"The only way to get ready is to do the thing you want to get ready for" - YES! Thank you for the inspiration and all the amazing videos, they never disappoint. The best of luck with your future projects, keep on rocking no matter what!
Amigo! THIS is precisely WHY you have the following you do. You have a way of connecting with us without any ego, and your self awareness translates to an honest, non judgmental relationship that makes us feel like you're just one of us...not to mention you're super talented in both music and the cinematography of your videos. Thank you for sharing with us! 🤘🏼
I agree 💯% with this. I am older, lost my practice studio to theft, and am a stroke survivor. I make the music for myself, experimental metal. I am slowly overcoming each obstacle, incrementally. I bet you are doing the same.
Bunn, i can't believe you're going to turn 50. You look a lot younger than that. I'm 31, i thought you were at least 7 to 8 years older than me. You're ageing gracefully, if I can say. I'd also say, make whatever music you wanna make and we'll support you. I make whatever music i want for myself, but i wouldn't really classify myself as a musician, more of a hobbyist.
Being 54 myself, it is inspiring that nearing 50 you are even considering embarking a new journey. Admirable and so completely possible. That you're talented, driven and technically savvy is going to serve you very well. I for one am thrilled that I discovered your channel and look forward to watching it grow. Wishing you continued success and inspiration.
This is such an introspective, humble, and down to earth perspective! You are right: you occupy a super interesting niche on the internet! You pushed me to get my first baritone, and while I am extravagantly, extraordinarily, unbelievably poor, I push every day to get my chops and music as good as it can get, and you are an inspiration for that! If anyone can do it, I know you can. I know you’ll make it work the way YOU want to in the end. I believe in you, my friend.
Not even halfway through this one and I feel compelled to comment: really cool sentiment here already. I'm not the youngest lad around anymore so it's great to get some of your insight on it. Very inspiring and motivating as always. Right I'm going to stop doing this and go do some video editing now!
Baritone playing ASD guy here too! I've followed your channel since your Ibanez RG IB6 video and I've always admired your profound knowledge in the subject of going low on a 6 string. Thanks for all of the informative content and all the relentless research you share regarding these instruments in the context of heavy music. Can't wait to hear about your plans and of course, more amazing music.
Damn I coulda sworn you were like 35 LOL This was a real inspiring video. I'm at 25 myself, and I felt like I've been spinning my wheels for a while music wise for some time now. This video helped me get over myself and get back into actually creating music more seriously.
You helped me out with selecting what I wanted from a baritone, literally got it today, tuned it to F Standard and everything just works, less strings, thicker strings and 30" scale. For years I struggled with 7s and 8s and trying to write music on them, now it's just easy and simple and fun. Which is what got lost over the years for me. So I've got you to thank for all the advice man. You keep doing you man, cause you're a better player than you give yourself credit for.
Daaaaaamn The Bunn is turning 50, in all honesty never took you for someone turning 50, always had a good youthful vibe about you. But I hope you stick around longer... You made me fall inlove with the baritone sound... And I'm planning on getting my first baritone this holiday.
That's an inspiring video for sure. Sludge is a niche, however, your songs/tracks and videos were and still are a breath of fresh air in the world of low tuning, which is overloaded with djent and modern metal. And according to the comment section, I am not the only one to notice that. Thanks for your work and let the persistence and inspiration, coupled with a bit of luck, follow you the whole way long
I've got this hunch that your channel is about to blow up. The algorithm has been feeding me your content regularly for the past few weeks... I'm certainly not the only one that TH-cam has decided needs to be a part of your fan club. your videos are very well made, I appreciate the work you put into them. your positive attitude is inspiring.
Heya Scottsky ... being 53 (I believe) summers ... and am someone who shifted careers through life ... I tell my daughters always to go for something they believe in and makes them happy. So ... "Sir Baritone the 1st" ... why not?! Support all the way. Stay metal dude, Eric. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Scott, been a long time fan. I remember when I was in high school you helped myself, my brother and my friend help make physical copies of our music we wrote then. Sure the tracks were terrible but you made us feel like a million bucks! A really awesome memory. I'm so happy that you're finally getting noticed more! Also dude, you are far from a average musician! Looking forward to seeing more content!
