolling or overthinking, personally I'd prefer both damn it, but either excludes that option. Perhaps someone would be so kind as to offer both options. There again Specsavers does me pretty well for glasses.

I’m just so glad every other team apart from the cowboys doubted his abilities and he came and became a legend for the cowboys, Queensland and Australia. We will never see another player of his play the game like he did. His game awareness, fitness and ultimate competitor with in is second to none and he stands alone at the fore front of legends to play before him. Cowboys, Queensland and maybe Australia would not be as successful today with out JT in the mix. Thank you for all the wonderful memories Jono, retired but never forgotten! JTtheGOAT 🤠 🙌🏾 ☝🏾

JT was never told he was not big enough. He was always supported by his community, by his schools and even his warrior family knew what they were doing and supported him. There are always people out there who are told they are not good enough and not big enough who you see on the street.

Dylan Muir no chance in hell. Thurstons defence has nothing on joeys. Thurston could do everything Joey could in attack but he couldn’t match his defence which is why Joey is the GOAT

Nah man, Even as a bronco fan, I respects those finishes. Itswhat makes footy so great. Last min clinches. We had chances to seal that game, but didnt take em. Could never be salty at Thurston or the Cowboys. Even I felt that emotion, Its like saying no, but your bodies saying yes.

Of you really think Johnson is somehow better overall than J.T, Joey, Cronk, Prince, langer, Kimmorly, Stuart, Sterling, Billy smith, Tommy Raudonikis or even Stacy Jones you're either delusional, or under 20 years old and have done 0 research.

7th minute of this video gives his headgear to a sharks fan pretty cool how it didn't have to be a cowboys fan but they were still so excited to get JTs headgear. He is 'the greatest of all time' and will be for a very long time.

Dylan Muir Joey was versatile and that’s why he could be played at 9. Lockyer & Thurston could never play at 9 because they couldn’t tackle like Joey. Thurston played his rep career at 6 anyway so that’s a dumb argument
