THE OTTERS! (even tho they aren't sea otters, I still love them! 😊) What a beautiful habitat, too! I'd pull up a lawn chair to the viewing platform and spend the next 12 hours watching them! 😂 My heart is so happy, thank you FewC!! Also...love the new Planet Zoo intro scene. The penguin is so cute!
I love seeing you not only building habitats but also interconnecting them in many different and interesting ways. This food court looks incredible and what a nice touch to have this little viewing plattform at the corner of the Otters, which btw. are so cute, omg. I could watch them all day. This glass wall on the other side looks massive, as if you're inside an aquarium. Amazing! Edit: are you able to put donation buckets (idk what they're called) inside the habitat along the path and does this path has an education effect?
Thanks Duszh, and thanks for becoming a patreon!! And yes you can add them inside, although I find they do alright at the entrance as is, although would probably get more money if they were inside too!
These are without doubt the most comprehensive, beautifully explained, entertaining Planet Zoo building/game play guides I've watched. I've watched many. You manage to cover everything at a perfect pace, and have a bit of a giggle at the same time. Very much appreciated and I'm going to rewatch this playlist several times I suspect - I've just returned to PZ myself. I'm sorry I didn't catch these when you first posted them, I do hope you have plans to continue and I hope you're checking back for comments and you these this. Subscribed as a result. Many many thanks!!
Thank you so much! Very kind words and I'm glad it was both useful and entertaining for you, it's always warming to hear that! Yes the series is still ongoing, however the views aren't at the same level as my Cities Skylines content unfortunately so Cities has to come as the priority for me and I fit in Zoo as and when I can. There's a new one on the way next week though! Thanks again and welcome to the channel!
I know that this has been over a year since you did these videos but I wanted to let you know that I appreciate you doing these! I just got the game and the tutorial missions in the game absolutely blow. I also love the detail that you put into your habitats and the overall aesthetics! Thank you!
Love not only the build, but the new intro for FC zoo - so cool and funny with the penguin running up the rear! Wonderful and entertaining as always Few. Full of vision and creativity.
You never cease to amaze me with your talent, imagination, and creativity Few! This is an amazing build and you're right, Otters are just simply adorable. I really like the way you structured this habitat and the walk through aspects. I'll just say it again ... Simply amazing! Thank you!! And BTW ... LOVING the new intro for the Planet Zoo series!!
Few! I LOVED how this turned out!! First the new logo entrance is amazing - so cute! I think the colors on the food court building look really nice and it was nice to see the different building style (also loved the glass awnings on the staff building). And those otters!! The cutest! Another wonderful job! 👍🏼👍🏼
fabulous attention to detail yet again. love the lush foliage in the otter exhibit. and I learned you can put guest paths through the exhibit. I didn't know that was possible. love the raised food court Really neat plaza for sure.
This was such a great video! Thanks for the reminder to take care of my guests haha-I play sandbox and I've definitely been forgetting to add bathrooms... The otter habitat turned out massive but really nice with the long grass and flowers all around. If you're ever unsure which plants are traversable, I tested all of them and made a list (there's a video of the process on my channel). I'll have to check out some of your other videos as well, I for some reason had no idea otters can have a walkthrough habitat.
Thank you! I checked out your channel and your builds are lovely, keen to watch more andd I'll definitely check the traversable plant video, I need that! 😅
@@fewcandy Thank you!! I've been binging your beginner's guide playlist, I love it! Great thing to have on in the background while zoo planning / doing other work :)
So much talent in these videos. I have to ask: When doing something seemingly simple, like, starting around 6:28 when you built the staff area with the roofs and awnings, how long does it actually take you to do that?
Thank you! That staff area probably took 20 mins id say, each episode usually takes about 5-6 hours to record, but then a lot of that could be cut out as it’s me planning what’s happening next! But yes, it does take a little while to put even simple areas together!
Absolutely exquisite build and such a great video! I'm working on a North America area in my zoo and was searching for the walkthrough habitat ideas to build one with beavers and raccoons. Did not find those specific ones (there are many beaver habitat build videos but not the walkthrough ones). Maybe you would consider creating something like that? :) That would be awesome. Thank you!
OMG!!! You built a beautiful habitat for my favorite animal! I think I'll join Meesa on the deck. Can I have one named after me too please? Great foods and drinks area too. Thank you for the information on how to get facility buildings situated and connected on raised paths. Love your new into too. Thanks for another PZ episode.