I hope you do very well, you come across really well. I turned 50 last year, will be 51 in just a few days, I enjoy writing music every day, and like you, I like baritones! it will be cool to follow your journey!
It’s really cool to get to know a bit more about you Scott, to see that you’re much more than just "the baritone guy"! Making any sort of living from an artistic endeavour is SO hard, which is why a plan is always a good idea, the harder thing is actually following said plan. I’m turning 37 next week and outside of my job working for my awesome and talented girlfriend, i often feel like i have failed as an artist and frequently question myself as to what I’m doing, what i should do, how to get there, etc. I’m slowly figuring that out and you’re one of the big inspirations to keep my musical endeavours going. Big ups!
WHOLESOME CONTENT ❤️❤️❤️ I'm 22 and diagnosed with both ASD since I was 10 and Crohn's disease since I was 14...and despite everything, I learned to play the guitar all by myself 10 years ago and since then playing and being in bands have been a huge part of my life, helping me cope with my medical condition, connecting me with people in a way I didn't have in my childhood, giving me meaning and reason to keep going, keeping me sane. As I bought my first baritone two years ago this channel became a great source of inspiration and knowledge for me, and I must say this video really surprised me and warmed my heart. I wish I'll be as cool at 50 as you are 😁 it's never to late to start something new! All the good luck man 🥳
This was wholesome episode. If this ends up being a series, that will be cool. It's a real adventure. And those mirror movements- it's almost like you're build to play guitar. :D
Awesome to get to know Scott behind the Bunn!!! As someone turning 40 and just started learning music you are an inspiration for me to never ever give up on my dreams. You are a teacher and an awesome musician, and not the baritone guy, but the guru!
Hi ya Tibor, Yeah man! I find that learning as an adult, is so much better. Your problem solving and efficiency with things because of life experience... It's the best! Stoked that you are crushing forward man! Cheers! Bunn
You are an absolute inspiration Scott. Although I’m a fake baritone guy (27”Shuriken) I’m so stoked I found your channel and am part of the Band/less community. You and everyone in these communities helps to keep me motivated. Keep doing what your doing man, you’re a true legend! Ps Looking good for fiddy bro🤘🏼
Hearing you story a bit more in this video has added to the fire in my heart. I found your channel in a search for the right guitar for me. I'm new to guitar being a vocalist and bedroom producer/former noise musician first. My own has no local bands in need of a vocalist let alone bands looking to do more extreme metal. I know if i want to make the stuff knocking around in my head i need to do it myself now and it's been daunting but you and the community you've created have been part of my motivation to keep pushing despite my anxious and depressive thought loops fighting me. i'm close to finishing my custom strat baritone conversion and gathering the pedals i want for my project. I'm excited and scared but i know if you can keep pushing a 50 that i can keep pushing at half that age. May my fellow low bros prosper in their endeavors.
Early Happy Birthday Scott!! Honeybuns were my weakness in college 😅 I’ll say that you’ve cultivated quite a community over here and served a need no one else was serving and inspired others to dive into the baritone obsession. I recall you mentioned that you don’t “really” like baritone - however, I do feel that market is budding… from sludge to metalcore to non-metal genres like country and blues, there are heavy interest in lower tunings and longer scale length to sit between bass and regular scale guitar. Companies are making more extended range instruments than they have ever had. You have been a pioneer in exploring this new frontier, and I see the potential growth in your following. Stumbling upon your channel has been a breath of fresh for me and I am so glad I got to learn all about baritone, scale length, tuning and intonation among many other topics… honestly before this channel I didn’t even know string tension calculators existed nor was I comfortable setting up my own guitars. Thank you for all the informative and entertaining content, and all the heavy riffage that comes with it 🤘🏽
Hey Bunn, thank you so much for making this video!! I'm really rooting for you and I'm looking forward to supporting your next projects! I'm also a baritone player with high functioning ASD and a handful of neurological disorders and I just love your passion, honesty and creativity. You're a true inspiration!
