All they've said thus far is that Ibushi has a slight concussion, hopefully it's nothing too serious aside from that but him getting carted off on a stretcher was scary.
But he was carted off by the young lions. If it was something really serious, it would have been paramedics, I think.
Ya im guessing he is fine they didn't use any neck brace and they just plopped him onto that stretcher and the thing wasn't strapped up properly

Yeah there was the spot where Ibushi was in the Tree-of-woe position for a minute, Will then turned him upright and it looked like Ibushi kind of smashed his face into the ring post. I think that is what busted him open.

@@andre230994 In his eight reigns as IWGP heavyweight champion, Tanahashi has held the belt for a longer total period of time than John Cena in his 13 reigns as WWE champion, and nearly as much time as all 16 of John Cena's World title reigns combined. And its been a little over 4 years, not 5. And John Cena has previously gone nearly 3 without a reign and has currently gone almost 2 without one. So, they are pretty comparable.
Tanahashi is in a Hulk Hogan 80's level.

People expecting every match to be 6 stars, it was a really good show and I'm glad Jay White won pretty much clean against Okada might be the champion for next year Wrestle Kingdom
Nah but the show fellt very short compared to wk11 and 12, except for the last two matches. It was a decent show though, no big complains
J0zz0en ; Of course people are kinda disappointed. When you are used to almost perfect shows like the last two wrestle kingdoms, every the slightest dip in quality feel extremely jarring

I don't think Jay White is ready to be the face of NJPW yet. It's already been what, only a couple years since his repackging/redebut? I think he should go for the IC belt first, then the IWGP heavyweight championship. It would make the most logical sense. Plus, WK14 is going to be a 2 day event next year.
Ibushi apparently received a concussion during the match. NJPW is saying that it's not that severe, but it is legit.

you know, one thing that i'm hating companies say is "its not that severe of a concussion"... ANY sort of concussion, small or big, does horrible damage to the brain. Love watching strong style wrestling, but that elbow that osprey threw was COMPLETELY unnecessary for that caliber of match. It ruined the match for me tbh. But thats just my opinion.

@@sergiodelgado3288 learn what the fuck you're talking about. Concussions are graded on the likelihood of the brain making a complete recovery, which it very easily can. "Slight concussions" are actually very common and odds are 98 percent of the time not that serious has far long term effects go and after some rest you're good to go. It's when you have a history of "slight concussions" that Post Concussion and all that stuff becomes a concern.
He'll be fine and back in no time.
Slight concussion means he's got a hell of headache, probably slightly off balance and may be sensitive to light. He takes it easy and his brain will reward him by healing by. If it was a serve one, your posts would be more accurate.
I enjoyed WK a lot more than last year, this show was a entertaining one throughout and very easy to get through. Was pretty suprised by all the titles changing hands. From the undercard I liked Ospreay/Ibushi and Ishii/ZSJ the most, but really I thought every match was enjoyable. Jay White vs Okada had the most interesting story going into it, good match (especially psychology wise) and an interesting finish but I think it could've went a bit longer. Jericho vs Naito was a fun brawl and I liked how they used spots from earlier in the feud. The main event was the best match of the night and Kenny Omega had his best match since the WK11 one with Okada. Plus Tanahashi winning made me pretty happy.
@GNIKULODEON Yeah... that definetly didn't go as well as people wanted it to, but I also think after Okada's amazing reign pretty much anyone would've struggled. And Kenny wasn't really built that well as a contender in the first place, he was just in the middle of the BC drama storyline and that just continued after he won the belt. Still, a lot of it has to do with Kenny not doing the tours and basically leaving the whole build to Tanahashi, wasn't really a good look for him as champion.
What happened at Wrestle Kingdom 13 is I enjoyed the show very much in Tokyo Dome. Definitely want to come back to the Dome next year.

I hope Will Ospreay has a lengthy reign with the NEVER Openweight Championship as the last time a wrestler had a reign longer that was longer than 2 months was Hirooki Goto at the start of 2018.

