The Autobots were the only ones with energy problems until they came to Earth and started using Geo-Thermal from a Volcano they crashed into That whole thing was introduced in the Michael Bay films and has been the new standard set for the series. But before 2007 I assure you Cybertron was never a dead world

No. Does it hold up to the standards of the 80s being that it was literally a half hour toy commercial? Yes it totally does. It's easily better than any of the other contemporary cartoons of the 80s. He-Man, Voltron, Thundercats, GI Joe... Of them all G1 Transformers was the best by far. I will die on this hill.
