On the facts that Danny stated in regards to sexual abuse playing part in a touch trigger it is quite accurate, as someone who has dealt with sexual abuse in my past and am now dealing with PTSD to this day I can say that yes sometimes it can cause anxiety although for me it's really only there in real life or when explicit sexual things are brought up in games regardless of what game (It as a matter of fact happened to me in Minecraft where I had a panic attack as the individual began doing a sort of ERP with me without consent and ignoring that I was very likely a minor) and it's especially prominent with those I knew from when I was incredibly young. Additionally I completely agree with Danny's point in which you have an in game touch trigger where you will have full on panic attacks because of something of the sort I beg you please do get help, because you will suffer a lot, additionally and I'm not trying to be mean but if you have a lot of people going after you for having a potential sensitivity to being touched then you can get a couple friends who you trust and play on the Party Island instead so you are somewhere that people wont be able to upset you. Now of course I still see the reason that many individuals don't believe that it can potentially cause anxiety and or discomfort. But please just don't try to start a fight in regards to it because it's pointless and if they do get anxiety due to being touched in game then it could potentially make the problem worse so just don't.
Practically, tt is just a mock, there's a touch phobia, and tt is considered a mock, why? Because you can't get triggered in a 8bit game, like bro? You're just in a game that has booping, and most of the TT are fake because I see most in a crowded area and touching people
@@yourlocalalexa2544 ☢⚠️Warning : FACTS AHEAD!!!☢⚠️ cleary u didnt watch the full video. Im sorry that happened to u but ur statement is 100% the truth ppl can be jerks specifically in ponytown. Some people are fake but some are not people dont understand some of it is because serious trauma. Then it results in endless arguments and fighting and harrasment of people who even arent faking it.
As someone who feels like puking when my dad sits close to me, I probably do have a serious TT. But being in PT is very comforting, it's where I can chase around pretending to beat each other with brooms, cuddle and kiss, with people I met a minute ago. I completely don't understand how a TT can be in a 2D game, but respecting other's wishes is usually not that hard. Unless they yell at me for being closer than 3 horse lengths away or something, if you have time to yell at me you have time to hide me, so stfu.
tbh, if someone has touch trigger then okay fine. but this is just my opinion: i don't understand touch triggers in a pixel horse game, i understand if someone can get uncomfortable when a player is too close but some people gotta learn the difference between an actual trigger and discomfort. when i used to play ponytown more there was nobody with triggers and now ponytown is full of these people who either joke about having TT or who are being serious. it was so hard to play, where ever you go there are people who have TT and then they complain about the people. if someone has actual TT or just discomfort they should sit far away from others and not cry when a place is crowded. i remember when i was playing with a big group of people and we were at that area first, then someone with TT came there and sat with us then they asked us to move..? not everyone knows that some people has tt or td. so if someone has TT then fine, but just stay away from people. i didn't mean to disrespect anyone with this comment, so if you got mad at me get out, i hope that you guys understand my point, i do not want to start a fight with my honest opinion 🙏 edit: if you have an actual TT irl, then i understand that even more than the triggers in a pony game
If that player came to you and touched you then got made for being touched, they are in the wrong. It can't be justified and is an example of a player that might be one of the fakers. I can see why you think the way you do if those are the experiences you have had.
@@dannyballsub I don't think TT is real, it's just a made up thing. Why? Because TT is a mock to the touch phobia, whoever even started this was practically stupid imo
@@yourlocalalexa2544 I respect Your Opinion, but I beg of You. Let Others stick to Their beliefs. I will say I'm not going against You, but let Us all stick with Our Opinions. Don't try to change Theirs.
I think its Stupid, I myself have haphephobia. It feels like my genuine discomforts are being mocked and turned into a fun little quirk. Its all just a cute little trend to them, not wanting your cute little pixlized pony to be "touched" in game just Doesnt compare to the genuine discomfort I've experienced. (Only an opinion)
It's like they do it for the drama because they know that they are going to get touched at some point and then they get to make a scene and be the center of attention
If that's what you think of TT then just leave them alone and ignore them. If you're correct then it will die off. If you are wrong, you'll at least save yourself the headache of arguing.
i also have haphephobia due to trauma and mental disorders which just make things more extreme than things actually are... basically i have TT irl. when im in game, it rly isnt bad.. the worst it is is giving me a little anxiety and a few of these full body shivers i get when being touched irl. i dont get triggered and rage at someone if they touch me, i just simply hide them. it isnt that hard. i honestly think the majority of ppl who claim to have TT actually just want ppl not to interact with them, or theyre simply exaggerating the slight discomfort they get if someone repeatedly boops them of something. JUST PUT DNI IN UR NAME!!! editing to add on: it honestly hurts when i see these ppl who claim to have TT sit in the middle of the fucking road or something and then rage when someone walks past them. its pretty much mocking ppl who actually have it. dissapointing
If you have tt i suggest you to go to the party Island with your friends if you hate being crowded or being boop or snuggle by some pony(people). Really glad someone made a post about this!
Glad someone made a video about TT on Pony Town. I respect TT/TD, I mean I have a friend with TT and another with KT (Kiss trigger), and if you have TT, heres my advice: 1. Do not sit in crowded areas, such as Spawn, 18+ Docks, ect. Yes, I understand wanting to meet more people in certain areas to make new friends with similar interests, but it could lead to getting touched by a stranger on accident due to where you sit; as an example, FNF/NG area on PG server, (using as a example since I'm most often there.) Don't sit at the wall, bench, or path; sit at let's say on or next to the cliffs, you're less likely to get touched, and it's still quite close to FNF/NG area. 2. If someone wont leave you alone, HIDE THEM. I understand not liking to hide people (I don't like hiding people myself), BUT there comes a point where you NEED to hide someone, so please, don't yell or fight, just hide them, its a feature for a reason. 3. If you just plan on talking to your friends, do it on Party Island, not in Public. No strangers are going to touch you there.
Ive always respected Danny and always will. Now I respect him even more for being a good, neutral person about this. Danny is one of my idols and I'm glad he brought this up and brought up good and bad things from both sides. Now I gotta check if I really did sub to him before.
Glad someone finally spoke out for both sides of this argument in a civil matter, truly annoying to see arguments about this where it’s just them throwing insults at one another, as that gets nowhere.
Yes and hopefully the people that pick up the conversation from here will be able to underatand TT to its fullest extent and what can be done to help as both sides stop fighting
The one thing that confuses me with the whole touch trigger/touch discomfort issue (actually this goes for any issue that occurs in PT) is that...why can't they just hide them? Like if you hide them, they can't really mess with you anymore so, I don't see what the issue is. I feel like a lot of people in PT forget that the hiding/muting option is a thing and just sometimes make an issue that can easily be avoided more worse than it needs to be.
