  • Going back to an old favourite after a decade or so, the American War of Independence in 15mm. Getting those first few figures painted is always exciting! If you wold like to see some photos of my previous AWI work in 15mm and 6mm scales please follow the link to my blog latest update here.

Hi Lee, lovely project, I’m hoping that at some point we see an Epic AWI. A few weeks ago I picked up red and yellow dropper paints by Army Painter from their new Fanatic range, which are more pigmented and so far the reds are giving very good one coat coverage, I gone mine From Warlord Games. I have not tried the yellow yet. Anyway good to see you still doing stuff for yourself. Vids are fine as they are 🙂

Your Peter Pig AWI troops are looking nice so far Lee 👏👏 And the Native Americans* with black first coat & brown on-top looks great.
Ps/ * or should we now call them First Nation people?

Thanks Geoff. That basic black over brown horse colour can be built up even to light grey/roan's, it's just the prefect base! As to the 'Indians' I had a chat on the phone with Mark who commissioned the project and we both agreed that 'Indians' was fine, probably because we both grew up with John Ford Westerns :) You have to be careful these days though don't you :) I also grew up with the Carry On films so can never forget Charles Hawtrey playing Chief Big Heap in Carry on Cowboy!

@@legrambo - Carry On films were a staple of my youth (and are still regularly repeated on TV even nowadays). Plenty of double entendres wherever you look 😉
