So the trick is you hold your fingers horizontally over the buttons instead of vertically on the buttons. Then you rub your hand furiously over the buttons back and forth using wrist movement.
As an added bonus, your girlfriend will blush every time you do that. Especially if you finish someone off with it.
Looking at the inputs, it's likely he uses the entire right palm or the midsection of the fingers on all the attack buttons in a brushing pattern, then including the tag buttons at the very end.

Why his cyclops don't use the big beam super ?
- Longer startup
- Can't aim it
- Longer recovery
= Similar damage if not blocked
+ but More chip damage
See 18:01 for comparison between the small beam (super optic blast), then the big beam (mega optic blast). There's a significantly longer startup with the big beam