I’m gonna put my opinion here too: TT/TD/CD/ETC. Are there to try and make gameplay more comfortable. Except when people use that knowledge to make you more uncomfortable. I myself do not have a TT/TD normally, but I do have a skin for if I’m disturbed and need a bit of space. I never understood it fully until those small moments. It’s hard to explain, but to me when i am infact using that skin and someone sits next to me, it basically simulates sitting next to someone in a bus in my head. I’m nervous. I don’t know how else to explain it. But even before I had a somewhat idea of what it’s like, I still thought if it as something I should just respect. It may not make sense, but just try to make others comfortable and welcome. Yeah I probably did an awful job at explaining my view and I apologize for that but uh best attempt
Thank you for this!! I personally am uncomfortable with random people touching me (and also interacting with me) because I have pretty severe social anxiety (which I'm diagnosed with, but currently unable to get help for atm but plan to when I'm able to) as well as autism and several other NDs, all of which I'm diagnosed with, but I personally don't put TT in my name (as it's not an actual trigger), I put either TD (touch discomfort) or DNT (do not touch), and depending on how I'm feeling DNI (do not interact). Players walking through me or accidentally touching me doesn't bother me, but intentional touching like booping, kissing, etc does cause me anxiety, especially unexpectedly or without warning me first. I generally avoid crowded areas and I spend a lot of time on party island, although at times I'm feeling more okay I will go and just chill in more crowded areas, mostly to people (pony?) watch/look at people's skins (my anxiety levels fluctuate depending on many factors). This also doesn't apply to just pony town, this applies to other games and real life. I'm totally cool with touching and interactions with friends/family, it's just strangers/people I don't know well. Generally, if I say something, I'm okay with people interacting with me, and if I'm not, I take measures to prevent being touched, and in the event I am touched, I'll either just walk away or explain to them that I'm not comfortable with it. (I would also like to note that even though I'm an adult (18), I'm uncomfortable with seggsual/sensitive topics so I always stay in the safe server, I've never even been in the 18+ server.) I really appreciate your unbiased opinion, and I really hope that the people who genuinely do get triggered by it get better, and that the people just doing it for a trend learn that having a trigger isn't cool at all :) (btw I don't normally talk with this much perfect grammar, I just thought I'd have better grammar here since it's a pretty long comment)
I do not have a touch trigger or anything relating to it. But I have had encounters with people in ponytown that claim to have TT. I haven't had an encounter with someone who seems to be obviously faking it. I also encountered someone who said they were going to go around booping people to prove whether or not they are faking it, which really just rubs me the wrong way. I personally feel like even if you do think they night be faking it, don't go out of your way to prove it just incase. My sister has had an encounter with someone who was very obviously faking it and got angry at her for simply walking past them and their group of friends, but she walked by again later on with a different skin and they didn't say jack squat until she changed into the pony she was before they got mad at her again. I can't stand when someone is faking a disorder, I also can't stand when someone goes out of their way to prove whether or not someone is faking it. It's best to just leave them alone.
I don't like seeing people get upset, and now, due to TT and TD I check almost everyone's names before moving. I feel really bad when people act/are upset because of something I did. It makes me feel horrible. So please, don't fake it, it does nothing for you or anyone else.
I think you have a very fair opinion on this. I myself suffer from haphephobia in real life and have since Elementary. It used to be so bad that when someone would touch me, I’d pass out. Even friends or family. My haphephobia is gotten much better over the years to where it is more of a discomfort. I’m able to tolerate close friends and family with warning and I’m also able to completely handle my boyfriend. This has been such a struggle my whole life. I recently came back to pony town, which I have been playing since grass art and dark crappy outlines, to suddenly see “TT” plastered everywhere. Once I figured out what it was it felt like a joke to me. People I asked didn’t even know what haphephobia was. I would get yelled at for lagging into players, or simply walking into a player when they were in my path. In my own opinion, triggers are going over board. But, in the end even though I do not understand it, I will still respect people with it and not bother them or purposely touch them. It does make me feel like a joke sometimes but that’s the price I play for playing in the 18+ server. My word of advice for people with TT. Go to the safe servers.
Someone yelled at me for being close to them when their name was so long that I couldn't see the TT in their name. Like seriously? That is not my fault. It pisses me off.
@@DahRealCheeze same, someone called me ugly and told me to move because my pony color palette burn their eyes. I have a TD (touch discomfort) in real life, which was developed into me because of abuse. It has been with me for a lot but it started to get worse around 2020 , more likely when Coronavirus started. I don't have TD in the game at the moment, but I'm so happy that someone finally talks about this topic without standing in one side! Good job, you deserve an award and a 👑 for this!
I’m excited for this, my friend doesn’t like being touched on pony town. She’s constantly disrespected by people who don’t know what it’s like to have a trigger she has to hide them or get someone to scream at them. I hope this’ll spread awareness.
Its going to fairly look at both sides and attempt to encourage people to respect TT while also analyzing what TT is and how the community acts around it
As someone who personally has occasional touch discomfort caused by literally being s.xually h.rassed irl, I can understand both sides. Like mentioned, it's easy to let the person with td/tt be as well as hiding someone who purposely pushes your buttons. Also, there are some quiet places on PT that can easily be found if you just wonder around, I'm sure you'll find someplace you can consider safe outside of party island. Yelling at each other will not only take more effort, but it'll start actual hate and discourse between the two sides and we don't want that. To put it simply; don't give anyone your attention if they seem to be purposely bothering you. Likewise, watch out for fakers who also purposely gets in your space only to blame you for 'triggering' them.
Yes there are some very quiet places. Usually the bottom half of the map has less players and the very top left only sometimes has ponies there that are meeting up
I personally do not have a TT BUT I am uncomfortable with excessive touching in Ponytown (TD), so I really appreciate you coming forward and speaking about it.
Finally Danny posted about TT situation!! Ive been waiting for this for so long and thank you for sharing the light to this. I do respect those who has TT/TD but never been supported the idea of TT. Trauma can happen in video games or social medias. Also another note;; there is this one specific account on twitter who claimed to be TT awareness but its just posting images of users to be avoided [imo it wasn't that helpful] so I don't recommend supporting that account due to personal experiences.
@TT_awarenezz I'm guessing? Yeah, if it turns out we were wrong and TT is in fact a real thing in some weird way, the people who run that account have done such a poor job of educating or bringing awareness to it and harmed the movement so much in the process. But I guess that's just Twitter for you, creating drama while pretending to care about sensitive topics.
HI!! Main host of the account here. I stated in my bio that we were gonna document our experiences. We also left a card Regarding our trigger. We wanted to make sure people with TT don't interact with such people so such situations won't happen again. (If any harassment sent on the account due to this comment you will be blocked /srs)
I dont like TT people at all, a lot of them bullyed me and blame me things that I haven't done So Everytime I see a TT or TD I just hide them I don't need to deal with them in any way and don't want,in that way there's no drama if I accidentally touch them or something
@@Polaroid67500 No no, hiding is a great option. I'd much prefer to be hidden than someone to accidently tread on me. The only problem with hiding, is well we can't talk or anything.
It's good that you hide them, they can be real mean at times for such a small thing like *asking what a TT is.* you done the right thing by hiding them, avoiding drama
Honestly, I think you hit the nail right on the head with the point that people don't seem to actually understand what a trigger is. I've seen people describe their "triggers" as things that just make them uncomfortable, which is just not what a trigger is.
this video gave me more information about TT's, on July I acidently touched someone on the road in the minecraft area and they started shouting at me, it was supposed to be a joke, its gave me anxiety to talk to people over there and im still scared to go back. After the incident I searched up what TT's meant and I saw they meant touch triggers. I still remember the incident and when i bring it up i still can imagine what happened still. Edit: I have a phobia of shouting and yelling. on the internet I may get anxiety from it but im working on how to stop it.
Honestly, In my personal opinion, TT in Pony Town is honestly stupid. 1: How do you even get uncomfortable by someone booping you or going through you in a pixel pony game? I don't think that's how that works. Sure if its IRL or VR, That's completely fine. But a pony game? 2: It makes Pony Town so hard to play when there's so many people with TT, Yes i know you can still talk to them and stuff, but sometimes they will literally complain if your even 2 blocks away from them. It just doesn't make sense. 3: Their not touching you in general, booping or kissing or sneezing and stuff like that is not actual touch. I know i said this in number 1, but dude. 4: Most of the time I just see people with TT, just going near people in general. 5: Every little thing that you do around them, they always have something to complain about. Even if your not 'touching' them, they'll find a way to complain since your talking to them. I don't see a 'DNI' in your name? 6: It's mocking people with a actual phobia, Haphephobia, which stated in the video, its a actual fear of being touched. And people are now using it in virtual games as a 'quirk' or 'trend' or stuff like that. That shits not funny man. It's just disgusting. REMINDER: If you have TT, Sure, Whatever, but seriously. If your faking to have TT, That's absolutely disgusting at the fact that you even would have the BALLS to do that. But please, if you actually do have TT, Keep in mind to stay away from them, and hide them. Don't waste your time arguing with them. It'll just make the problem worse. Thank you.
