Palo Santo is one of my favorite. YL has the best essential oil I’ve tried and the wood sticks smell divine. 24 rue de l'Université Yves Saint Laurent is the best Palo Santo scent I’ve ever tried. It’s holy grail for me. The irony is that it’s not listed in the notes, only sandalwood but to my nose it’s the pure Palo Santo with subtle nuances. It’s a shame is DC’d. apparently it’s being compared to MMW, haven tried that but now I need to. Thanks for covering it. Cheers.
My fave palo santo is a rollerball oil called Purify by Root & Flower. And I have a room mist called Spirit by Corinne Taylor. Both contain palo santo essential oil, which to me has an anise nuance. They're both small UK brands. I also tried Abîme by Maison Violet, very true woody scent. Carner's Palo Santo didn't smell anything like palo santo to me 🤣
I think along with Cherry, Palo Santo has been the hip note of 2022! You named most all that I am aware of..I bought the entire Kayali line this year - mostly because of Lovefest Burning Cherry! Great line btw. (please review it) But, I have a high end and a low end option that wasn't on this list: Antimony by House of Matriarch and Cremo's Palo Santo...I enjoy this note but I am a big fan of incense in perfumery. I burn Palo Santo to cleanse spaces - clear negative energies etc. I think it works better than white buffalo sage...So, I don't associate his scent as feminine or masculine - I view it as sacred...Probably doesn't hurt to wear it as a fragrance! Recently, I wore Maison Violet's "Abime", and I found that it reminds me of "Kenzo Jungle Homme" and Azzaro "Visit". I didn't think of it that way the first time I wore. I like it, but my favorite from Maison Violet might be "Un Air D'Apogee", and "Tanagra" and "Sketch" are also favorites of mine from them.
I think I've noticed palo santo as a note for the first time in Open sky. I don't remember if I liked it or not, but for sure De los santos wasn't among the fragrances I enjoyed when it came out. I do like Paragon and Agarbathi and also Skins x Vilhelm is not bad and if I remember well, all feature this note. Thank you for the video!
A designer house called La Martina has a perfume, ALMA Secret Wood. Such a wonderful perfume, leans medicinal (the dentist office type) and smells very niche indeed. It's very affordable as well. Though palo santo is not listed as a note, I feel it's there (when comparing to The Different Company Santo Incensio.

Just a theory but the Celine California fragrance may be a reference to the California Missions that were built by the Spanish. And I’m a fan of palo santo fragrances :)

Yes!! Love Palo Santo. The first time I smelled it was in a B&BW candle.😍 Burned the mess out of that candle❤️😄 Love the suggestions will have to sample them! I do enjoy Abime as a personal scent. Of course, there are many "male" leaning fragrances that I love. I did recently get Red d'amour and . ..love it as well. 😄😄

M. Micallef Gaiac is my favorite. I thought it was discontinued long ago but I saw it on the Micallef site recently. I'm glad Palo Santo has become a staple note.
PALO SANTO by Carner smells exactly like natural Palo Santo❣️ My neighbour is from Malaga and always give me palo santo pieces for burning: it smells wonderful here 😃

Oh, this video was a great reminder to try the tester of De los Santos that I got a few weeks ago. I really like it and find it sort of warming in a way that makes it perfect for this time of year (I've had trouble finding 'winter' fragrances at times as I don't like things like By the Fireplace, maybe I'm not into gourmands, still learning about that).

YES! 🔥 My favourite Palo Santo Fragrance def is Tom Ford - Ébène Fumé The De Los Santos is really interesting to me, quite herbal, fresh, not heavy about Palo Santo for me though, the Sage (not clary sage) is much more prominent to me here Some Palo Santo woods also have a very interesting herbal notes to it, a somewhat chamomile and mint note often occurs
you should check out Palo Santo by the independent botanical perfumer Mizu (Maison Hainey). I've never tried it by I am very intrigued by his brand and products.
I have NO palo santo fragrances‼️I love using it as an incense in my home, but I’ve always wanted to wear it as a fragrance(it’s one of my fave relaxing notes)

A dear friend had palo santo wood from way back in the 90s. It smelled divine. She died suddenly and her family tossed all her wonderful things collected over half a lifetime. Such a shame...

I do indeed burn palo santo wood as incense and my favorite palo santo fragrance is The Different Company's Santo Incienso.

Very interesting note. i need to check out the Tom Ford and Violet. I sampled the Paragon but all I got was fruity plum. Am I missing something?

Incidentally wearing today Zara Noble Palo Santo. I find it pretty nice, somewhat Aventusy but with a barbecue nuance to it.
I looked for that but couldn’t find it sadly.
