I changed how i style my hair for the short period i used mielle scalp oil to pre poo my hair. At that time i was shedding a lot. I would keep my shed hair just to see if how much. I decided to give braids and protective styles longer than a month a break….i decided that was the reason i was shedding so much…but i def remember getting two bottles of that oil and using them completely and i remember during that season i was shedding a ton…don’t know if its the issue, but i won’t chance it.
What happens is that these hair companies first start off good but once they become so popular they sell out and then make their products and ingredients cheap to cut costs and profit more and they could care less about your hair
Just with alot of business that begin small, they begin selling great products that work the ways its advertise but when the product gets popular and in demand, the company have to find ways to buy cheaper ingredients to make larger and faster batches. Especially since certain ingredients become expensive to sell at affordable prices. If they use the raw natural ingredients then they would have to sell the products expensive too
Honestly, it’s the best move! Used to do homemade deep conditioners as a teen, hair has been strong since. I also highly suggest using natural oils + butters. Try it and see which ingredients work for YOUR hair!
🎯🎯🎯🎯 I never left out blue magic grease and after this fiasco I will never. There are a lot of brands of late with ingredient changes. I have no choice but to stick to grease there is nothing left to try 😂. But seriously though I’m guessing since she can come on and say the ingredients didn’t change what most likely happened is the percentage amount if a certain ingredient changed, example they could have instead of 20% rosemary now there is 10 and they up the preservatives. Because I legit saw the pomogranate leave In and twisting soufflé have the new garbage ingredients in the previous batch, now magically a new batch came into the bss and it’s the old ingredients again. I call bs.
I had waist length hair and had to cut my hair shoulder length because of major breakage after using these products, this year. Clearly, I changed products as soon as I realized something was off. Thankfully my hair is thriving again.
Caster oil is kinda heavy and using it on its own made my hair fall out and brittle. Rice starch products also make my hair feel brittle when its humid. The only product that really helped was a good quality detox shampoo, because adding more moisture and protein to already brittle hair just makes it worse. Not even Olapex 3 could help. I'm not saying the product is good or bad, just that some of those oils listed with rice starch, definitly don't wash out easily and will matt or overstretch hair strands if used on damp hair. Hair also cannot grow if the follicles have product build up from heavy oils. It's also silly to then proceed to put the Mielli oil hair masks on top of already oiled hair and expecting no overload.
Something must have changed in the ingredients. Where are they sourcing it from? Bigger corps tend to use cheaper products to save money. Whatever they're using must be of low quality or the rosemary and mint plants has pesticides on them. Someone is being lazy and people are paying the price.
@@SparkHorror-r5c I don't need/want to use Mielle products. So I don't see a reason to search for their producers and who they buy from. Hair products should never make you lose your hair. There’s another TH-camr named Mayowa’s World that speaks on this, and there are people that know the founder in the comments speaking on unscrupulous behavior and business practices (one involving school children), and instances of lack of bedside manner involving customers and their reviews online. I also remember when the products came out a lot of people were speaking on how it left a tingling feeling, and then believing that it meant the product was working, but I also feel that initial tingling they raved about could have been their scalps/skin becoming irritated from the products, and eventually causing excessive hair shedding and hair fall over time. I think people can mistake tingling for “it’s working!” When it can be the scalp telling you “I don’t like this at all” some people also said the products were strong and contained essential oils, which can be irritating unless diluted (even though they are supposedly diluted in the formula). It’s a shame so many women may have to start their hair journey over again. This reminds me of the DevaCurl situation all over again

Just buy an organic rosemary essential oil and put some drops in a organic cold pressed carrier oil like castor/almond/grapeseed and you are good to go! At least you have control on the ingredients.

Have you tried any penetrating oils like avocado and grape seed? They are light weight and helps moisturize your hair.