Your songs are skull crushing and deserve to be out there. This content actually rings with me completely stagnating in my musical journey. As for making more music, you are definitely right but i guess it's more about when you release it and how you release it. The Ola Englund video about "Albums are Dead" was a serious eye opening thing to listen to, especially when when we come from the old school ( AKA got to release a 12 track album asap). "The only way to get ready is to do the thing you want to get ready for" - quote for life, thanks
Was surprised and encouraged to here about your ASD! I was recently diagnosed with ASD at 27 years so coming to terms with this so late in life has been weird. Keep doing what you do man! your channel has been one of my favorites since finding out about it last year!
Man, I shared this video to all the people that are dear to me. Amazing life story and I'm so glad you can do what you love at 50. And your music sounds like some post Meshuggah futuristic stuff to me, really unique!
Hey ya Danijel, Hope all is well with you. Stoked that you are stoked on what is going on here. Thank you for the incredible generosity! And especially thank you for your kind comment on the music. Are you a musician or a listener? If a musician, what kind of stuff do you get up to? Cheers! Bunn
@@thebunn I’m a musician, I’ve rediscovered Meshuggah recently and for the past year I’m just decoding their way of writing, thinking about the interplay of overlapping rhythms, switching accents and overall vibe of a song that all that chaos creates and trying to incorporate some of that stuff into my music. I’m still on 6 strings 25.5 inch in drop A, got a friend who’s building a 9 string 30 inch so I’m thinking about jumping to a baritone.
Hey mate, I really appreciate your candor around mental health. As someone with an Anxiety Disorder myself, I'm always happy to see others talk about their own story. The feeling of alienation is a really hard thing especially when you are younger with a mental health challenge. No one is ever truly alone in their suffering.
It was probably difficult to open up like that to the whole community and the Internet. At the same time, you have some real words of wisdom that I am sure will connect with a number of people: 1. It's never too late to start something new or to try something new 2. Everyone has their problems to overcome in music and life, and those challenges will varying in number and difficulty to overcome, but we've got to try 3. What are we really doing to prevent ourselves from just making music? It's always inspirational to hear your no-nonsense approach about the small things that I am realizing I put in my own way that keep me from focusing more on making music. Thanks for this, Bunn. I truly do appreciate what you're giving out to the musical community.
I'm not quite that old but getting there. also high functioning aspergers, bass mostly, baritone secondly. 5 and 6 string. I did have a band but Covid killed it, like literally, our lead singer died, good guy, lung problems. RIP bro. I mostly just play and tinker now, build my own stuff to stay sane in isolation. No recording, no gigs, once a month or less i go to this bar that let you do open jam stuff and i bring one of my creations, but that's about it. socializing with autism is rough. I've pretty much just been quarantined for a year. complicated story. but i love the channel and content, keep up the good work.
Dude, you look phenomenal for 50! I happened across this channel while just beginning to fight a strange, serious medical issue, and two years later now and a ton of tests, verdict is still out. In the meantime, music has kept me well entertained and in a good headspace. After stumbling across this channel, I threw together some baritones and have been able to connect with some more local people after selling off a few projects. A definite fan of the dark sludge, your music really is an inspiration, as is your organized workflow, explicit detail and ethereal aesthetic . Really glad if nothing else I was able to exist on this planet as the same time as you, what a wild trip. Can't wait for more from you, and happy birthday!
Yes you can, Bunn. I miss the Friday streams, and it’s good to hear that you’ve got irons in the fire. Love all three of your projects, I’ve learned a ton from you so far, and I’m looking forward to hearing more. Keep on, buddy! -Benjamin Hodgdon
Thank you for putting yourself out there and sharing. It's not about the guitar or the riffs or if you have the latest phone...it's about humanity, the challenges and being true to yourself. Cheers from the PNW.
