Well that was a learning experience. I slammed and slammed the glove box door trying to re-install it. Broke both of the outside pin holders. Apparently it wasn't installed correctly by the previous owner. Yes, there are two white pins that have to be removed or the glove box will not come out.

Far out! Thanks so much. Clear, easy to understand, step by step.

NIce video! I didn't see where you removed/replaced the white hinge push pins. Were they missing for this Explorer?

Yes they were missing. I should have mentioned it. But yes you are correct normally there are white hinge pins.

Here is a video that focuses on the PITA pins, in case you want some help with that step:

This is NOT correct for a 2018 Explorer. The 2018 has two hinge pins that are on the inside of the glove box that need to be pulled before the glove box door can be removed.

Try putting them back in. Another dumb ass idea. I left mine out.

Why did engineers make so hard to Access? Most cars have a plate you can easily get to /door

At least on my 2019 Explorer you have to pull two white pins out from underneath the glove box or you will break it.
