My first truck had this same motor in it! It’s basically a 350 with two cylinders chopped off. It survived my teenage years so I consider it a bulletproof motor ;)
Same here, went through 3 transmissions within a 6 month period but the motor is still great🤣

I have a Sonoma with straight pipes, I'm not a big fan of v6s with no muffler's, but there's a few that are cool and the 4.3s skund really good, mines alot deeper then this one though, it's hard to tell it's a v6 to alot of people

I had this setup for about a year. Sounds wonderful below 2000 rpm, but one you got into the powerband around 2500 it gets real trumpety
The Chevy 4.3 L Vortec is a V8 350 small block with the 1st and 6th cylinder removed into a V6. Same engine in my blazer. They’re not only bullet proof with living proof of 285k miles on mine but also sounds amazing
Luckily I get to hear it roar every day lol
How does that work though? The 1st and 6th cylinders aren't paired up. Seems like it would need to be the 1st and 2nd or the 6th and 7th.

Same here. 2002 chevy astro ls awd, 110,600 miles. it's passenger van with dutch doors on the rear. It's fully stock exhaust and yeah it sure it nice hearing the Vortec 4.3L V6 start up everyday 😂
Blazers are a lot lighter than an Astro Safari weighing almost 4,600 lbs.

The 4.3l is actually a V4 with two cylinders welded onto it. Interestingly, the V4 began life as a V2 with two cylinders welded onto it. Oddly enough, the V2 started out as a V1 with a a cylinder welded onto it.

2003 Chevy 1500 4.3 V6 You wouldn't happen to know what could be causing a misfire on my truck would you? Misfire only happens when I first crank my truck up and drive(no misfire at idle), it'll misfire while driving until you drive it for about 15 minutes then the misfire goes away. Let it sit overnight drive the next day, same thing happens again. Repetitive cycle.

What about this makes people call it a straight pipe? Its got cats and all.. not straight to the headers.. even if were referring to a straight pipe, this one turns.. i guess its not a gay pipe.. so got that one but just like people running one muff with 2 pipes coming out calling it true duals..