Wishing you a fab up-coming 50th my friend!! As a 51 year old who is constantly learning new playing techniques, recording methods and riffage composition ,I can only salute your enthusiasm and generosity of spirit(again!). I’ve learnt so much from watching and then re -watching your content over the last couple of years. I’m now in the process of writing and recording tracks which reflect my emotional journey through this life and I hope to produce some mountain-sized slabs of noise that reflect the ptsd, burnout and subsequent recovery which I have experienced. All of us are bigger than any one diagnosis and creativity is a completely medicinal process for me.We are all uniquely awesome and this community always talks to me on many levels.
Mr. Scott, I have been following your Chanel for a while and with every video it always seemed to click how u would detail and break down concepts and everything. The second you said High functioning autism/Asperger‘s it all made sense, I I am diagnosed adhd and I believe I have undiagnosed autistic spectrum disorder and it is very much a difficult thing to work with. Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work my friend.
Thanks for everything "Baritone Guy". You really enhance the Baritone Guitar Community. (IMHO). Anyway Happy Birthday in advance brother. Your contents never fail to amaze me. 🤟
You're on the right track. I just turned 55 a few days ago. I think it's all about commitment. If you commit you can't fail, and it looks to me as if you're all in. It will work . How hard is it going to be who knows but it will work. From a fellow Ontarian who's reinvetented himself a few times. Givrr. All the best, and keep'm coming.
Boy, the algorithm didn't disappoint! I stumbled on this somehow and I'm hooked! Plus, that Wetlands track sounds sick man, I'm definitely a fan! All the best bud!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I am in the same boat as you in so many different ways. I’m a few years older, mild ADHD, love metal, in and out of so many jobs and bands over the years I can’t count, and have decided to make music on my own. Love your music and what you are doing. Keep the videos coming. For me, and many others, you are an inspiration!
As a 51 yo dude with similar aspirations I really look forward to following your journey and appreciate your helpful vids. Would love for you to do a beginners "how to" DAW and drum tracks vid if you ever have the time. Rooting for ya bro!
Definition of musical skill varies from person to person, especially to us "unschooled" musicians/music lovers. I think those "highly skilled" musicians, as we would label them, don't think of themselves as "highly skilled" because they are probably attempting to achieve the next skill. Not that I'm against giving credit where due; but, I think the person that feels they "have arrived" in their craft and think they are truly "highly skilled" (above others) becomes stagnant or blind to what is an even "higher" achievement. I've only just now seen two of your vids (this one and the "fomula" one, probably came right after this one) and I would have to say you are truly a "highly skilled" musician, so don't cut yourself too short. Your content reminds me of if @madmanmusic and @PeterMckinnon teamed up. Great job! I'll be following your adventures.
Was in a foul mood until I watched this. Great episode. Resonates with me for various reasons. Been following your channel for a couple of years now, and bought a baritone based on learnings from it. Discovered sludge in 2019 too. Will jump on Patreon after the silly season. Keep on going mate, you're killing it.
If you haven’t told that you’re 50 I wouldn’t even guessed it. Keep rocking man! I dig your positive vibe and the way you give us the info about the world of long scale guitars
50? I thought you're max 35 :D I love your channel and I am so happy to have found you. I'm not a baritone guy but I adore low tuned music and you're right down my alley. I can't wait to see what you have cooking for us next!
Yo, I just recently got to work on some music of my own, I’ve been trying to make music or be in a band for the last 10 years when I was about 14. I just turned 24 and I had been feeling like giving up for a tiny bit because I had never found a band to really stick with and things always found a way to fall apart when playing with other musicians due to various life circumstances. I have been kind of down for a little while thinking I could never have a career in music at this point because most of the musicians I look up to seem to have had their music careers together at an age younger than me. Dude I can’t thank you enough for just taking this chance and letting the world see it, because of this I’m inspired to keep going and write more music. Cheers!!
