Good review, couple of tips, i stuck some self adhesive felt to the corner buffers as it was marking the baseboard, 2nd tip i put about 4-5 drops of jasmine oil on the filter and the house smells great, also i vac the filter and only needs changing every 6 months.
*I absolutely love this thing for cleaning all flooring surfaces **MyBest.Tools** even does a great job on throw rugs. Highly recommend! Cuts cleaning time in half!*
Great review! I myself have a husky and golden retriever. Before the neato d5 I was vacuuming every single morning. Now I only really have to do so twice a week!
*I run the m6 daily, and my floors look awesome🌼 **allabout.wiki/Neato** I wet mop 2 days and dry sweep the rest of the days. When I first got it, I used the included disposable pads. I didn't like them--the dry pad has no depth so if it picks up a chunk of something, like dry cat food, then it pushes it around or drags it around the floor. The wet pad wasn't very absorbent so left streaks and wheel marks.*
Would you do an update on this, if you're still using this vac? I'm about to add a Malamute to our lives and definitely need to know if this lasted you through the year and what your thoughts are on it.
Fyi...bought one today nov 23, 2018. Had some issues. Did the 2 software updates it was notifying me about on the app. Its a completely a different machine.
Thanks! - but i would have loved to see how to replace the main brush! - i dont have a clue! - and my manual does NOT show that! - is there some screws to losen? - it should be simple, i think! (and hope)! greetings, Levi from Finland - (i just got mine)
I've really appreciated your video. I have a complicated physical disability that surgical intervention hasn't been helpful. I am working out strategies focused on quality of life. Obviously a robotic vacuum that could do the floors in my home would be great help stretching my money in the long term. To get to my 2 key questions: 1: Can the battery within the botvac be replaced? 2: I don't have a PDA / phone. What I do have is a Samsung Galaxy E5 Tablet (with 9.6" screen). I see the 'Neato Robotics' app with what looks like this vacuum. Do you have a tablet you could try controlling this through to show me? I do have a 3rd question: I am also wondering the grade this is able to climb. My wheelchair pitch is 1:10 (similar to a roof). It would be ideal for me to have the docking station setup where I could reach it. This would mean having a small ramp leading to a docking station ~30 inches off the floor. Do you have the ability to try this?
Hi, thanks a lot for all the info and opinion. Is it still a good choice to buy on Feb/Mar 2018? Or do you recommend another model? Tks, Regards from Brazil.
Could you test what is the maximum distance the magnetic strip will work at? I am thinking to mount them under the ceramic tiles, to hide them permanently, and stop neato from getting out into the garden.
I wish it had a similar self dumping version like the Sharp vacbot has in it. I had one for a short time: it came damaged and started going crazy and had to get a refund.
my neato ran for exactly one day and now is dead. spent an hour with neato support and he concluded that it's a wifi problem. I have no idea what to do next "check what encryption your router is using and use a WPA2 (TKIP) password encryption. This is total greek to me Is there a tech somewhere I can go to or makes house calls????
Too bad that they DO NOT last...... I had my 1st D80 lasted 2 mths, 2nd one last a little over 6mths. With the same issues with the same error code. Totally NOT reliable @ all. Hopefully, these new one has improved.
I have an XV -21 for about 4 years and it runs flawlessly, just changed (2 weeks ago) the original batteries for $33 + - and I have changed the filters and brushes twice. I vacuum the filters and reuse them. I have a cat and a dog an run it every other day with little to no issues.
If that's true, contact Neato. You have a 12 month warranty. Given the date of this comment, you should still have a month-ish to claim warranty. If you really feel that nearly $600 is "not worth the hassle" of fixing... ffs, give me some of your gobs of extra cash!

I use my regular vacuum cleaner to suck the dust out of the filter, using the nozzle. It look clean again, like new.

I just got this model and i love it! it gets under the furniture and pucks up A LOT of dirt! I named the robot Rosie after the maid from the Jetsons.
Before I got this I hadn't vacuumed in 6 months. This is definitely worth it if you're a slob like me! 👍

Best review in youtube for the neato thank you!

Every wife's secret weapon to get hubby to vacuum. 😁

Thanks for the review my dude
My previous smart vac (eufy) came with a remote, that allowed you to drive the vac around. Does this have that in app?
Sort of, you can pre-program different cleaning patterns from the app, but no "direct stearing" i think, Levi
Great review, thanks.
How does it handle door steps, one inch? Can it pass without problem?
I wish it had a similar self dumping version like the Sharp vacbot has in it. I had one for a short time: it came damaged and started going crazy and had to get a refund.
Thanks for all the good info.
No problem
Thanks but I really like my ecovacs 930 because it mops, most of my house is laminated wood.

Well, I don’t do house calls but you can contact me directly at contact@thetechgooch.com and I can try to help.
Hu? My Neato picks up way more dirt than my Dyson Ball does.
Agreed.

So far, I am very impressed by it, so time will tell if you are right
Please do a review after a year or so. Thank you.

I would get a warranty for l oke 4 years so if it does you can just get another one lol.
Don't buy it. Mine broke after 10 months. Keeps asking to be rebooted. Have to take out the battery. Not worth the money/hassle.

@techgooch I one very serious and important question......DOES IT AVOID DOG POO?
😱😵😫😩
