Good video I'm in UK - weathers been sucking for nearly 3 months but looking good for our 2 week vacation where it's dark skies and if clear I can get a full panorama rather than my limited view at home

Hi! Like the video. I believe the electronics in your battery pack are causing interference with the seestar. I use a pack that I keep a couple of feet away with no issues. Could also be the Bluetooth connection to your phone. -Jim

Thanks for the video and excellent discussion. Here is another data point for your viewers. I have both levelers and I see your point about stability, but personally I find the ball-head leveler to be easier to use successfully. Clear skies, all!

@@mattestabrook That's about what I said in my leveler shootout video! Thanks for the comment!

I've have also bought an upgraded mount, as im 6'5" that stubby mount was just not going to cut it. I also have the try wheel leveler, and it works fantastic. I get about 5 hrs of battery time on it, so ill be looking at getting a support for that, but so far its a great little unit. Clear skys bud

Why would you suggest turning off the horizontal calibration? It only takes a minute or two and greatly improves the tracking accuracy.

Thanks for this useful video (and also for the one about the level adjusters). The external battery you mentioned has two outputs, I suppose that the right one is the 5 V ? Can you confirm ? I've my Seestar for only a few days and I'm still discovering it. Clear skies ! (french speaking from Belgium, so perfectible English :) ).

@@TheHiggins19 The 5volt output is the USB connection. The 12volt output is the small round receptacle.
