I salute PM Anwar. He dares to tell the US off. Western media always wanted to create misunderstandings between China and Asean countries. False allegations from the Western media. PM Anwar and many Asean countries leaders except the Philippines had visited China and see the openness, excellent infrastructure like modern speed trains, modern airports, seaport, impressive modern buildings etc. China wanted peace and trade with all countries and not wars.
America talks about free trade but ban Chinese competition when they can’t beat it. America talk about human rights and genocide in Xinjiang but can’t find the genocide, in Gaza and supports Israel bombs and colonization. America talks about spying concerns when they literally spy on their own citizens and other foreign countries. America talks about how great protests were in Hong Kong and how brutal Chinese police are while brutally cracking down on its own protests like what we saw in 2020 and right now with free Palestine protests America talks about freeing Tibet when Tibet under religious rule straight up still had slavery, but when did America suddenly care about the sovereignty of others? What happened to native Americans and the kingdom of Hawaii? How in the world does the west in general have the audacity to talk about respecting other nations? It’s almost as if America is framing this rivalry as good vs evil when they themselves are hypocrites
The remarks by the US and western side lack factual basis and distort China's ethnic and religious policies. These remarks are entirely driven by ideological bias with no respect for truth or rationality. The Chinese government protects citizen's freedom of religious belief in accordance with the law. People of all ethnic groups in China are fully entitled to the freedom of religious belief as prescribed by law. In China, there are nearly 200 million religious believers, over 380,000 clerical personnel, about 5,500 religious groups and over 140,000 places of worship registered for religious activities, including about 24,000 mosques in Xinjiang alone. The "Genocide" allegation is nothing but an egregious lie propagated by the US side. During the past 60-plus years since the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region was established, the region's economy has grown 160 times. It's Uyghur population expanded from 2.2 million to about 12 million, and average life expectancy there increased from 30 to 74.7 years. Xinjiang enjoys social stability, economic development, ethnic solidarity, religious harmony and rising living standards. In recent years, more than 2000 government officials, religious personnel and journalists from over 100 countries and international organizations have visited Xinjiang. After the trip, they spoke highly of the region's stability, development and prosperity, and expressed understanding and support for its counter-terrorism and de-radicalization efforts. People with insight in many countries, including the US, have shared the true picture of Xinjiang and spoken for justice in an objective voice. Despite these facts, the US has kept peddling disinformation about Xinjiang to use it to contain China and find pretext to keep China down. The International community can see this clearly. The US need to face up to and reflect on it's own problems, respect the facts and truth, stop applying double standard, and stop using the so-called human rights, religious and ethnic issues to meddle in China's internal affairs. The attempt of using the so-called human rights and religious issues to hold back China's development is doomed to fail.

During a sermon delivered in 2009, Hasan made remarks about the kuffar, the disbelievers, the atheists who remain deaf and stubborn to the teachings of Islam, the rational message of the Quran. Quoting a verse of the Quran, Hasan used the term "cattle" to describe non-believers and called them "incapable of the intellectual effort it requires to shake off those blind prejudices". In another sermon, he used the term "animals" to describe non-Muslims. He also included homosexuality in a list of categories which he argued were transgressive of Islam. Quotes from these sermons were first publicized by Peter Hitchens in 2012. When Hitchens reached out to Hasan for a comment, the latter replied these remarks had "been taken wholly out of context". In 2019, Hasan apologized for these earlier statements, which he declared to "deeply regret" now, and called them "dumb", "ranty" and "offensive". - wikipedia

This journalist should be sacked for being disrespectful and unprofessional. What a disgrace he bestowed on the journalism profession. He only wants to hear what he wanted to hear and anything apart from that, it's deemed irrelevant.
My PM was so patient with this guy even though he interrupted him in countless occasions. He didn't even let the PM finish his sentence!
As a viewer, I'm annoyed with this journalist and I would like to see him behaving such as this while interviewing Trump 😒🤔
Hasan thought he is a real American 😅
Mehdi just shutup you are a just no brainer.
when i saw this video i cant help but wonder what would it be if Muhyidin or Ismail Sabri or Najib on that chair....it makes me laugh all of a sudden imagining 😂😂😂😂....
We visited Xinjiang in May 2024. There is no genocide as a fact and I am not pro china. This funny interviewer maybe thinks he's white?
While western world are building walls , we asian are building bridges eventhough we have disagreement among us. Discussion always work than isolation or wars.
Questions are leading to bad faith but anwar speak fairly wow, impressed
Medi just interrupts his guest! If you have an agenda go to debate it don’t do an intetview
The reporter is forcing Malaysian PM to speak for him. This guy is a joker he can surely talk a lot of bull shits.
Anwar is KING.....................yeee-haw....................I am biaised being Malaysian and all and also a rational thinking human rather than an imbecile sheep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mehdi did a good job. Shows he is not biased. Critical both towards Western and Asian, Muslim or non Muslim. Good journalism. Fair questions. 👍
Yes in Xinjiang have some problem this a fact i get from Xinjiang living in Malaysia but what happen in Gaza much2 worse for sure.. America want tell other about human right but if America or they close friends do more worse thing they just denied everything what double standard..
❤💙🤗🇲🇾
we have good relationship with china since melaka sultanate😂, i read some books about these 2 relationship, you know how close malay empire and chinese empire at that time? when portuguese attacking malay ships that goes to macca, chinese empire were really mad and they attacking any portuguese ships they see😅, that's how close their relationships are
Medhi Hassan’s unwillingness to accept he is wrong or to lose an argument. Will stop him from growing and a considering the alternative viewpoints of others. Him writing a book, never lose an argument says a lot. Though I am passing judgement without reading his book yet.
Medi do u have evidence of genocide on Ughur!
If can't take care of their own citizens then why want to have bigger land that eventually wasting resources fighting over them
This interview is so one sided. Typical of Western media who listens to none but themselves talk and think
Mehdi Hasan: “Do you condemn Hummus?”
The guy acted like another interviewer from GB. His initial is P. M. The same loaded questions.
What a damn hypocrite. The way he attacks is akin to someone grabbing whatever they can and throwing it regardless if it makes sense and when it doesn't work, he changes topics and starts throwing again. An actual monkey in a suit.
the reporter doesnt try to listen he keep interupting.relax bro let him answer.
Equating former cultural genocide with actual genocide is liberal talking point not a leftist pov
Interviewer too cleaver by half. Unable to get the better of Anwar
Anwar threw the Muslims in xinjiang under the bus
@@JustJamesDeanwhat did you know about muslims in Xinjiang?
If nothing is going on in xinjiang, why the govt wont let journalists travel freely and interview the locals?
MOre bullshit. Anyone who is not a journalist can go there and travel freely. Just do some TH-cam searches. I been there and I’m Canadian.
@TD-yj8ch Victor Gao specifically said no and he is the spokesman for the CCP. So you have evidence to contradict Victor?
I tried to google image search both Xinjiang and Gaza genocide. Results are pretty interesting, try it yourself.
U heard wrongly. Just look at the number of postings by western tourists who freely visit Xinjiang n post on TH-cam. I've been there from north to south. Why don't you visit???
@kblima "visits" escorted by security forces.
Victor Gao already explained, nobody is allowed to travel freely
Malaysia prefers alliance of peaceful neighborhood.
- wikipedia
China has long historical connection to the South China Sea. Pursuant to the decision by US led WWII Allies leaders for Japanese conquered territories to be returned to their respective owners after the war, the South China Sea was handed back to the Republic of China in 1945.