Seeing people with "dont crowd/cover" in their name while sitting in the middle of docks and yelling at others for covering/crowding them is just hilarious at this point
TD/DNTUF is another label you can use for touch disturbance / discomfort instead of a trigger! ( I use TD whenever i don’t want anyone who i dunno to touch me or DNTUF ( do not touch unless friend. ) )
I personally that TT in ponytown is ok because as someone with an irl tt and tt in my ponytown name, I understand how it could be triggering. But that doesn't allow you to start shouting at them or getting mad if they're touching you, just inform them and if they continue, hide/block them.
I feel quite relieved that you did make a video about this, you have a fair amount of following and its good that it will help both sides of the arguement understand, considering most of the people who claim they have tt are possibly kids, since minors who dont know any better tend to go on 18+ as well. I agree that possibly those people who go to crowded areas are faking it, because i saw someone complain about a regiment occupying the docks to roleplay saying things like "illegal parking, thats the TT area you are occupying it" wtf? There wont entirely be a TT area. And this whole thing happened a few weeks when everyone argued that no one owns the ponytown game and there will always be changes, and that you dont own a spot on the map. Overlapping ppl and being near them Unknowingly abt their discomforts, i just move further away and give people space and apologise, i respect if you claim to have TT just please dont yell at people who genuinely arent aware. I fear the humiliation of having people say bad sht and rumours about you just because you did something they didnt like, it will end really bad and suck so hard when you no longer feel safe with a skin you love Hosting school rps tend to get hard as well because people get upset whenever someone with TT joins in, I admit that i get annoyed but not because they have TT or claim they do, I get annoyed at the chaos and arguments that will insue. Having people argue and push each other with their disagreements. Just leave each other alone. Be patient with one another and just dont be an asshole, it doesnt cost you anything to be kind
Hello, i hope its fine that i talk about my experience with people who have TT/TD and things related to it. so i play ponytown less and less just because of this. I had told people with the TT/TD tags to take breaks or hide the people who touch them when they are getting triggered. most of which said No.. in the past i even used to protect people with the TT/TD tags. i protected my friends. but nowerdays i just really get tired when seeing anyone with the tags near spawn or crowded areas. I try to avoid them. i try to avoid them, avoiding to trigger them. i look at spawn for the farest place away from them. i have gotten death threats, gotten told that they're is gonna do my mom. got called many bad names.. and even seen my friends and people i talked with got the same treatment. i been on ponytown since 2019. and until now i have only seen people with TT or TD in 2021. i only say that if you get triggered over booping, please step away from the game for atleast an day or hour. and then come back. i personally have a very bad experience with these people. but i still try to please them by staying away. i avoid hiding them if they dont do anything. but i am considering hiding them all just so i can play in peace and not worry so much and not live in fear because i hate getting yelled at... also i respect your opinions on this and i hope what i talked about makes sense! :D
I'm a very toxic person and I don't know why, but I hate stuff like this because it makes it so hard to know who has it and who doesn't, I just hate the idea of someone doing this for having the "quirky" status, it's the reason why I like making fun of them and bullying them even though it's wrong and it's mean, but It just bugs me to much to not do it. It's just like, this is a 2-d game don't act like this, and I usually find out the people who do this just want more interaction by acting out when being touched in a pony game made out of the most visible pixels which should very, and I mean VERY easily to serperate life from game. It's always fun, avatar, roleplaying games that this happens and it makes me so angry.
Simple to say-- They likely don't. It's impossible to have a touch TRIGGER in a 2D video game. The people that say this normally are using it as an excuse for other characters not to touch theirs. Normally 3D games (known as VR for the most part) are notorious for people with touch triggers since you yourself are actually playing the character IN the game. As a PT player I can say 70% of the players I've seen on PT have 'TT' or 'TD' in their name. It's just odd
I believe it's mostly trolls, trends or misinformation about triggers I think the people that really do have a touch "trigger" just have some really big discomfort. tbh, report either side being assholes If someone with TT harasses you for brushing by them while walking to a certain location, hide & report, a trigger isn't an excuse for harassment Same on the other side
I just dont get how ppl with Tt sit in crowded areas for fandoms and expect ppl to avoid them T^T "lemme sit in the middle of spawn or in a fandom area and get angry when people are near me ( as in a horse's length or so ) great video tho, like this would actually help keep things more civil n stuff with tt if more ppl watched it
I personally don't entirely understand TT, I respect it as much as I can though. CD/CT(cover discomfort/trigger) makes more sense to me, I even have it myself. I'll respect TT any time and apologize whenever I accidentally touch them CD for me just makes me confused on where I am, I want either both my characters eyes showing or my character completely covered, it's not severe and it's only under certain situations like stress or exhaustion and such. Zooming out can make me dizzy if I lose track of my character as well so I prefer to have my fov fairly close to my character
At this point in time, I honestly feel like the TT/TD thing is like tik tok and DID, there’s a sudden rise in it; for no reason really, many people faking. Except pony town is different, I have actual trauma from physical abuse when I was little and *hate* touch, no matter what; my therapist has said td/tt in the likes of ponytown literally does not exist, an exception is vr games.
There's a difference between discomfort and triggers and I feel that's what has people more annoyed and confused about. I respect triggers and all, but I feel the touch trigger can only happen in deep world games such as VR, not a pixle game like Pony town. There isn't no physical contact, just pixles. I feel if someone is really bothered by others being near them or touching them then they need to seek help. This is going to sound mean, but its the truth. You can't expect everyone to respect your trigger or understand it. So in order to avoid that you should distance yourself from the game and seek professional help. If games such as Pony Town cause you to have to tell others constantly about your trigger, then I suggest just seeking help and playing a game that doesn't make you feel that way. Simple as that.
Everybody has to be a victim and find new triggers to use to try and get everyone to bow to. everybody always gotta think they're special and ruin the game for everyone.
no. i dont agree with it at all. its turning something that ruins alot of people's lives into a quirky little trend on a pixel pony game. "touch triggers" can only exist on virtual reality games and im guessing fps games? not sure, im not an expert on the subject but i did certainly have an interesting read about the whole matter on a google document i found. this touch trigger trend really reminds me of the people on tiktok faking mental illness. these people on pony town who have touch triggers and make exceptions for certain people are the actual worst, people with real and genuine haphephobia cannot pick and choose who they can or cannot touch. they cant even physically interact with people they love, such as family, friends and partners, and i imagine its horribly mentally painful to have to live like that. to see people take this and turn it into a cute quirk on a horse game is so utterly and genuinely disrespectful to people who actually have to live like this in the real world. i guarantee you almost all of these people with a touch trigger is fine in real life, just like those fakers on tiktok. people with haphephobia have spoken up on the matter MULTIPLE times on how they find touch triggers disrespectful, which provides genuineness to all of my points. whats more is that the touch trigger community is so fucking toxic, people being called slurs and receiving death threats if they voice their opinion against it. it shouldnt have to be a matter of "just leave the people with touch triggers alone" it should just be "have some common fucking decency and dont turn an actual problem into a cute quirky trend on a pony chatroom game" my main source is this document: docs.google.com/document/d/1iU61v33NwdEuWsUpjO6W4_1VCardpVIncSe796kREAA/edit i do not know who wrote it, but i stand by the people actually suffering from haphephobia in that this just needs to stop
I'm a new player to Ponytown, from the start of this month, and although I'm confused to some extent about TTs, I picked up on them fairly quickly! I think it's really easy to just respect the people who have them, and while I understand people who find it a bit strange I'm not going to go againt someones wishes to not bother them yknow??
One day i was just playing ponytown when i saw a TT hate group boop a person with TT. i whispered to the person with TT to block them and they asked me if i had TT. I don't have TT so i told them no and they said oh. a few minutes later after following the TT hate group i asked them why they were picking on a person with TT. they asked me if i had TT i said no and they said well why don't you join us. I answer them with the words because you guys pick on people with TT people with TT are still people behind that screen. Then i hid them and became friends with the person who had TT after finding them again. Long story short, don't pick on people with TT.
