Was playing it up until my Bochum challenge tournament, then for some reason pivoted away back to the standard list , not sure why, prob might have done better overall but the list was still ok anyhow
@@SeansMagicCardboard Won first 2 rounds 2-0 2-0. was ranked 11 on table 40. Played justin morales and for some reason i threw away my Quill and went for some weird line to deny smee, when all i had to do was quill and ramp likke normal and i put myself behind for no reason, and game 2 i went for some tala/flav thing, all i had to do was play tamatoa and i would have at least got the 1-1 against him, so that game some how threw me for the rest of the day and my games were really weird . Very handily could have got the let it go at minimum, just settled for rapunzel in the end was garbage and was well annoyed at myself for just kinda throwing the tournament away over one small mis step, had i drew or even won vs Justin then i was in very good shape for day 2. ah well, will give birmingham a go. got 4 set champ promos and 2 mats.
Be Prep is the most overpowered card in the game. It's single handedly saving people from certain defeats. At Dallas, Ed Chiu was extremely lucky to top deck it 3 times during the semis and the final, and now Elie won the first game in the final by top decking it when he was going to lose next turn. Bucky who?
Pierre misplayed, he had a couple routes to win. If he didn't use Cinderella to attack scuttle and instead quested, that's the lore he missed. No need to attack scuttle
He also could have played Rapunzel instead of holding it in hand and he would have won the game the turn previous to Be Prep being played. Gotta say after the Dallas final and this one, these players using Be Prep are being extremely lucky that they are top decking it when they are about to lose. Elie winning game one was just dumb luck.
@@ghostknight1865yeah Rapunzel can easily trip people up since her value is helping draw cards so people hang onto it. But in this matchup where you are aggroing you just have to drop all your high questers
The whole Bucky thing was way over the top. Blue in general is such a disgusting way to play. This final is the best example for this. Instead of nerfing Sapphire there a more cards on the horizon…
Pierre misplayed game one.at 17:00. If he would've quested with that Cinderella instead of challenging the scuttle, he would've won game 1. Bucky just literally didn't allow your opponent to play the game.
@@sdc3536 Kinda. There are so many games where you either see 0 Bucky, or just 1, and one Be Prep / Big Sisu board wipes you, or a Big Tink wipes your Bucky and you don't see another one. When it works well it's very oppressive, but that "perfect draw" doesn't happen that often. I still think Raven's used the "unfun" argument to shield their decision, when it was in fact done because it would limit their game design - in any set, with old Bucky around, they risked releasing some game-breaking Floodborn due to it's interaction with Bucky.
No, it warped the game too much around him. Some decks were unplayable against him. That's how you get a meta where people are only playing 1 or 2 decks.
Ravensburger said that they did not intend Bucky to be such an impactful card on Turn 2. With more and more floodborns being cheaper in cost and also very good. Bucky became a staple card that could not be removed easily.
@@thomasnorman5453 That is fine, but the triple nerf was too much. Remove Ward from it, or make it cost 3 and uninkable, or require shift. All 3 at the same time was massive overkill.
@@ghostknight1865no it wasn't. The worst thing they could due was change one thing and then discover it's still a problem. If they are going to errata they have to make sure it completely solves the issue.

I hope for more formats in the future. You can do a lot here, and with the right technique, this game could be massive.
The Queen Diviner is going to be so powerful with the new set
Where can i find those decklists?
Inkdecks and find the bologna challenge
22:47 uses the quill and the ink doesnt come down exerted, and uses it … he did this many times during this game … am i missing something?
Quill doesn't say the ink is placed exerted.
