- Welcome back to EAST COAST SHARKIN, this video documents the journey to casting 150-160 yards. Completely spooling my reel, stick to the end of the video to see the cast. Ive always been a fan of the Curado DC reels and I continue to preach that they are the best bait casters for any type of water salt or fresh. I had the shop put on seguar invisx 10# 158 yards (3ftX158yards equals474feet) so I'm told on my curado DC 150. Surprised your DC does the same with a supposed larger spool🤔 My rod is a st Croix victory 7'3" med heavy. I would never want my whole line out especially out in the ocean if I were to hook up. You wouldn't have any line. to reel the catch in!

@SHARKIN336 thanks for the answer,im just trying using floro on my bc,because mostly Malaysians use braided
@@mohdzaidieddy2252 Braid is the winner use 50lb braid with a 1 foot to half a foot of 20lb mono leader braid is the winning product because you fit more onto a reel you get further cast and it has no memory at all meaning you dont have to buy new line every 3 years mono is junk fluro is for fish that see line or for very clear water which is why any angler with good experience will do a braid with a 10 to 20lb fluro leader because you get a really good cast with the added bonus of the fish wont see your line ever

Let me tell you something Use Braid it cast further has no memory and its thin so more line goes onto reel and the 1 2 3 4 are not made for different lines 1 thumb is heavily needed 2 yes not much 3 made for minor wind no thumb 4 no thumb heavy wind the 1 2 3 4 isn't for the lines I don't Care what the manual says I have 3 of these things I never use mono but I do use Fluro on one reel and other reels are Braid with a 1 foot 25lb fluro leader for them fish that can see line like Pike Musky Trout always use braid it may cost a lot but I have yet to ever have a backlash that I couldn't get out in under 20 secs the goal is to not cast long because the more further you cast the more you fight the fish the higher the chance of killing the fish from being tired and having acid build up making it float on the water which kills it
dont even need to thumb a dc reel
The lure hits the water before the cast pulls all the line off. I was doing it today. It will keep running the line out even after the lure hits the water. Come on you can't cast that distance lol.