Honestly this is a very good video on the subject. I personally don't believe TT as I've always felt like it popped up out of nowhere and spread almost suspiciously quickly, not to mention the lack of any real scientific or psychological studies into the phenomena and it not existing in, really, any other game with the possible exception to VR, and I do sympathize with any haphephobes IRL who feel mocked by TT. That said, I've been successfully ignoring TTs/TDs for the most part, since I don't want to cause any of what I've come to call "Twitter drama". Unfortunately I don't think anyone can be expected to just mouse over a pony while they are wandering around the map to avoid accidentally 'touching' someone who supposedly has TT, as its just not something you think about while exploring since its all done with the keyboard. I wish more of us who didn't believe TT could at least be more respectful and not go out of their way to harass or troll people with it, just as I wish people who claim to have TT would do anything they need to to better understand their condition, as I'm sure there must be something to it that's probably not even directly related to touch, and preferably stay away from known crowded areas in game, and try to give those who don't know the benefit of the doubt. Whew that's a long comment. Honestly I have been pretty opinionated on the topic for the longest time, guess I'm finally confident to make a publicly facing comment about it now instead of just several smaller comments on Discord servers or among close friends.
Yes I agree it spread suspiciously quick but I think part of that is in the large number of people that saw the TT thing and thought either 1)"I'm gonna pretend to have this to feel special!" or 2)"I'm gonna add this to my name so people leave me along because people are annoying" Or something similar to those ideas. Essentially only a small portion of people actually seem to have it from what I've experienced in the 18+ english server. But it doesn't make them all fake
A lot of ppl don't understand that trigger=/=mild discomfort, I once met a guy that said they were triggered by among us jokes and mentioning of Friday night funkin
If you have a TT, legit just get off PT. Nobody will take care of you, you have to do it yourself. I have dissociative identity disorder, so my system and I have to be very careful around triggers as to not trigger anybody. People stay at spawn and claim to have PT TT then expect others not to touch them, even if it's on accident. Honey, that's like saying "I have an alcohol trigger" and entering a bar while expecting people not to drink. Anyway, I personally think TT people should get off pony town for their own good..
I think you need to realise the fact there are people with literal hyperfixations or comforts to the game itself and telling them to get off of pt is really not fair, at all. Instead simply tell them to go to an isolated area or their party island, it's a lot nicer than going "If you have a TT, legit just off the game."
@@cymreicach I get that, sorry if I sounded mean, it wasn't my intention, I have hyperfixations as well, however, I think TT people should at least try to slowly leave the PT community, again, for their own good, or at least take care of themselves better, or , as you said, not go to crowded areas and expect others to check their name every time.
Some minor corrections, I also get panic attacks from being touched, I have PTSD, it has to do with sexual abuse but also other abuse related experiences, and I think I speak for some others too, saying that it is rather trust based, and it does not have to be the phobia, the symptom can exist on its own, I've eventually started to be able to be touched by the people I'm very close to like my husband and my best friend, I can even hug my best friend now, but if a stranger were to touch me or even get too close or look at me too long I would start to panic, it's pretty severe and occasionally in games which either look very realistic or require a lot of attention I can get uncomfortable seeing characters close to mine, especially in a game like Ponytown where I make a character that is a representation of myself even if it's not like real me it's still something my brain made and I associate it with me, I can deal with it but it can make me feel uncomfortable, that all said though I think this is a trend, the way these people talk about it makes me think they just want to create a divide between fandoms or what, and they're taking away attention from people that actually have TT.
i relate to ur comment a lot. i wrote this in another reply: i also have haphephobia due to trauma and mental disorders which just make things more extreme than things actually are... basically i have TT irl. when im in game, it rly isnt bad.. the worst it is is giving me a little anxiety and a few of these full body shivers i get when being touched irl. i dont get triggered and rage at someone if they touch me, i just simply hide them. it isnt that hard. i honestly think the majority of ppl who claim to have TT actually just want ppl not to interact with them, or theyre simply exaggerating the slight discomfort they get if someone repeatedly boops them of something. gr8 vid man. i haven't played ponytown since January and it was mostly due to how sensitive and dramatic people have been getting on the site. i wanna come back to play again but this subject/drama i just found out about thanks to ur vid popping up in my reccomened is yet another reason keeping me back. i just miss when the playerbase of ponytown was more laidback.
@@taxikatt5477 It's a fictional pixel touch bro. The human psyche shouldn't have stooped this low to have it be this prevalent/known. It's degenerate behavior.
@@taxikatt5477 I would it it weren't 8-bit ponies doing some simple touching emote on an online hangout game. I respect it IRL, but this is ridiculous. That should tell you I'm not a monster, just not normalizing degeneracy.
I can understand TT, not the touch phobia, but why some people would be touch triggered on a game. I get panic attacks on any game my character can die in. I’ve never experienced panic attacks with very slow going, easy games like Pony.Town🐴, but I get it. I have PTSD and could also see that if I was approached in a video game and didn’t give consent, and then got a traumatic memory from it, I probably wouldn’t want to be touched in any game because it would trigger that trauma. The difference is, if the person has access to help, then they shouldn’t need to put they are TT. They should be able to relieve the trauma and get better. Those who don’t know they have trauma and are figuring it out make sense to put they have TT.
I only have an issue with people touching my back irl, tho that's likely probably cuz of my autism. In game, I'm perfectly fine with touching and beyond that, cuz ig I'm able to detach myself from reality (ie. my own body). In real life tho, ya I do pay attention to where my back in facing, like if I'm in a restaurant my back needs to be facing the wall or away from the main open area. When entering a building with a group of people, I'd usually prefer to be the last to enter, at the very back of the group. Don't take hugs from strangers or even most acquaintances. Like, you'll KNOW if you're on good terms with me and a good friend of mine if I accept hugs from you. Ya gotta earn it. XD
I don't really have much to say on this other than that I saw TT happen on Mystical Meadows even before it became a thing on Pony Town, like some days I would see like 5 players on MM with TT at the end of their names and displaying the same behaviour as PT TT players. It happened from what I remember around begin 2021 and we even had some problems rise up from these players.
I can understand where these people are coming from, since it's awkward or uncomfortable having someone random go up to you and boop you, or talk to you, so I assumed *some* people were saying they had TT to simply avoid those interactions. Though, doing such would damage actual people with disorders in the process. PT has plenty of areas that are hardly touched (being the far left and lower areas of the map), so it's easy to go there if you want to avoid crowds. If not, being on a party island with only you and select friends should also work fine. (this bit might get me cancelled /hj) The reason I assumed it "wasn't entirely real" was because so many people claim to have it. Unless PT attracts people with disorders, I felt it's unlikely so many people would genuinely have the disorders people claim to have. (I understand this doesn't mean ALL people claiming to have it are fake, it's just a bit too easy to find people with disorders on PT.) Not to mention, it felt like people being more open with the disorders they have came up around the same time people on tiktok claimed to have disorders, and made them seem cute and funny.
I'm autistic and an SA survivor so the combination has me pretty fucked up when it comes to being touched. I have worked on my issues enough that I can have contact with people that I trust but there are limits and I struggle with intimacy which has been the downfall of many past relationships sadly. Sometimes if someone is constantly prodding at me or trying to nuzzle or cuddle up it can be extremely uncomfortable as I do struggle with paranoia as well. My brain goes to the worst-case scenario, and I assume they want to hurt me. But you will never see me run around with TT in my name. I feel like this entire TT issue has only made asking for space worse as people might assume and berate you just for asking for space anymore these days. I agree that kindness needs to be shown on both sides. These days I simply hide players if they are bothering me, but I miss being able to establish a boundary and people simply respecting it.
If someone puts themself into a situation where you are guranteed to be touched then I am going to assume they are faking it because TT is so horrible to experience, why ever purposely cause yourself to be triggered? Logically if they do that then they are one of the fakers doing it to give TT a bad name or to get attention. People with actual TT will avoid other players and often stand in the distance.