Thanks to your lovely tutorials I'm finally starting to get a hang of the game! Your builds are absolutely gorgeous and otterly (I'm sorry 😅) inspiring! I've also managed to buy ALL of the DLCs using your link, most were barely a third or even a fourth of the price on Steam!
Thank you! And thank you so much for using my link! And glad you are otterly (love it 😆) inspired! I love this game and always pleased to hear people find this series helpful! More to come soon!
Too help with pick pockets and security using security camera does help alot, i only have a few security guards and cameras in important busy areas, like my reptile house and around shops and the entrance area keeps pickpockets down and catches them easily too Also another tip, max out power research, solar panels have no negative effect and have no running cost, so you can place them around with no problems, definitely makes it alot easier and they pay for themselves
Thank you! Absolutely will continue, I've just been super busy with work the last few months and Cities Skylines content has to take priority as that is the main content on my channel, but absolutely will be more to come on this series, I love this game!
@@fewcandy That's great new you have made my week, you have re ignited my love for Planet Zoo, and City Skylines and I thank you for all the hard work you put in to each episode
Just found the series today and have already binge watched it all! (left a few comments on the way too) I previously said that the prairie dog habitat was my favourite but you managed to top that with the otters'! Just love it! So pretty and peaceful! Just wanna chill in there with the otters all day long 😍😍 Thank you so much for all the content, and please keep it coming, I bought the game with your instant gaming link and I'll need all the help I can get! PS: if you'd still like name suggestions for the otters may I put foward Harry (p)Otter and Buttercup Cumbersnatch (or any and all variations of Benedict Cumberbatch's name) 😂😂
Love the new intro and this build. That’s a very grand food court indeed. Is it possible to make the water clearer as it looked quite murky behind the glass barrier?
I really love the layout of the new eating area. Overall, it's a great addition to the zoo. Unfortunately, the "Bright colorful patterns" don't properly when they're not in the sunlight. You could potentially recolor the rock texture pattern in a "city camouflage". It might look better in the shade. Or If you feel up to it... Maybe you could add in a few skylights so that sunlight can reach the existing rock textures. Edit: Maybe you could add a few lights that are focused on the rock texture patterns. Artifical lighting might help it properly.
Fantastic as always! That island is my favorite part of the build, to be honest. It turned out so well and each angle looks really natural. I just went to the Smithsonian Zoo last week where they have an asian-small clawed otter habitat and I was shocked to see how little deep water they had, so I'm not sure where PZ got it's dimensions because the otters in game spend most of their time up near the surface. I'm always disappointed at how little deep water they use compared to the massive amount you have to include (and then detail) in the game. Oh, and two things. You know you can turn the ticket notice off in settings without disabling the other notices? And to save yourself a bit of clicking when you're training staff you can select the square next to "Vendors" and it selects all of the vendors and a bar at the bottom allows you to train, assign, fire, and change the salary of all of them at once. Anyway, I'm excited to be so early, and this is a very inspiring build as always. Thanks for making this one! Can't wait for the seals next time 🎉🎉
How long before next episode??? I have been bing watching all of them since I am new to the game and I find them very helpful and inspiring, but I have finished them all already :( so sad, want to see the full fledged invisioned zoo you have planned already :3
Thank you! And the next episode will be within the next couple of weeks, I've been very busy at work at PZ has to take a back seat to Cities Content as that was the bread and butter of my channel to begin with, but this series will definitely continue and I'll get the episodes out as fast as I can, they take a long time to record!
Still watching auridon, canal area is amazing, and I have a confession 😢 I thought office area roads etc was weird, until final result which is spectacular!!!!! ❤ ps, I love otters too
Can otters climb trees? Because if so, their escape route over the fence is guaranteed. 🤣😂 It'll be the penguins all over again. Also, do walk-through enclosures in real life not have some sort of airlock/double gate system to stop the otters sneaking out while you're entering or leaving? #freedom While I am very pro animal escape in electronic zoos, honestly, i just love watching you build stuff. It's so zen. #freetheotters #noneedtofreethepenguinstheycangetoutwhenevertheylike
Eek - please lose the apostrophe from ATMs. It's a simple plural. I know it looks like the apostrophe is needed because it's standing in for missing letters, but using that reasoning would require it to be A'T'M'S, which is silly. If that feels uncomfortable, just have ATM on the sign. The fact there are two doesn't matter.
THE OTTERS!
