Based on what I have read. She was truly happy with Prince Albert. But none the less this series makes me with Doctor Who was real so he could go back in time and make it so she was happy with Lord M instead...EVEN THOUGH I don't think the real Victoria had the same connection with the real Lord M. Show or rather the actors do a brilliant job making us love their relationship. Doesn't hurt that Rufus Sewell is always good to look at.

i love the vedio i am from the uk and living in the usa. I have to wait untill it comes on to pbs in Jan. I cannot wait. He really loved her but her was 50 years old and old enough to be her father. But there love was a very beautiful and special. I know that when he resigned. They did not have correspondence. I know that this was the happiest, time of his life. He helped her become the women that she became and the queen.
It's been a year today...I can't believe it. FOREVER I LOVE THEM. I've watched the series again, and couldn't help but cried through so many their scenes.
Honestly, I don't know if he is actually clever at stealing hearts, because to me it seems like he accidently steals hearts and loses his own in the process, still the most tragic ship to date. I love these two so much, I still can't believe how they could continue the show with that "stupid boy like albert" (Victoria's words not mine, although mine wouldn't be any better ;) ) and not with Vicbourne, the show would've blown up if they really would've continued this story line and most of all it just would've made it much more beautiful! Both Lord M and Victoria deserved happiness in their lives and they would've been more than happy together.

If you were to read history, you would see that Lord Melbourne was not fiction. They were together for 4 yrs. His history is very interesting. Look it up. Lord Melbourne was very real. Wonderful story!
