  • Combat…the most challenging and frightening place to be for anyone. For leaders, it’s a nightmare. Simple tasks become insurmountable, but you have to win in battle. Tough decisions are made under constant stress, in the cold and with little sleep. This is when true leaders show their abilities. At the Army Leadership Academy in Petawawa, instructors mould young soldiers into the leaders of tomorrow. Truth Duty Valour gets inside the program with a group of rookies as they are put to the test. Watch them slug it out, pay the price and fight to make the grade!

    One thing the Canadians do that other Armies need to do Is winter training and all season Training, some do It a little but some do not at all, which Is silly, soldiers should be trained In all weather conditions , Cheers, From the U.K.

    Not only For Canada! This would be a misconception! But for the world as well! Cutting edge is just that is it not? If we are not demonstrating that then that image is not being portrayed to the world and whatnot! Let alone to Canadian Forces “recruits of tomorrow” ... !

      In basic my Sgt told me you dont look directly down the barrel that way. That's where your enemy should be looking.

    • @TKing677
      @TKing677 5 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      He's pointing the other end of the barrel towards the light so he can see if the inside of the barrel is dirty. They're all trained, the weapon is folded with no bolt or mag inside.

    RCR Battle School for me was FAR more brutal. Things have become very soft I see. It wasn't a true barracks inspection unless there was a cot flying across the room. Ahhh the good old days.