I think TD people are kinda annoying. They always sittin in public places and saying "DON'T TOUCH ME". Also its really ruins the rp. If TT/TD people doing rp,they always like "NUUU DON'T TOUCH ME CUZ TT"
They shouldn't be roleplaying or doing things that would lead to getting touched or surroubded by many people. In my opinion if they are doing that, then crying that they are getting touched, they're probably faking it because no real person with TT or TD will put themselves in situations like that
THANK YOU *SO MUCH* FOR THIS VIDEO- I myself, don't have TT or TD, and while I do not support it or anything, i will not go around making people feel uncomfortable I really hope people who fake having TTs stop doing that, and I hope people who do actually have TTs get the help they need :[ also, i'd like to say that the videos i've seen from you are really good, and i really like how you did your research on the topic!! Keep up the good work :D
as a person who has serious touch trigger IRL and in PT and as a person who dealt with sexual abuse few months later. im glad this post was made. because a lot of people don't understand what TT is, and do not believe in them.
if I see someone with TT or TD in their name I won’t touch them, because they could be actually uncomfortable with someone doing that, but I don’t like to interact with them much because they could be using it in a problematic way
my perspective as someone who has a TT: i have dealt with past trauma involving touch. i wont get into that cuz it is triggering but i will say is was sexual trauma. anyways, being touched in game reminds me of that past trauma which causes flashbacks and can cause a panic attack if the person wont listen to me when i tell them to stop. i do have a TT irl and have asked all my family and friends to refrain from touching me, as again it causes discomfort and or panic attacks. about the getting help thing, it is not easy to get a therapist or any type of help. what i do when i encounter touch in game is move away, if they follow and continue with touching i will tell them to stop. from there they will either stop or continue. depending on if its a troll or not i will then hide them. hiding ppl doesn't always solve the problem tho and here is why: the thought and idea that that person is still there and is possibly touching me is very uncomfy. the other reason is if it is a troll, hiding them is exactly what they want. fueling their ego can cause them to go on and harass other ppl which is not what id like. a good way to solve both of those issues is to distract myself to forget i hid someone in the first place, and or hide behind a close friend or a void pony and then tab out until the troll gives up. i hope this helped ppl to understand. not everyone is the same and things might be different for others but this is how things are for me
You can just hide them without telling them to stop. They want your attention so of course they will be pleased when you start saying random bs. When you hide somebody, they also cant see you anymore. Who tf would just start spinning around doing nothing? I know it's really hard to get help but there is actually therapy available. wish you luck and for your own good and my sanity, please hide people instantly if they 'trigger' you

I go to a small college and so the rooms are fairly small. But I never feel comfortable in the common room. It's probably one of the bigger rooms but for some reason if there are people in there I don't like it and when there aren't any, I still don't like it. Why? No idea! Me and my two closest friends have started going to the woods to eat our food. Though one of my friends goes to warm her food up before we do and so I tag along with her. I have to admit I feel a lot calmer this year than I did the last. But I still find it to be such a weird thing.
I don't know if you mentioned this, but TD / DNT (Touch discomfort / Do not touch) And TT (Touch trigger) are completely different, TT Is something people claim to have which I'm not going to hate on its their business, HOWEVER TD is very much different we don't get triggered by getting touched, we just find it weird/annoying/etc (Or its gen discomforting). But either way everyone please respect TT/TD you might not believe it but I'm pretty sure Youven been taught to respect others no matter what. Anyway, great video and good opinion!
I don't have TT what so ever but, I will do my best to respect those that actually do have it. This also explains why I've been having less and less people over time coming in randomly and boopping me to start a conversation. Which I obviously miss since I really don't mind people being around me or boopping me and so on.
@@dannyballsub I go entire Pony Town sessions without being booped at all which kind of makes me sad since I love talking to others and making new friends.
I'm sorry but I don't think you can have tt in a 2D game. Here's why: You are putting yourself in an ONLINE server with over 100+ people, some more friendly than others. There's absolutely no way you can NOT touch someone. Especially at the docks god that place is crowded. That's like going into a bar and screaming at everyone to stop drinking because it upsets you. YOU'RE putting yourself in that situation. It's up to you to get yourself out of that. Not others around you. If you can't handle that don't play the game at all. Simple.
Pony Town has a party island that allows you to remain secluded from the rest of the players and still enjoy it without fear. You won't get the same entertainment as everyone else, but it is an option for TT players who still want to play. As I pointed out in my video, people with TT should not be in these crowded spaces if they want to be taken seriously.
As someone that has tt I’m comfortable with my friends touching me, irl and in game or when it goes to strangers I don’t like speaking to them it makes me feel uncomfortable same goes to strangers and I can’t tell them it bothers me to touch me because I’m afraid of speaking publicly I like to vent to my friends when it goes to people touching me and asking if they can speak for me. And even in restaurants I can’t speak, I ask for family members to speak for me. And when any member, even like some new family member I see, I get uncomfortable when they speak to me or touch me I get panic attacks, I have someone who comforts me and makes me feel safe but I do need help with this issue
this video was uploaded a while ago and while i don't understand touch /triggers/ in the game, i understand touch /discomforts/. i have one myself, and while it makes me uncomfortable to have someone so close to me or boop me i'm not going to have a panic attack or anxiety attack over it; i can recognise that it's not real.
i feel exactly like this and it sucksss i dont freak out when people touch me in-game it js makes me uncomfortable even if its not actual physical touch and all the people who hate on people for being uncomfy with being touched makes me feel guilty and not wanna put anything in my bio about it so people dont start anything or think im one of the people doing it js to be different. i js wanna let people know not to randomly touch me if i dont know them but im scared to even do that atp 😭😭
Pony town is a comfort game for me and the whole premise makes me smile. My phobias only effect me in real life (vomit phobia, blood, and touching that makes me uncomfortable). I would understand if the phobia was something like spiders, and there were lots of giant spiders with sharp teeth running around in the game. But their isn't. And you can easily just hide people or leave.
Thing is people usually don't respect triggers, and that usually causes arguments in both sides. If people are EXTREMELY bothered by a person who has TT, there's a button called "Hide players for 24 hours/permanent" Same goes to the other side too, if there's a person going off about it, hide them
We should just have servers for people who are okay with touching and all that junk ; this is getting so mellow dramatic my eyes are rolling into the inside of my skull.
There was a karkat pony in a pink dress that i saw a few days ago that had tt in their name, they were under a tree and when i went under to get a better look they moved. I didn't touch them :(
I saw some people say : „touch triggers lol that doesn’t make sense!!“ or not related to the topic :“ D/As how do u still have them, so stupid „ 😬… so disrespectful!!!
I am uncomfortable with people touching me irl, but I’m not actually scared of it unless it’s a stranger (Which is probably the right thing to do in this situation), and it’s also uncomfortable when someone I know touches me without a warning. So I don’t count myself as someone who has haphephobia because touching just makes me uncomfortable. Also I’m pretty comfortable with ponies touching me in Pony Town though ‘v’ (Lmao no one wanted to hear this ;v;)
I have TD (touch discomfort) and people either boop me when I tell them not to I just don’t like it if I’m just vibing but I do get slightly uncomfortable (my TD comes from my arachnophobia and claustrophobia and just being touched in places I don’t like when going through the halls) or just apologize most of the time they don’t leave me alone
I'm going to speak on my behalf here who has haphephobia irl due to my own trauma (which I will not say as it is nobodies business) and also feels sick, gets shaky and sometimes break down from any type of touch in game, irl etc etc. Ever since I joined pony town in 2019, since I played any multiplayer game (I'm 17, I was around 13ish when all this stuff occurred) I would feel sick from the thought of others touching me in game, accident or not. This includes friends. Although I do feel sick, shaky, have breakdowns etc. from people touching me anywhere (like pony town, for example) I will simply have "DNI" in my name and stay in isolated areas such as my party island with two of my friends far away from me, or a place rarely people go to on pt - like places that arent claimed by fandoms etc. I simply do not put touch trigger in my name because people are rude, they will purposely touch you to make you feel the way a trigger would - like panic attacks. Which kind of just makes everyone hate each other because its childish and pathetic. From my POV, if you sit in crowded areas and claim to have a TT, you are lying. This especially goes for people at spawn, above spawn ( English PG AND English 18+ ) and the MCYT area. If you seriously have a trigger so severe, simply do what I do. Sit in an isolated area, sit on PI. I promise you itll be a lot more easier than getting harmed. And I know people may have hyperfixations on pt so no, quitting pony town is not an option for everyone and I'm sick of this being multiple peoples counter arguments. And for regiments, please simply do not join. You know that you get bad from touch so getting mad at someone for lining up is idiotic, you CHOSE to join, so why be hateful and rude towards others? /lh I'm not gonna argue with anyone about this, but this is my opinion as someone who has struggled with haphephobia from a young age and feels panicky, shaky and/or have breakdowns or panic attacks from touch in ANY GAME, not just pt - which I'm not going on a rant explaining to you why, it is a personal reason that I'd like to be respected. Thank you. But I hope this all makes sense, English isnt my first language (I'm Italian) so I probably messed up a lot.