I randomly came across one of your tracks "pneumatic", dig deeper and found your channel here and since the day i'm utterly so happy of all the content you put out. You immediately became one of those few that i'm dying to get a notification from. Thank you so much for all the quality content & sincerity. Hails from Turkey! \m/
Good luck with the project. I'm just shy of 50 too and high functioning. I'm really impressed with your energy levels. Most of us in our 40s get off of work and just collapse.
No wayyyy, you look much younger man! Very inspiring video, and i love the way you tell your story. Thanks for opening up with us and never stop pushing!
Hey bro! I’m a guitarist also with Asperger’s. I’m loving that here more recently I’m finding more and more likeminded people. It’s quite inspirational. I’ve been in many bands over the years, performed for thousands, and suffered many band breakups. I just started playing again in 2020 during the lockdown after a several year break. Now I’m trying to decide whether or not I wanna make music by myself or start another band. I have however thought of making a band of only people with Asperger’s and call it The Aspies but idk if it would be socially frowned upon or not. Regardless I’m starting to get back to where I wanna do something big again! I wish you luck in your adventures! And I just subscribed, can’t wait to see more content!
Yes!!! Love all the content and tunes bro!! Definitely going to support you anyway I can as well as turn everyone I know on to your channel!! Thanks so much! Btw your killing the aging game bro! Can’t believe your almost the big 50!
Never would I assume that you are 50, really man, like 35 + - . Thank you for sharing this Scott, I believe a lot of people will find this inspiring and a good motivation for future beginnings.
After a 3 year hiatus from playing, your videos have given me the itch to get back into it, and to go low. Just waiting on some new gear to arrive so I can see how bad I suck from being out of practice, lol. This is gonna hurt, but it will be worth it. I say, go for it dude! Can't wait to hear the new stuff you'll be working on.
So many things about this vid that I admire. Your attitude is one I wish I had more often. I wish you well, knowing that the baritone thing is very niche unfortunately. Regardless, you deserve success bro
thanks bunn for guiding me to baritones. before my rgib6, i tuned my 25.5 to a and b for 15 years and was never really satisfied the way the shorty played.
Total respect! Opening my eyes to something/someone I wouldn’t have given two shitz about prior. I subbed because You are f’n awesome. Go get that shit!
You'll definitely make it - your riffs are great (and I'm looking forward to seeing what you create this year with all that new ambition) your sound is professional, and your personality is endearing. I reckon TH-cam lessons would help you in your mission to make a living, all those years of touring/experience is valuable 👍
Dude I'm a huge fan, thanks for this, it helps so much to hear how we all have struggles. I love how your content never shows negativity, it's realistically optimistic. I got my first Gretsch baritone, sold it recently for a neck on one of my Peavey T60s. I found a good enough deal on one locally, that has a poor enough neck and body refinished poorly enough it is worth the effort/expense to restore as a bari. I'd love to find a way to send it to you to review when it's done.
a Peavy T60 is the one that got away..saw one at a hockshop pre cellphone internet days, drove home to check what they were worth on the internet..came back and it was gone..i could of had it for $200..they just rare here in Australia//still haunts me
@@raindogred uhf I know the feeling. Can't save them all... Though my wife would tell you I've tried. What's good about prices shooting up though is people should* stop parting them out now. Few years ago there was a bunch of people parting them and making good money doing it. Stuff like the pot knobs are just way too nice for a $200-300 guitar
Hey Bunn! This was a really cool video! I've always wanted you to do something like this but didn't really know how to go about asking for that. I'm a lot like you, I'm mildly autistic and its really hard for me to connect and talk with people. It's so crazy how much I rely on the "shield" that being behind a monitor provides. So when I saw a group of people that love the same things I do, I just had to join and try and become a part of it, and I've been in the Baritone Obsessed for almost 2 years now I think. I've met so many cool people in there, like you and brother Kai, and everyone else I chill with there. It's always been tricky to find somewhere you belong, but now I feel like I've done that. The people in the group and this TH-cam channel inspire me every day to keep creating and never giving up on this whole music thing. I never really got any encouragement from my family, cause my mum only really seemed to care about me playing drums, and when I told her about wanting to do the whole guitar 1 man band thing, she wasn't really into it. Oh well! I'm having fun working on the couple different projects I've got cooking up, and I reckon they really will be pretty cool when they are wrapped up! Now if only my 277 would actually show up in the mail, that would be nice lmao
Hey, I’m 58 and just love to play 6, 7 and 8 string, I’m not trying to make a living at it, but I think it’s really cool your pushing forward!! Keep on rollin Dude!!
