This is amazing! This is one of my favorite positions as a bigger guy - but I feel like I have no defense when I find myself there. One of my training partners loves this position and I finally have an answer. Will need to drill this about 500 times before I get it - oss!
really sweet stuff. I LOVE kesa gatame, being in control that is ;) !! this video and the atacks is really good, thanks!!!!
the last one was amazing - will try that out and i subbed!
Excellent stuff. Thanks so much. 🙏👌
Thank you for sharing the wisdom
Sweet- I like putting my opponent into kesa gatame, but me no likey when I get stuck there!!
That leg grab is pure gold! My wrestler brother is a kesa gatame juggernaut and destroys me with it every time. This is just what I needed to shut down his game! Thanks!
Thank you 🙏!!!!!!!!!
So glad I found this
Awsome!
Hmm, I like the double-shot momentum point at the end. I do a sit-up escape similar to that (not wrapped around the leg, but looping one leg and grabbing the rear collar) that would coordinate with a momentum-driven bridge if it fails. Thanks.
I love the comb the hair early counter. Thank you. Is there an early counter for the other arm so that the opponent can't lift it up?
Is that other guy wearing a white belt? What color is that belt?
Is this a white belt level escape in Gracie Jiu Jitsu?
Huehuehuehue
Great technique and ever better beard
Thanks!
Kesa is great. Judo ftw
First of, he shouldn't be using "pillow" kesa gatame (where he's grabbing his thigh), as now he's slow to react to your bridge. That hand should be floating behind the head, ready to post. Second, his left leg shouldn't be up but pinned to the mat (opponent can grab your knee with his legs otherwise).
So, in actuality, it absolutely doesn't suck when done correctly, but I'd concede it's of limited use and really depends if it suits your overall style and gameplay.
All the other higher level judo belts pin me in this position and I tap due to the pressure. Gonna try this next time I go to train
Osaekomi pressure is the real deal.
@@Kwisatz-Chaderach yea I felt it first hand
@@mr.j3371 I do all the time 😆
Oss~~^^
Huh? Obviously!!!
lol always looks so simple
You have to chain together like three escapes into a system. You'll get it bro. You do one, get a reaction that leads to another, do the next etc. You know how osaekomi is.
@JustMe-tc8qd yea,its coming .I'm starting to finally see glimpses.u cannot force your will,u have to misdirect with chains and funnels.ive finally started seeing some things in muscle memory
@@whateveritwasitis Oss!! 🥋
I am a big 242lb blue belt. Kesa Gatame *ON TOP* is my happy place. Please do NOT be telling people how to defend!