I agree with the regiments, from experience it has caused uncalled stress on other people in the groups and harder to do patrol with tt people throwing hurling threats towards a few people I know.
Okay my opinion: i will respect someones boundrys but this keeps happening... im extremely lonely so i will go up to people in pt and boop them randomly, then i get screamed at when they had no indication they had a touch trigger. I get HARRASSED for booping someone innocently. I booped someone ONE time and they said "please dont touch me" and so i didnt and someone else butted in and said "wtf respect their boundrys" like im supposed to know. I literally cant make a single friend because im always "too close" when sitting opposite them.
I have a touch discomfort, I have a discomfort of touch. I can see how people would be uncomfortable with total strangers touching them in game but the correct term to use would be TD not TT as it’s not a trigger just a discomfort. Me in PT I use TD and allow some acceptions to touch after getting to know them like accesive booping or sitting close to me (right beside me) and sometimes kissing-but like right off the bat that’s a no no for various reasons such as >> I don’t know you , anxiety, it leaves me wondering and confused (causing me to spiral into thought). but I get peoples thoughts on the side “It’s just a game” because they state valid opinions and how it doesn’t make sense , PT 2: I’m completely fine with unintentional touch (EX- walking thru me , flying over me) but intentional touch is different it makes me confused on why you did it (causing me to spiral) and can cause me to think “oh they were pointing at me to point something out to their friend” which can cause a panic attack , I hope this explains why I use TD In my name
Somebody with a tt claimed that they were applying their irl trigger to their character. Personally, I find this a really toxic mindset that invalidates and somewhat mocks people with actual triggers. 😩
I don't bug people with TT/TD, I get it, it's fine. But it does sort of scratch the brain when you realize that ever since it became sort of a popular thing on TikTok, it just suddenly exploded, same with DID/MPD etc. I don't go out of my way to bug them, but I've had maybe 4 encounters now where I brush by people or sit 2 horse lengths by with a friend or going Idle and I'm met with a HUGE explosive rant at how I'm invalidating &/or causing them to have a trigger. It's a little peculiar. I tried looking up shit for this sort of thing, as I wholeheartedly believe and understand people who have TT's in real life due to abuse, but found nothing about these sort of things applying to video games like this. Nada. The exception would be perhaps VRChat, since it's very surreal and like a dreamy reality with people and realistic, 3-d movements surrounding you. But with games, especially like Ponytown? I found nothing, not a single study or source that TT's can occur in small games. Not to mention, why would they go out of their way to sit near people or in a public place with it? Or some place close to a fandom hangout? Then get mad at you for being there? I once again understand TT's for people IRL, but in these sort of things, as in real life, with all semblance of logic, if you are exposing yourself purposefully to something possibly triggering or anxiety inducing, then why are you doing that to yourself? And if you must play, why not go to a private area with friends? It's so peculiar to me
I hope someday people respect TT,TD,i meet a lot of people in docks +18 and spawn talking about that like "drama" or "fake depression" laughing,i hide all but is really sad some people don't understand this.
@@ellyhaerim i actually relate to this situation, i myself hate alcohol and anyone who drinks it, but do i go into a bar and scream at them for nothing? no, i don't because really its their decision, i may not agree with it but i'm really not entitled to scream or shout at them i'll just quietly respect their decision and move on from it kinda the same with tt/td, i don't really care, its whatever, but if you're faking it for attention then you're an ass because all you want is people to give you attention and you want to be the centre of it all when in reality you are an ass for faking it why is everything about attention nowadays? why do people seek validation in the most fucked up ways?
I have TD but Ik when I go to the main inland I’ll be touched by others by accident so i go by fences, but I also do cuddle with friends ( if I have one with me ) for when I’m in a party or on the main inland, but most of the time I don’t so I go by places where not many people are like fences or in a space where there’s not that many people ( if you have a opinion on what I’m saying I’ll gladly read it :D )
I have TD in my name. [Touch Discomfort] Not to mock people, but because I get intense anxiety when people get too close. I am autistic. And I see my character in games as me, as me in that game. And I dislike being touched by people who I don’t know. I will not yell and scream at people. They can walk past or even through me, I dont get upset. What makes me extremely uncomfortable is when people come and sit right next to me, and boop me. I do not experience phantom touch as it is not possible to as explained in the video. I don’t like being touched, and experience video games as imagining myself inside the game. In PT I sit off to the side, and behind trees, with my friend who experiences ‘TT’. They get genuinely panicked, I’ve seen their panic attacks when stuff like that happens. Some people target people with ‘TT or TD’ which hurts. It is not a trigger for me, but a discomfort, as stated at the start - “TD” [Touch Discomfort] Edit: if someone tries to sit next to me or touch me, I usually move or say something along the lines of ‘please stop’. If they don’t, I move, if they follow, I tell them again to stop, and hide them if they continue.
You're just in a game that has booping, and most of the TT are fake because I see most in a crowded area and touching people

tbh, if someone has touch trigger then okay fine. but this is just my opinion:
i don't understand touch triggers in a pixel horse game, i understand if someone can get uncomfortable when a player is too close but some people gotta learn the difference between an actual trigger and discomfort.
when i used to play ponytown more there was nobody with triggers and now ponytown is full of these people who either joke about having TT or who are being serious. it was so hard to play, where ever you go there are people who have TT and then they complain about the people. if someone has actual TT or just discomfort they should sit far away from others and not cry when a place is crowded. i remember when i was playing with a big group of people and we were at that area first, then someone with TT came there and sat with us then they asked us to move..? not everyone knows that some people has tt or td.
so if someone has TT then fine, but just stay away from people.

edit: if you have an actual TT irl, then i understand that even more than the triggers in a pony game
If that player came to you and touched you then got made for being touched, they are in the wrong. It can't be justified and is an example of a player that might be one of the fakers. I can see why you think the way you do if those are the experiences you have had.
I get overwhelmed with irl crowds but in games I'm like "WHERE'S THE CROWD???"

Sound advice
Glad someone made a video about TT on Pony Town. I respect TT/TD, I mean I have a friend with TT and another with KT (Kiss trigger), and if you have TT, heres my advice:
You are spitting facts
"Kiss trigger " and "tt" doesn't exist.stfu
Ive always respected Danny and always will. Now I respect him even more for being a good, neutral person about this.
Danny is one of my idols and I'm glad he brought this up and brought up good and bad things from both sides.
Now I gotta check if I really did sub to him before.
Someone please tell me if I used the wrong pronouns.
Also Danny deserves anything good that happens.
Lol you're good any pronouns are fine to use
@@dannyballsub .o. Thank you for replying!! And thanks for telling me, I hate assuming pronouns lol.
Probably a fake one???
Its really easy to deal with
I’m gonna put my opinion here too:
TT/TD/CD/ETC.