Being an Aspi myselfs is propably why I started serveral solo projects just like you did XD. And somehow they "work" bettter and more productive, with double the album count than my bands with actual band memebers (sounds awefuk, but I love them folks :) Keep on keeping on, Scott and thanks for all the hard work and valuable info on here!
Don't worry. I'm 50 as well. It's not that bad. You're only as old as you look and feel! You summed it up pretty well, though. I've been trying to write a solo album for 2 years now. Work, free time, etc. get in the way.
I’m 30 and thought I was late AF to try and make it in music. I am majorly inspired by not only your vision, but your goal oriented way to try and get there!
Man it's like you want from hitting the nail on the head with a hammer to a turbo action over pressured nail gun... Also you have been a massive inspiration to me to get off my klister and start making something happen, Got in to a band thing that fell apart and I got out of because they had no desire at the time for anything original, fast forward to today and a good friend of mine of 20 years is shadowing my recording setup so we can functionally collaborate with each other and we are... wait for it... actually making music. You're an amazing source of inspiration, a great pool of information, and watching your videos over the last few months has given me the drive to pursue making music for the sake of doing something I love and have wanted to do my entire life... and I am at 48 so not too far behind you sir.
Awesome video, Bunn! I really appreciate you putting yourself out there with this one. Love your film style and what you’re doing for the low tuning niche
I dig what you're saying! Keep it up. I'm 51 and SORT of doing the same thing. You certainly have to adjust expectations, but. regardless, just keep soldiering on.
Bro, you’re a cool dude and amazing artist. This is inspiring and I appreciate you putting yourself out there. You far exceed the sum of your parts in wonderful ways, and it’s a good reminder for us to have the same pursuit.
Hey man, you're so inspiring!!! Thanks for sharing that with us. I'm 42 with a similar background and it really sounds familiar what you're going through
Love your content, Bunn. Your production is so clean whether it's audio or visual. I only bought my Chapman Baritone because of your channel and I always watch your videos, I've learnt loads. Excited to hear new music!!
I'm a couple of years behind you, just turned 48. I've been dealing with some 'mid-life crisis' kind of thoughts and feelings the last couple of years. Like "is this it? Is this is the best I'm gonna be? I've peaked...hell past peak now. Why am I doing this, all down hill from here". Those kinds of things. It can put me in dark places really fast, and I kind of wish I had the 'talent' to turn some of that stuff into something positive, via music, or art, or heck just some drive and motivation to succeed at ... anything, really. I will say, man I am looking forward to new tunes from you! You're really good at your 'niche' in the Heavy Chugs World, man!