I live in California and hated that I was all set to watch it and I took a nap at 10 after setting an alarm for 11, I woke up in the middle of the Naito/Jericho match. Great show so far

Here's a crazy fact: According to Wikipedia, Hiroshi Tanahashi became "the first Tokyo Dome IWGP Heavyweight Championship challenge rights certificate holder to successfully become champion at Wrestle Kingdom" at Wrestle Kingdom 13. It took six years. Also, screw you Jack, Tanahashi's air guitaring is awesome.
What a night ! Or morning because here in Finlands time pre show started 09:00 AM. Anyway good show, not as good as WK12 but still good. Top 3 matches for us were Omega vs Tanahashi, Jericho vs Naito and Osprey vs Ibushi. Biggest disappointment had to be IWGP US title match. Not real push behind the match and a pretty lacklustre title run with, usually great Cody. We go in the details in our own review but overall a good show!
LIJ now have the intercontinental, jr tag, and heavyweight tag belts!
What a fucking great show. Sure, it was a decline in quality when comparing to wk11 and 12 but the best is yet to come

After watching this as my first NJPW show and hearing all of the incredible things about the company, I can see why people think that Meltzer favours NJPW over WWE. I thought that it was a good PPV and probably better than anything had WWE produced recently, but I asked myself if WWE, not including NXT or 205 Live, had put on the show, would it be as widely received?
Yes it would. Just look at the reaction shows like Evolution or the NXT

It was an amazing show but NOT an example of why everyone loves NJPW so much. Go watch any of the G1 nights, any Strong Style Evolved/Fighting Spirit Unleashed, or WK 10, 11, or 12.

The fact is that WWE never will put on a show of this quality, and a lot of longterm fans of NJPW are saying this show was a slight drop in quality from the last few years. Meltzer favours NJPW because they put on better shows, it's simple. The idea that he has some kind of japanese bias is just ridiculous.
I liked the Jericho thigh tickle maneuver after doing the Job
Just finished I loved it from top to bottom I’d say weakest was the tag matches. Osprey was impressive as always and OBVIOUS SPOILERS always love to see Naito win. I’m interested to see what happens with the elite if they are solely focusing on AEW or will they still do NJPW and RoH dates

Dominion is the show with the best matches recently , wrestle Kingdom has become more moment and story driven
Jay had too win to keep the bc strong. Okada was a perfect guy to face. Okada put jay over in a big way with that win. Jericho always is classic and I actually Lk omega losing. It makes things unclear for the future and puts the belt on tanihashi so if omega leaves they have it on a class guy. If he stays they can have a classic feud so its a win win plus kennys one wingd was preserved and that's how you take care protecting a finisher. Whether he goes or not njpw is all class act. Ospray winning was great. Cody putting over juice was right as well as bucks taking the pin. Excellent booking and every belt changed hands and came off naturally.
Every active member of LIJ has a title which is awesome, I just feel bad for Takahashi because I have no doubt if he wasn't injured he would have won/retained the junior heavyweight title and be part of the celebration that'll take place at New Years Dash

I don't feel that the main event was as good as you have said. Yes, it was a good match, but it really didn't catch me as much. For me one of the less entertaining matches from Kenny since last WK. Really happy for Jay White, just would like to see Bullet Club to be at the top and don't be such a mess that become with The Elite story line.

mid card was really underwhelming,juice vs cody was rushed,junior heavyweight disappointing huge ishimori fan his Super junior tournament matches were awesome compared to this Okada vs White at G1 Climax was wayyyy better then this one only 3 Big Matches delivered.
FFS why put the belt on Tana? They sooooooo could have done a lot different. But always fall back to what you have done before? Thats not progress that regression!!

It was a good card but weak compared to previous years and I think they honestly might've shot themselves in the foot regarding foreign fans with the kenny finish.

That's the equivalent of having vince step down, hhh say it's a brand new era and put the world title belt on john cena at wrestlemania.
Tanahashi will likely drop it sooner than later. With okada and Naito busy and Omega likely on his way out, Tana was the best bet as he has the most experience on a big stage, and will probably drop it to a newer guy around Dominion
