25:01 - Errata - We collected the results/data straight from PPG, but now realized that Atlanta's Deck Breakdown has a missing deck combination from the graph: Amber/Amethyst [1].
This was such a lovely well put-together video! Very good job! I didn't get into Lorcana until right before Into the Inklands so it was nice to see how the game and community was before I started. Lorcana really is different from other TCGs and I'm so happy to be a part of it!
This video, the content, format and composition is amazing. I had to step away Pixel born but wow this has reignited some passion! Should make this a quarterly series! Cheers!
I am consistently blown away by the quality of you two‘s work - incredibly beautiful, insightful and entertaining. Thank you for making such wonderful content for the community! ❤
I don't think we could cover Lorcana's first year without discussing it. It was so instrumental in the growth of the game (in our opinion) and had such an impact of the decks being played.
I joined Lorcana just at the tail end of Rise of the Floodborne and I always wondered what set 1 meta decks looked like. It was also nice to take a trip down memory lane, even if that memory lane is only a year long. Thank you for throwing this video together, and I hope to see more like it in year 2 and beyond!
I started playing Yugioh earlier this year and have been having fun. I wanted to get my wife into it but knew it would be too daunting. Discovered Lorcana and finally have her playing! We’re really excited to be joining the Lorcana crew!
Amazing video, honestly reminds me of the melee documentary as well as the early yugioh meta documentary. Very well put together, have rewatched it a few times 😊
We take for granted sometimes that we got in pretty much at the start. The First Chapter was wild - not just the crazy decks, but trying to find product to actually make them
I’m glad the Bucky was fixed. It’s not fun to have your whole hand discarded and just not be able to play the game. It’s not just losing - it’s sitting there doing next to nothing that just makes the whole experience not worth it.
Yes, definitely agree! I’m always surprised when I see more discard mechanics introduced into the game as it feels counter to their design philosophy 🤷
@@InkbornHeroes Yeah, you 100% need low cost removal/damage pinging in this meta with all the powerful Emerald cards! And even then, when paired with 2 cost Ursula to discard your songs, some color combos don’t have much to answer the Merfolks and Flynns without discarding. It’s beatable, but still a very strong mechanic.
@@InkbornHeroes I’d watch a two hour video🤷♂️ I understand how much time that would take to make though. You guys make some of the best Lorcana content out there. Keep it up!
They should have just banned that incarnation of Bucky and released the errata version as a whole different card. It sets an annoying precedent that a card can be so dramatically different from what the cards' text says. It's one thing to fix a typo, it's another thing to entirely redesign a card.
From what was communicated via the Discord, it was because of the impending release in other markets (namely Asia) and they didn’t want to release a set with a missing card. Hopefully though this is the exception and not something that happens often.
Excellent video, but when Disney Lorcana arrives officially to latin and south america? we are waiting to enjoy it and to be part of the global events.
Since they've just expanded to Asia, hopefully South America is the next destination. Matheus is from Brazil, and I know he has loads of friends down there who would love to get their hands on it too.

Thank you so much! 🥹 It was definitely fun taking a stroll down memory lane. And yes, this community is so amazing 😻
Love all the Kingdom Hearts music! I know it's a pipe dream, but I hope we see characters from the series in a future set.
We're manifesting it 😁 I don't doubt it's coming one day...
Geeez! I have to concur with a lot of these comments. This is such a well-produced, insightful and engaging history of the past 12+ months
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed ☺️

We’re so happy to hear that! 🤩 Can’t promise it every quarter, but hopefully we can release something each year
Video of the year! This deserves an award!
You're too kind!! 😊😊😊

🥹🥹🥹 You’re too kind Katie!
Tysm so asking me to be part of such a historic video 😭😭😭
Gunna tell my kids this was the best card game ever ❤❤❤
If this video is historic, it’s because of your participation 🤩
Brilliant video, I've just found the Lorcana world this week.
Planning on starting right from the beginning.
Glad you enjoyed! The game is going from strength to strength, so it’s the perfect time to join 🚀
not afraid to mention Pixelborn!! So important to the history of the game!

@@InkbornHeroes a thousand percent agree! So important to this first year

The First Chapter was the best of times, and the worst of times 😆 But it was super fun looking back on everything. What a year it’s been!
Your videos are inspiring. They make me want to play. You’ve got me excited about this game
🥹 Comments like this inspire us, honestly!
@@InkbornHeroesI’ve been a deep depression for about a year. This game is helping me a lot. Please continue building this community. ❤
@@bobbarker171 We will be sending you good thoughts and vibes your. way. Hope you can start feeling better soon. Take care.

That’s awesome to hear. We definitely love how Lorcana can bring in people who haven’t tried TCGs before (like us!)
Amazing video! You both outdid yourselves ❤ Thank you for having me be a part of this video 😊
Thanks so much for your insight 🥹
A very impressive and detailed rundown of how the game has gone for the 1st year. Hope you are up for doing it for the next 30 too! :)
Thank you so much! We’ll definitely do our best for the next 30 too 😅
Great video! I started playing at the launch of Ursula’s return so it’s nice to see the history before then!
Thanks so much! 🤩

Love to hear you’ve rewatched it 🥹 The Yu-Gi-Oh one was definitely an inspiration, it’s so so good
this video is everything and more, thank you for this time capsule!
You’re very welcome. It was definitely fun looking back over the first year 🤩
I never wanted this video to end! Such good narration Charlie, keep it up gents :)
Thank you 🥹 I’m in my documentary era
What an amazing video! This is so useful for people like me who started later

Great video! It’s really interesting to see the evolution of the meta condensed down like this.
I know, right?! And there was a bunch of other things we'd have loved to cover too, but the video would have been two hours long 😅

This is so well made. Incredibly underrated.
This means so much 🥹 It was a lot of work, but happy that shows through in the finished result

anyone knows how to find the sleeves on 26:08?
They’re from a game called Disney’s Sorcerer’s Arena. You can find them on eBay
6:13 pot of greed as always
Lorcana: “Hey Yu-Gi-Oh, can I copy your homework?”
They need a kingdom hearts trading game.
They had one back in the early 2000s 😮
The answers to yu gi oh.
A lot of Yu-Gi-Oh players are starting to pick up Lorcana
