I find it cute that House was initially interested in her. He was trying to figure out just why on Earth she was interested in him. She was a puzzle at the time. Once House figured her out at dinner he completely lost all interest in her.
He didn’t lose interest, he just didn’t see her as an equal so he felt he was talking advantage of a child basically, and his integrity wouldn’t allow that. Same reason he refused to sleep with that hot chick stalking him, it wasn’t just because she was underage.

Took re-watching the show to realize that Cameron did TRULY love House. First I thought it was because she was into damaged men, but she even said that she loved him in the final episode, her character had more depth than I gave her credit for
I also think she truly loved him. If he was just a charity case for her, she wouldn't feel so awkward near him. That's how you behave when you have a crush on somebody
I don't think this format of television series would even be half as popular worldwide nowadays, if the House series didn't exist. Definitely not in Brazil, at least.
Until it started going for that 'lame humour' and awkward quirkiness that infected US tv for a couple of decades (and counting). First few seasons with the original cast was great.

But when asked if he would genuinely not want to see House and Cameron together he replies "look, wanting it to happen is different to thinking it will happen - you can put me in the want camp, it would be terrific [because] she's absolutely gorgeous". So I think HL was torn between it being a nice idea but not practical in the show due to their age difference. Hence we end up with Cameron with Chase and House with Cuddy (all similar ages). Jennifer Morrison (who plays Cameron), on the other hand, when asked if she liked the idea of House and Cameron is 100% in favour. Hope that answers your question!

I guess Hugh Laurie either really didn't want to play a romantic storyline with Jennifer Morrison or extremely wanted with Lisa Edelstein so they changed it. David Shore doesn't change his ideas just like that.

My own view for why Hameron never happened was a combination of HL's misgivings about the age gap, and the fact that Cameron and Chase were dating (and got engaged) in real life. I imagine the writers thought it a lot easier (and, in my opinion, a lot less interesting) to go with the pairings they did. By the time Morrison and Spencer broke up (around the time of S4?), the relationship train on screen had already left the station. Of course, I could be completely wrong :D
I remember buying the Box set of seasons 1 to 7 when Blockbusters were having a closing down sale. I thought it was too good to be true, Got outside & was immediately hit by a car. My boxset was destroyed lol

I disagree, Dr. Cameron is Peak cuteness in House, but 13 was hotter bc despite having masculine tendencies that would turn most guys off even though one might be pretty enough to look past that unattractive quality to a man, 13's physical appearance was peak beauty in that show, I mean her face is so pretty, it doesnt feel real or fair to have that kind of a cheat code... I mean her face is so pretty that if she stands next to 3 other attractive girls, 13 would make them look average lol
She was SO gorgeous (and a good actress as well) but so were some of the other beautiful women on that show. Plus the fact that it had the best dialog of anything I've seen in the last 20 or 30 years, for sure. Always wished it had never ended, just like Firefly/Serenity.

It's not a tangible thing that can be described precisely, but I had a couple friends who thought she was the hottest thing in the world. I totally agree.

They're not coworkers anymore in this scene so it's not harassment. It would qualify as harassment if House was the one offering the position in exchange for the date. But in this case it's Cameron making the offer. It's definitely distasteful, regardless of gender, or morally wrong, but from a company standpoint, totally permissible.

I own the complete set on DVD, and I still miss these people each time I see them. Time is lost. Change is the only inevitability.
