2008 Massey Ferguson 5465 Tier III (10 ISO Engine HP/ 100 PTO HP) with Dyna4 Transmission, Hours: 1815, Perkins 6.6L 1106D Engine, Common Rail Fuel Injection, Air-Ride & Swivel Seat, Rear Wheel Weights, Massey Ferguson DL280 Loader, 84" Bucket, Bale Spear & SoftRide. We sold this tractor new and recent trade-in on New Massey Ferguson.

Which engine do you prefer in the 5465, 6.6 Perkins or 6.6 sisu?
Perkins Motors were Legendary for Many Years But the AGCO Power (SISU) Engine has much better Fuel Economy and Torque than the previous Perkins. Biggest thing is AGCO Powers solutions to meet Clean Air Standards is superior to just about any other manufacturer. Just discussing 10 minutes ago with son and grandson of the former CaseIH dealer in town....How could Massey Ferguson not have a DPF on over 75HP Tractors and how do they use so little DEF...the Difference starts with the AGCO Power Engine!

Thanks for taking the time to answer questions. I’ve got a 265 with a Perkins 3.9 and it’s been a reliable machine. I believe it’s a 76 model. Older than me by a while haha
Great Motor but Perkins did not keep up with the Ag Industry when they were purchased by Caterpillar. Nothing bad you can say on the older Perkins with Reliability, Performance and Fuel economy but the modern world has made changes and that is where AGCO Power Engines have changed the game...especially with the addition of Fendt CVT in Massey Ferguson Tractors.
