MINI R50 / R52 / R53 - How To Remove Front Door Card Panel Interior Trim Removal

Guide on how to remove the front interior door card panel from a BMW Mini R50 / R52 / R53.
The R50 & R53 (hatchback) models run from 2001 to 2006, and the R52 (Convertible) runs from 2004 to 2008.
NOTE: From 2005 onwards the design of the door card panel changed slightly. All the mounting screws are in the same location, but the rear lower screw is hidden by the armrest trim. The arm rest trim can be moved out of the way by sliding it forward. To slide it forward you can insert a flat trim tool in to the front of the arm rest and push down on the locating tab, allowing it to slide forward.
Replacement of the panel is the reverse of removal.