PLEASE if you have tt or td go to a dead server like the chinese or something with your friends or something
(I would also like to note that even though I'm an adult (18), I'm uncomfortable with seggsual/sensitive topics so I always stay in the safe server, I've never even been in the 18+ server.)
I really appreciate your unbiased opinion, and I really hope that the people who genuinely do get triggered by it get better, and that the people just doing it for a trend learn that having a trigger isn't cool at all :)
(btw I don't normally talk with this much perfect grammar, I just thought I'd have better grammar here since it's a pretty long comment)
THIS ^^
I do not have a touch trigger or anything relating to it.
Go to the safe servers.
im really happy ur doing better man
Someone yelled at me for being close to them when their name was so long that I couldn't see the TT in their name. Like seriously? That is not my fault. It pisses me off.
One time I booped someone who had TT without knowing about it and a huge fight started about it
@@DahRealCheeze same, someone called me ugly and told me to move because my pony color palette burn their eyes. Good job, you deserve an award and a 👑 for this!
tt IN PONY TOWN is ridiculous
@TT_awarenezz I'm guessing?
I think I might have seen that account once and scrolled right past it
POV! thats people in my friend group
HI!! Main host of the account here. I stated in my bio that we were gonna document our experiences. We also left a card Regarding our trigger.
We wanted to make sure people with TT don't interact with such people so such situations won't happen again.

not all TT or TD people/ponys are the same you dont have to hide all of them
@@Polaroid67500 No no, hiding is a great option. I'd much prefer to be hidden than someone to accidently tread on me. The only problem with hiding, is well we can't talk or anything.
It's good that you hide them, they can be real mean at times for such a small thing like *asking what a TT is.*
you done the right thing by hiding them, avoiding drama
Same, like if you hate crowd then go to your party island or just go find a less crowd place (Btw I'm not talking about you '^^) ??
I fear the humiliation of having people say bad sht and rumours about you just because you did something they didnt like, it will end really bad and suck so hard when you no longer feel safe with a skin you love
Hosting school rps tend to get hard as well because people get upset whenever someone with TT joins in, I admit that i get annoyed but not because they have TT or claim they do, I get annoyed at the chaos and arguments that will insue.
I try to avoid them. i try to avoid them, avoiding to trigger them. i look at spawn for the farest place away from them. i have gotten death threats, gotten told that they're is gonna do my mom. got called many bad names.. and even seen my friends and people i talked with got the same treatment. i been on ponytown since 2019. and until now i have only seen people with TT or TD in 2021. i only say that if you get triggered over booping, please step away from the game for atleast an day or hour. and then come back.
i personally have a very bad experience with these people. but i still try to please them by staying away. i avoid hiding them if they dont do anything. but i am considering hiding them all just so i can play in peace and not worry so much and not live in fear because i hate getting yelled at... also
i respect your opinions on this and i hope what i talked about makes sense! :D
Yeah same
I'm a very toxic person and I don't know why, but I hate stuff like this because it makes it so hard to know who has it and who doesn't, I just hate the idea of someone doing this for having the "quirky" status, it's the reason why I like making fun of them and bullying them even though it's wrong and it's mean, but It just bugs me to much to not do it.
I really need a explanation- how do ppl have TT in a pixel game?
This is a serious question I'm not hating or wanting to be Rude I really wanna know
Simple to say-- They likely don't.
Traumatizing by being touched in a mobile my little pony game???????
Did you even watch the entire thing brody
@starfire- I mean it is quite the concept
I believe it's mostly trolls, trends or misinformation about triggers
I think the people that really do have a touch "trigger" just have some really big discomfort.
tbh, report either side being assholes
If someone with TT harasses you for brushing by them while walking to a certain location, hide & report, a trigger isn't an excuse for harassment
Same on the other side
I just dont get how ppl with Tt sit in crowded areas for fandoms and expect ppl to avoid them T^T "lemme sit in the middle of spawn or in a fandom area and get angry when people are near me ( as in a horse's length or so ) great video tho, like this would actually help keep things more civil n stuff with tt if more ppl watched it
I personally don't entirely understand TT, I respect it as much as I can though. CD/CT(cover discomfort/trigger) makes more sense to me, I even have it myself. I'll respect TT any time and apologize whenever I accidentally touch them
CD for me just makes me confused on where I am, I want either both my characters eyes showing or my character completely covered, it's not severe and it's only under certain situations like stress or exhaustion and such.
Everybody has to be a victim and find new triggers to use to try and get everyone to bow to. everybody always gotta think they're special and ruin the game for everyone.
i like how respectful your language is
Thanks
no. i dont agree with it at all. its turning something that ruins alot of people's lives into a quirky little trend on a pixel pony game. "touch triggers" can only exist on virtual reality games and im guessing fps games? not sure, im not an expert on the subject but i did certainly have an interesting read about the whole matter on a google document i found. this touch trigger trend really reminds me of the people on tiktok faking mental illness. these people on pony town who have touch triggers and make exceptions for certain people are the actual worst, people with real and genuine haphephobia cannot pick and choose who they can or cannot touch. they cant even physically interact with people they love, such as family, friends and partners, and i imagine its horribly mentally painful to have to live like that. to see people take this and turn it into a cute quirk on a horse game is so utterly and genuinely disrespectful to people who actually have to live like this in the real world. i guarantee you almost all of these people with a touch trigger is fine in real life, just like those fakers on tiktok. people with haphephobia have spoken up on the matter MULTIPLE times on how they find touch triggers disrespectful, which provides genuineness to all of my points. whats more is that the touch trigger community is so fucking toxic, people being called slurs and receiving death threats if they voice their opinion against it. it shouldnt have to be a matter of "just leave the people with touch triggers alone" it should just be "have some common fucking decency and dont turn an actual problem into a cute quirky trend on a pony chatroom game"

i actually used to think TT was stupid and a joke but you actually changed my mind. thank you!
I agree with this full heatedly even though I have a small touch discomfort
Yes I agree it spread suspiciously quick but I think part of that is in the large number of people that saw the TT thing and thought either 1)"I'm gonna pretend to have this to feel special!" or 2)"I'm gonna add this to my name so people leave me along because people are annoying"
Or something similar to those ideas. Essentially only a small portion of people actually seem to have it from what I've experienced in the 18+ english server. But it doesn't make them all fake
A lot of ppl don't understand that
trigger=/=mild discomfort, I once met a guy that said they were triggered by among us jokes and mentioning of Friday night funkin
Lmao
If you have a TT, legit just get off PT. Nobody will take care of you, you have to do it yourself. I have dissociative identity disorder, so my system and I have to be very careful around triggers as to not trigger anybody.
People stay at spawn and claim to have PT TT then expect others not to touch them, even if it's on accident. Honey, that's like saying "I have an alcohol trigger" and entering a bar while expecting people not to drink.
Anyway, I personally think TT people should get off pony town for their own good..
agreed!
JUST PUT DNI IN UR NAME!!! editing to add on: it honestly hurts when i see these ppl who claim to have TT sit in the middle of the fucking road or something and then rage when someone walks past them. its pretty much mocking ppl who actually have it. dissapointing
Thank incredibly much for making this, I just started playing pony town and had no idea this was even a thing. I like booping players And sending them glitter with my hand✨✨✨ I had know idea some would find it offensive. Thank you so much 🙏

XD
came here with a shit load of questions and sir danny fr answered it all 😩😫 i wish i saw this much much earlier
(this bit might get me cancelled /hj)
The reason I assumed it "wasn't entirely real" was because so many people claim to have it.
These days I simply hide players if they are bothering me, but I miss being able to establish a boundary and people simply respecting it.
i think that they’re completely fine unless they purposely sit or stay in crowded areas and then get angry when someone accidentally touches them!!
