Just visited, and as of 9/11/2023 they are still 100% all original! What a treat! I haven't seen an all original touch button elevator in decades. One of the few survivors left. They run great and are fast with that classic Otis ride. Thanks for posting their location.
When you 1st started photographing the high rise elevators. You caught an ashtray for the disposal of cigarettes. They don't put those in buildings anymore. That goes back to the days where smoking was allowed in publicly accessible buildings. They don't allow that anymore
@@SPS8elevatorsoflakecounty Amen 🙏 bro. The older elevators were far more durable, had character, and you could do more with them. They dont make stuff of this quality anymore.
Ours in the UK in a hospital near me (1964) were the same buy with push round buttons. Partially modernised early 80s with Kone Marryat & Scott with Dewhirst buttons as they were very heavily used. They were extremely fast, with doors opening just as the lift nearly levels. The numbers used to skip as they flew up and down. Now they're some generic rubbish, all digital and a lot slower. I can still remember the 'ding ding' as the 'THIS CAR UP' sign and up arrow lit up on the ground the floor.
@@FloridianElevatorsThese were signal control. Proof on the door tracks in this video at the building. th-cam.com/video/6CT8JyWW5jU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=q2TRqZZHMFjrQuDL
@@FloridianElevators Oh okay I gotcha because I stayed at the former Best Western which is something else now you probably might not know where it is, but it’s not far from downtown and Niagaria Falls either! 🤔
My experience here was very good. They seem to be very friendly in this building as long as you are respectful when you are here. If you get in, check out the bathroom on the 26th floor! It is a "loo with a view"

I always know I’m in a dated building when I see an ashtray haha

These were epic! LOVED riding these! Probably some of the coolest automatic elevators I’ve been on!

Happy 4th of July! 🎆🎇🇺🇸💥
Judging by the year these were originally installed, I bet they were Signal Control.
Possibly. But they could've easily just been regular Manuals originally
True.@@FloridianElevators

Really nice elevators never knew these existed in Buffalo! 🤔
These are located in Buffalo's 2nd tallest building which is also one of the most famous buildings in the city.

Nice elevators, I wish we could meet up and film elevators around Puerto Rico
I know of another one thats 12 floor in Montgomery alabama
I am going to Buffalo in two weeks, is this place easy to get into?
There is security here, but they shouldn't give you problems.
I'd ask before riding though
@@FloridianElevators I did it! These elevators were so fun to ride! I will be posting my take very soon.