Brother Kamicosmos, I know these contemplations. They can be rough. To comment on your journey though, I've never met another dude in my my age range who has thrown themselves at complicated things like you have and made major strides from zero to pretty advanced work. You've been an inspiration to me. That we are far from "too old". Especially if starting from scratch at something like you did with recording. We're just getting started and we got a lot of perspective to put into our creative endeavours. Stoked! Bunn
I feel like the best input we can give as fans is to just say why we watch so I’ll do that. For me, it was dirty textural tone that got me into guitar, but it it’s heavy and shreddy playing I always gravitated to. I imagine that’s true of a bunch in my generation and that probably leads to the huge popularity of prog acts like AaL and the explosive amount of deathcore. So as I start trying to figure out how to sound like queens of the Stone Age and kyuss and electric wizard and DFA 1979 (favourite Ontario band sorry not sorry), I started realizing there was a reason they didn’t shred like mars Volta or Animals or whoever else. Inevitably I wandered into the tuning/scale length/drive vs fuzz world, and as soon as I stumbled on one of your vids (thanks for saving me from doing a terrible warmoth conversion), I watched the rest because you answer questions perfectly, including the ones I didn’t know I had. You’ve helped me sort out my tone even though I’m not really ever gonna go below maybe A standard, and I’m guessing that’s partly because you can’t help but answer everything succinctly and clearly haha. If I made a suggestion it would be to tap into the greater “downtune” market. Your E0 standard sludgy stuff will always be the perfect dramatic example of any point you want to make about downtuning in general. When some channel tries to show me the difference between some sweeps across a 27” 8 string and a 28”, yeah it falls on deaf ears haha. But when you do 3 side by side wetlands riffs I can clearly tell how my tone for my own style of music is gonna be affected by scale vs pitching vs fat strings, or whatever the topic at hand is. I’d cash in on all the metalcore kids who are getting really bad advice about how to make their 19.9” SG sound like meshuggah lmao they need you bunn
Another great video. Clarity of thought. Honesty. I love it. One thing occurs to me watching this: the three project examples do not sound like three bands, they sound like one band playing three songs. One a bit faster, one a bit slower, one a bit more angular, but still the same band with the same sub-sub-sub-genre sound. That is NOT a criticism. Why not put it all under one band name, have a 12 track album instead of 3 EPs, and cut your marketing / social media / website / promotion campaigns down by 66%? Anyway, I love what you are doing and the way you are doing it.
Man please keep doing it! I have recently come across your page and I have learned so much. I've been using a Stephen carpenter 7 string baritone ltd for a while. I also recently purchased a Baguley baritone 6 string neck for a 79 peavey t60. Ive learn quite a bit form your videos and look forward to them. Thanks again man!
Love this one a lot and wish you the very best. I fucking love your music (all bands-Foreigns may be my fav though), so I’m eager for more and hope you can make it work for you too.
Yeah dude! Your niche is a tight one, but you're definitely the king of that niche. From my own experience in many ways the music industry is easier to navigate now than in the 90s and 2000s: my band now plays like 4 or 5 shows a year and we get way more recognition than when it was 50 shows 20 years ago. Self-publishing is so much easier than it was, and your online following is strong. Go for it dude! My nearly-15-year-old stepdaughter is high-functioning autistic with a sensory disorder, but she's super focused and crazy organised (all the things I'm not) and succeeds at what she wants to do because of that clear focus. I think going solo and being in control of the process could play well for you man, you clearly have s flair for it. As for your playing, you have a great ear and great taste, and it's clear you make music that you actually really like yourself, and I think there's always an audience for that kind of authenticity. All your projects rip. Shredding fucking sucks anyway.
More. *Power*. To you. You're an amazing man, who has opened many amazing doors of creativity for hundreds of new or previously uninspired musicians and humans alike. The beautiful thing about being alive, is that it's never to late to start ANY kind of project. Best wishes to you, Mister Bunn. Go out and accomplish your goals!
I felt like I missed my opportunity to actually create and produce as I'm almost 30 and haven't had a consistent band in years. You've really inspired me to get out there.
"The only way to get ready is to do the thing you want to get ready for" - YES!
Thank you for the inspiration and all the amazing videos, they never disappoint. The best of luck with your future projects, keep on rocking no matter what!
2SICH and The Bunn collab 😮 🙏 ?
Guys collab please.
'YES!' as in agreement or the group?
Aw sh!t you have a crush on him...............
C'mon just say it.... it's fine... sol good... don't blame ya...
Love you both
Damn I coulda sworn you were like 35 LOL
This was a real inspiring video.
Thanks for your work and let the persistence and inspiration, coupled with a bit of luck, follow you the whole way long
Dude, you have what is possibly the most criminally UNDERRATED channel on TH-cam for metalheads. So glad I found you and your content.
Big ups!
