Wow. that was interesting. Because I am only 5'1" I assumed I would fall into the gamine, but I have never felt like one of their personalities. I'm vertically wide in places, such as rib cage, bust even at my thinnest. I think this rules me out as a gamine. I would probably fall closest to the SN after seeing this video.
From your profile photo you do look like a natural type as you have blunt bones structure in your face. I have a friend who is FN and she's also 5'1 and she looks great in those trendy duvet coats which makes me jealous 😂 they look so warm and comfy but I'm tiny and curvy and these coats either drown me or make me look like a sack of potatoes
🎉🎉🎉🎉 wow 👏🏾 thank you for coming back Your videos helped me so much Please keep going! Thanks to your videos, i can easily see what would work well for my body and what does not.
Lovely to see you back! You were in my mind today and here you are back! Thank you again for the wonderful consult the other month, and I have had the PDF out again this week actually for a further refinement of the wardrobe. I know you saw me as petite easily and in a medical consult recently I found out I am actually an inch shorter than I thought (though I know petite is ALL DIRECTIONS not just height). Anyway, so good to see you back and I hope all is well. Warmly, Leighah x
Omg thank you SO MUCH!! I am very short - just 5ft - but never in my life have i been "petite". I have never looked tiny...not even at a lower weight! This is exactly the reason why. I think i am definitely soft and somewhat curvy, but balance is my dominant feature, so could i be a SC? Because nothing else fits lol. I used to think am R, but then i don't think i have double curve...
I’ve always considered my shoulders wide and would never have thought to consider myself as narrow but when I see the examples of some of these women in the video- their shoulders look very prominent or strong to me. I watched your video about width so I know it’s not about how broad it looks and it’s relative to yourself but I’m still confused about the seam thing. Would the lady in the long silver or red dress not need a wider seam? or is there a way to identify “narrow” So excited for the new upload
I think identifying “narrow” is a bit intuitive. It’s not just about not having width. You might have neither width nor petite and just be in the middle, like classics or dramatics. Petite people are smaller than this “middle ground”.
How is it with cases that are not consistent throughout the whole bone structure? I am very sure that I have petite in my upper body as it’s narrow and small looking in every direction. But my hips are relatively wide (both flesh and bones) and so are my knees. If I look at my lower half I would put myself in SN but on my upper half those clothes always drown me and I look better in SG / TR lines as my shoulders and ribcage just don’t support natural lines enough.
A wider lower half wouldn’t necessarily put someone in SN since many IDs can have that, but being more pear shaped can be a yang trait. Some FGs and Ds are what I consider pear shaped.
@@stylechat thanks for answering! I used to think I might be FG but ruled it out again as I don’t look good in dropped waistlines, shift dresses and the stiffer, crisper materials always seemed very foreign on my body. Maybe I will look into it again!
No, width is mostly found in the natural family! I have a video on width that might help. Theatrical romantics are basically the narrowest but soft gamines are also narrow. Putting soft gamines next to soft naturals shows the difference.
Petite is yang feature, according to kibbe, the lines are short but narrow and straight compared to romantic lines, which may be short but are sloped and curved.
No,petite is yin feature, gamines are described as petite in size(yin) but yang in frame(yang). I mean, why dramatic is considered the most yang apart from sharpness?@@KelseyStanbrook
5’4 is 163 cm and 5’5 is 165 cm. I am not American but the vast majority of my audience is, though I should have included the metric system in the video :)
Your videos are perfection
Yes !!

Sarah Jessica Parker is petite and flamboyant natural.👠

Mind. Blown. I always thought I was a soft gamine because I am very short, turns out I might be soft natural! Very good explanation!
Great insightful video!
Welcome back ❤✨
Welcome back 🎉
YOU ARE BAAAAAAACK❤❤🤩

1:56 That was me ...
Some people thought I was a TR and SG/FG .....
But David agreed I accommodate width and curve so basically I am a SN .......

I thought that soft gamines have width? For example soft gamines have wider shoulders/bones than theatrical romantics?
Or wide prominent cheekbones
This is my understanding too

Why aren't Romantic always petite? Aren't they all yin? Great video! Thank you!

I thought TRs always had petite and only romantics could either be petite, or not.
TRs don’t have to have it either, like Selena Gomez! I’ll explain more in my next series about the IDs.
I wish Americans would start using the normal metric system like everyone else
5’4 is 163 cm and 5’5 is 165 cm. I am not American but the vast majority of my audience is, though I should have included the metric system in the video :)
You have the same access to google as her 🙄
Never! We measure in apples, hot dogs, and baby elephants first!
You can tell she is not American why did you say that?
