    The bz4x and Soltwrra had recent 2 updates in the Netherlands, makes the car one of the most efficient EV'S, better charching 150kw, and far better range, 425, 450km real range....excellent fot a small battery pack. So finaly a good Solterra, Bz4x, and 10 years warranty!

    Should put up the 24hr limit speed too. The decision to do that is absurd.

      @@bjornnyland The bZ4X actually has this option too: you can limit DC charging to 50kW/75kW/100kW (in a menu) depending on the love you feel for your battery 🙂

    I wonder if altering battery chilling behavior could improve curve further.
    I'd like to see behavior once fast charge daily KWh limit has been reached.

    B.Nyland, can you ask Toyota about releasing more range of the battery closer to the fully capacity of battery-72kwh.

  • @jensbo66
    @jensbo66 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    the start of video - State of charge was around 10% for Tesla Model 7 - bZ4X both was around 19% State of charge - so bZ4X had a higher State of charge on a smaller Battery

    • @adrianguggisberg3656
      @adrianguggisberg3656 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Not really. Car scanner shows the true state of charge, which is basically meaningless in the case of the Toyota. The white number in the SoC box for the Toyota with the new software is the usable SoC as displayed by the charger and in the cars instruments. Teslas dont have much buffer so for the Tesla true SoC and usable SoC coincide. That means, the Toyota charges almost as fast as the Tesla in terms of usable battery percentage. In terms of energy and range that's obviously a whole different story.

  • @Andy4prg
    @Andy4prg ปีที่แล้ว +2

    If there is a limit on how much you can charge, than I think you should be able to tell the car how much you want to charge and it should change the curve accordingly.

    • @TillGroos
      @TillGroos 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There actually is that setting in the Toyota now. I think Max, 125kW, 100kW and 75kW limit can be set. And the max and 100kW sessions are similar time from 10 to 80%

  • @hemmper
    @hemmper ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Isn't the problem with comparing charging curves that they have a big unknown factor, how fast they degrade the battery? To know that you would need in-house lab results, years of testing and real world data. I might prefer slightly slower charging if I knew it meant that in 8-10 years time I still have 90% instead of 70% of the battery. If you're the swap cars every second year type of guy, then it matters less I suppose.

    • @wgemini4422
      @wgemini4422 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Doesn't really matter unless you use DC charging exclusively. 90% of the time you get a flat line of about 6kw, or in my case 1kw :D.

    The way Toyota have been lobbying to stagger ev adoptions, it’s impossible to take them into consideration.

    I’m 65 and see and the older folk being the ones trying to read between the lines, I’ve owned a 2011 leaf for 3 years and have passed up a 2020 Hyundai kona ev, a 2022 c40 recharge volvo, a 2022 Subaru Solterra. I’m now waiting on a Toyota Bz4X and a Chevy Equinox, Toyota loses, it’s decided to sit on their blade battery it seems the BYD blade battery is on Canadian soil, and I’ve driven it a few days ago, I’ll b getting it for my bday in 3 weeks!
