I always remember travel light.........as you said when your younger.... Use to be so fit.,...back in the day.,....I may try crab wheel next time if I get up to my fav place this Summer........
Probably not it was a smaller one I did not gauge it I just put it back. We tend not to keep them until they are lot bigger than the size limit which is 13 cm from between the 2 horns at the front measured to the rear of the shell
They grow an algae on them here on the east coast of the US that makes them horrid table fare. Once in a very long while you'll grab one that isn't covered. If I find one I'll give it a shot. Thanx for the post.
I'm over in Virginia. Blue shell craps "everywhere". And this year is suppose to be a banner year. Maybe I'll actually get out there and take a bushel or two.

They are always fun to use on a fishing trip. I have caught some of my biggest crab in wheels

Here they are in best condition now in a couple of months they will molt and mate then start to leave then they are no good to eat.
