Hey there,.. I’ve been watching your videos for a spell… and fairly new at this Spey game … but from all the tips I get from the pros at various casting pools … I’m learning quite a lot … thanks to to all videos I’ve been watching… I’ve also noticed that your cast are very precise..! 🤙😎👍
I'm going outside to try the staccato no-line practice routine in my garden when it stops raining. Don't care if the neighbours think I'm mad. Thanks Ian.
Hello there. Great video! I’m so very curious what rods are in your hands. They look like super fast recovering rods. I’m a new spey caster, and my 13’6” 8wt has a LOT more wobble to it… Cheers, Gus
@aegir8756 They’re Cadence fly rods - designed by the man himself in this video, Ian Gordon. And good spot with the lack of wobble. New spey caster only in name 👌 The carbon means theres much less side to side movement and quicker recovery in these rods, so they’re pretty damn accurate. Here’s the link to the website and the 13ft 6in rods if you’re in the market.. www.cadencefishing.co.uk/product/cadence-cf20-ian-gordon-13ft-6in-fly-rod/ Cheers Stu
Ian, you're a top man and a great educator - I love how you simplify things and explain them so clearly.
Ian you talk a lot of sense here. I can spot errors in my own casting technique just by watching. Thanks for sharing!
Excellent instructive video Ian. Thanks for that. I'm conscious at times of pushing with the top hand so I'll be practicing these tips.

Great advice and a discipline to value
Huge thanks
3:56 I see your changing your casting style and teaching methods Ian.
Brilliant
Funny I can do what is explained in the video with no line strung but as soon as I feel the weight of the line I do things differently
👍🏻