In my opinion if they are doing that, then crying that they are getting touched, they're probably faking it because no real person with TT or TD will put themselves in situations like that
THANK YOU *SO MUCH* FOR THIS VIDEO-
I myself, don't have TT or TD, and while I do not support it or anything, i will not go around making people feel uncomfortable
I really hope people who fake having TTs stop doing that, and I hope people who do actually have TTs get the help they need :[
also, i'd like to say that the videos i've seen from you are really good, and i really like how you did your research on the topic!! Keep up the good work :D
Thanks glad to hear it!
as a person who has serious touch trigger IRL and in PT
and as a person who dealt with sexual abuse few months later.
im glad this post was made.
because a lot of people don't understand what TT is, and do not believe in them.
People aren't gonna believe TT because it's considered a mock to the touch phobia, you have touch phobia NOT touch trigger
if I see someone with TT or TD in their name I won’t touch them, because they could be actually uncomfortable with someone doing that, but I don’t like to interact with them much because they could be using it in a problematic way
Hey Danny,Thank you for this video!! It helped me alot. I got banned from a regiment for violating TT's Thank you Danny for this information!!!
Glad to help
my perspective as someone who has a TT: i have dealt with past trauma involving touch. i wont get into that cuz it is triggering but i will say is was sexual trauma. anyways, being touched in game reminds me of that past trauma which causes flashbacks and can cause a panic attack if the person wont listen to me when i tell them to stop. i do have a TT irl and have asked all my family and friends to refrain from touching me, as again it causes discomfort and or panic attacks. about the getting help thing, it is not easy to get a therapist or any type of help. what i do when i encounter touch in game is move away, if they follow and continue with touching i will tell them to stop. from there they will either stop or continue. depending on if its a troll or not i will then hide them. hiding ppl doesn't always solve the problem tho and here is why: the thought and idea that that person is still there and is possibly touching me is very uncomfy. the other reason is if it is a troll, hiding them is exactly what they want. fueling their ego can cause them to go on and harass other ppl which is not what id like. a good way to solve both of those issues is to distract myself to forget i hid someone in the first place, and or hide behind a close friend or a void pony and then tab out until the troll gives up. i hope this helped ppl to understand. not everyone is the same and things might be different for others but this is how things are for me
You can just hide them without telling them to stop. They want your attention so of course they will be pleased when you start saying random bs. When you hide somebody, they also cant see you anymore. Who tf would just start spinning around doing nothing? I know it's really hard to get help but there is actually therapy available. wish you luck and for your own good and my sanity, please hide people instantly if they 'trigger' you
I have really bad anxiety and social anxiety and it make me feel horrible that some people Think it’s “cool” Or “Trendy”
11:23 some in a regi of mine doesn't like being booped and kissed. He has said this in vc, very politely too! I respect it, i just forgot about if a couple of times due to my bad memory, but remembered and moved away quickly in that very moment. He even asked me if he could kiss an MV skin i did for him, but when he did he asked ^^ he's such a wonderful dude
as someone with tt, i let friends and family touch me, but i bear through. i still feel off. i still feel violated and sometimes cry.
It's a game, how is this touching them?
IT'S A FUCKING GAME.
Why are people using this? It's a game.
i have a touch discomfort and i absoloutley bless you for making this i hope this video spreads around the pt community
Thank you!
I love boops. I hate kissing tho
@@dannyballsub yeah, I love boops a lot not the more weirder stuff
@@dannyballsub I go entire Pony Town sessions without being booped at all which kind of makes me sad since I love talking to others and making new friends.
I was waiting for this video
I'm sorry but I don't think you can have tt in a 2D game.
Here's why:
You are putting yourself in an ONLINE server with over 100+ people, some more friendly than others.
SO TRUE BESTIE!!
if you have TT and get mad at ppl for booping you in a pixelated virtual pony game literally get a grip its a game
yall the exact definition of chronically online
As someone that has tt I’m comfortable with my friends touching me, irl and in game or when it goes to strangers I don’t like speaking to them it makes me feel uncomfortable same goes to strangers and I can’t tell them it bothers me to touch me because I’m afraid of speaking publicly I like to vent to my friends when it goes to people touching me and asking if they can speak for me. And even in restaurants I can’t speak, I ask for family members to speak for me. And when any member, even like some new family member I see, I get uncomfortable when they speak to me or touch me I get panic attacks, I have someone who comforts me and makes me feel safe but I do need help with this issue
this video was uploaded a while ago and while i don't understand touch /triggers/ in the game, i understand touch /discomforts/. i have one myself, and while it makes me uncomfortable to have someone so close to me or boop me i'm not going to have a panic attack or anxiety attack over it; i can recognise that it's not real.
i feel exactly like this and it sucksss
i dont freak out when people touch me in-game it js makes me uncomfortable even if its not actual physical touch
and all the people who hate on people for being uncomfy with being touched makes me feel guilty and not wanna put anything in my bio about it so people dont start anything or think im one of the people doing it js to be different. i js wanna let people know not to randomly touch me if i dont know them but im scared to even do that atp 😭😭
Late comment!! I havent watched the full video so if these were mentioned sorry
I'm enjoying listening to your opinion.
If people are EXTREMELY bothered by a person who has TT, there's a button called "Hide players for 24 hours/permanent"
Same goes to the other side too, if there's a person going off about it, hide them
We should just have servers for people who are okay with touching and all that junk ; this is getting so mellow dramatic my eyes are rolling into the inside of my skull.
Also I’m pretty comfortable with ponies touching me in Pony Town though ‘v’
(Lmao no one wanted to hear this ;v;)
I have TD (touch discomfort) and people either boop me when I tell them not to I just don’t like it if I’m just vibing but I do get slightly uncomfortable (my TD comes from my arachnophobia and claustrophobia and just being touched in places I don’t like when going through the halls) or just apologize most of the time they don’t leave me alone
The fear of spiders makes you afraid to be touched in game? Are you sure that's part of it? Or did you misspell that phobia?
@@dannyballsub no it’s not when it comes to in game it’s for irl but in game is cause irl Ive been touched in places I don’t like
I'm going to speak on my behalf here who has haphephobia irl due to my own trauma (which I will not say as it is nobodies business) and also feels sick, gets shaky and sometimes break down from any type of touch in game, irl etc etc.
/lh
I'm not gonna argue with anyone about this, but this is my opinion as someone who has struggled with haphephobia from a young age and feels panicky, shaky and/or have breakdowns or panic attacks from touch in ANY GAME, not just pt - which I'm not going on a rant explaining to you why, it is a personal reason that I'd like to be respected.
Thank you for this friend. The knowledge was quite helpful.
That's what I aim for
error sans confirmed havin haphephobia
This
I don't bug people with TT/TD, I get it, it's fine.
Do people need attention this bad? If you get triggered over being touched in a 2d pony game you should probably just go outside for once.
i agree. its like walking into a bar and getting mad at people for drinking.. you're the one who walked into the bar pal.. sheesh people are stupid
@@ellyhaerim i actually relate to this situation, i myself hate alcohol and anyone who drinks it, but do i go into a bar and scream at them for nothing? no, i don't
because really its their decision, i may not agree with it but i'm really not entitled to scream or shout at them
i'll just quietly respect their decision and move on from it
kinda the same with tt/td, i don't really care, its whatever, but if you're faking it for attention then you're an ass because all you want is people to give you attention and you want to be the centre of it all when in reality you are an ass for faking it
why is everything about attention nowadays? why do people seek validation in the most fucked up ways?
I have TD but Ik when I go to the main inland I’ll be touched by others by accident so i go by fences, but I also do cuddle with friends ( if I have one with me ) for when I’m in a party or on the main inland, but most of the time I don’t so I go by places where not many people are like fences or in a space where there’s not that many people ( if you have a opinion on what I’m saying I’ll gladly read it :D )
I have TD in my name. [Touch Discomfort]
Not to mock people, but because I get intense anxiety when people get too close.
It is not a trigger for me, but a discomfort, as stated at the start - “TD” [Touch Discomfort]
Edit: if someone tries to sit next to me or touch me, I usually move or say something along the lines of ‘please stop’. If they don’t, I move, if they follow, I tell them again to stop, and hide them if they continue.
I feel bad for pt and I hope they get better.