WHOLESOME CONTENT ❤️❤️❤️
I'm 22 and diagnosed with both ASD since I was 10 and Crohn's disease since I was 14...and despite everything, I learned to play the guitar all by myself 10 years ago and since then playing and being in bands have been a huge part of my life, helping me cope with my medical condition, connecting me with people in a way I didn't have in my childhood, giving me meaning and reason to keep going, keeping me sane.
Hi ya Tibor,
Yeah man!
Ps
Looking good for fiddy bro🤘🏼
Thank you for all the informative and entertaining content, and all the heavy riffage that comes with it 🤘🏽
Hey Bunn, here’s a Birthday present! Maybe string tension issues can be solved with these kinds of sets:
th-cam.com/video/9XU8IukTAn4/w-d-xo.html
Hey ya Danijel,
Hope all is well with you.
Love your channel......love your tunes!................especially FOREIGNS!!!! yes!!!!!
At the same time, you have some real words of wisdom that I am sure will connect with a number of people:
1. It's never too late to start something new or to try something new
2. Everyone has their problems to overcome in music and life, and those challenges will varying in number and difficulty to overcome, but we've got to try
Gawd damn it Bunn. You inspire me all the time
Dude, you look phenomenal for 50!
Brother Broady! Stoked that we can riff in parallel through the thick and thin of it all. Take care of yourself and riff hard man!
Great video brother! I’m stoked to be a part of your journey and I’ll be here the whole way.
Us old baritone farts gotta stick together haha.
Do it brother!!! Just got out of the studio with my buddies and we are in our early 40's. Support from Atlanta GA!
This has such an SLC Punk vibe. Love your storytelling. Also, you don’t look 50 at all, more like 49 and a half.
Thank you! Thank you!
50? I thought you're max 35 :D
I love your channel and I am so happy to have found you.
Cheers!!
Thanks for sharing. I just wanna say this Metropolitan is my most played album in 2021 on spotify, so definitely stoked for new music from you!
Man - I just love your videos. Not only becouse of how cool guy you are but also because of INSANE EDITING. Very aeshtetic work!
I've been a fan of the channel for a few years now, I had no idea that you had your music out! I really dig it! 🤘
Never would I assume that you are 50, really man, like 35 + - . Thank you for sharing this Scott, I believe a lot of people will find this inspiring and a good motivation for future beginnings.
Subscribed. I love baritones, motivation, and I just hit 30 and feel like I missed the music op. Love your whole outlook.
Dude!! The story of my life!!! But you have a "plus" about the asp! 0o Go go go, my friend!!! U´r not alone!! _o/
I have no idea who you are, what your channel is about but I am hooked from this video alone. Can't wait to see what's next.
I’m rooting for you, Bunn! I’m almost fifty and of average musical talent, and my teenage son is on the spectrum and loves artsy niche metal. You go!
I really want to see you succeed, the snippets I hear in your videos sound awesome. Can't wait for your releases. All the best.
Happy birthday mate!
Thanks for the great music, tips and company!
Thank you youtube recommendations. Going to strap in and come along for this ride of yours!
This is incredible, Bunn. Very inspirational. Thank you
Much love to you, Bunn. You’ve helped me create the music I love. I look forward to seeing your next endeavor!
Stoked to see this video series progress! Happy to be here to ride the journey along with ya 🤘❤️ big love, Bunn
I dig what you're saying! Keep it up. I'm 51 and SORT of doing the same thing. You certainly have to adjust expectations, but. regardless, just keep soldiering on.
hey man, you're connecting via this platform, and long may it continue! Keep up the good work and great channel.
Thank you so much!!!! These videos are amazing and mean so much to me!
Brother Kamicosmos,
I know these contemplations.
Happy b day ahead of time and you function well and high for a person with many hurdles. Keep up the hard work!
Wow, it's nice to REALLY meet you. Thanks dude, you rock!
Thank you for this video...really honest, heartfelt and eye opening.
Love this one a lot and wish you the very best. I fucking love your music (all bands-Foreigns may be my fav though), so I’m eager for more and hope you can make it work for you too.
Dude! This is so fun! Great series, I’ll be watching.
