As long as I can remember, I've always wanted to be professionally successful in the arts. To create a magnum opus that I could be proud of, some kind of enduring legacy that would define me. Or at least be financially stable. I still haven't fulfilled that dream yet, but I have a good job unrelated to the arts.
I agree with you. When I come back home from work, I'm usually too tired to create anything. The stressors of life hinder and even suppress my very desire to draw. I hope I can get back to my roots somehow.

Thank you for your video, its honestly helping me reflect on some things. Im an artist and recently i’ve been working 12 hours shifts and its left me feeling exhausted, and moving forward i definitely want to prioritize on the discipline regarding my creative expression. Your advice is extremely helpful. I was in an abusive relationship and had no structure regarding my health and routine and i’ve worked on prioritizing my health but i think prioritizing my biggest passion has to be implemented now. And your advice is very real and very important. ♥️ glad i came across your channel

inayah your thoughts are priceless and im very glad i found your channel. i started making yoga a nightly routine for myself a year ago and now occasionally i will put on one of your videos in the background and go through my practice. not only do you discuss important + relevant subjects, you have unique and nuanced takes on them that really feel heartfelt and thoroughly-processed (qualities which ive found to be somewhat rare on youtube, so i deeply appreciate it when i find it). on top of all that you provide us with wonderful little snippets of life and aesthetic imagery. thank you :)

Ur channel makes me feel so safe and loved. And in this day and age where everybody just lives on the fast lane, of like getting to work coming back and repeating it all over again, you make me stop and wonder and experience the present and just relax and to slow down a bit. Does that make sense lol anyway ty for these vids. Absolutely love them❤

Very helpful, thank you! I have this creative side that has to be expressed and is key to my idea of success. But forever stuck in Survival Mode, which means a deficit of both time and creative energy. Easier said than done, but I agree that the solution is to prioritize and even force it, till it becomes a habit.

I'm taking a hiatus from creative pursuits. After about a decade in the studio It's time to shift gears. I'm very much a put my good where my good does most kinda person. Routine is great, I work on the back side of the entertainment industry doing live event production so routine is not an option. Instead of fighting these 2 different lives I decided to go all in on the one that was opening doors. I hope to someday return to creative pursuits but until it "fits" my life or I can shape my life to fit it, its just not an option. Disciplin only works if your life has stability. It's maslows hierarchy of needs.

all very relatable and on point i'd say. it's nice that there are still people making intelligent and down to earth stream of consciousness type of videos like this without falling into cookie cutter patterns for the algorithm. it's very true, art is always balancing on the edge between intuition and deliberate action, analysis and spontaneity etc. it's all about creating a space where you can catch ideas as they come and solidify them in a medium before they're gone.
so if you don't have the right structures in place to be able to act on those ideas in a timely manner, they're gonna get away from you and no one else will get to see them. on the other hand, being too rigid and trying to micromanage every minute of your day makes it so your ideas become formulaic and stale as well. you need time to just exist outside in the world, so those abstractions can start to form inside your mind, and so you have something that ideas can start to emerge from.
then there are practical considerations as well of course. humans do not exist in an isolated bubble, we all have responsibilities and obligations that disrupt the flow of thought we may be having, so learning to deal with that is also just as much a necessary skill. it's a lot to consider, but i wouldn't want it any other way i don't think. art is the ultimate form of human self expression, i value it above all else, so i'm willing to do a lot to make sure it retains a certain quality standard and attention within our society

I can’t agree more with everyone 😭🥹 I love who she is so much/the way she is helping. She has really inspired me in different ways already. I just found her on my homepage with a video on confidence and everything she said I could finally relate to or just felt like there was someone else out there that actually understood. And the way she explained the steps she took to become more of truly who she was, honestly is helping me so much with my own battles. Only found her last night, but I’ve watched a couple of her videos now, this one being 3rd probably, and OMG! It just all keeps getting better.

boil a bit of water and pour it into the candle holder. wait like a minute or two to let wax soften. then pick it out with a stick/knife/other end of spoon.

10:02 💡 Routine and structure in life can enhance creativity by providing a framework for ideas to come to fruition.
12:59 🔄 Balancing discipline and creativity is crucial for artistic success, as they complement each other in the creative process.
14:10 🌅 Implementing morning routines like exercise, journaling, and healthy habits can enhance creativity by creating space and time for ideas to develop.
17:37 💡 Unexpected aspects of life, such as diet and self-care, can influence creativity and should be integrated into routines to support artistic endeavors.
19:41 📅 Scheduling time for both structured thinking and spontaneous inspiration can help in balancing productivity and creativity in a busy life.

What does it mean that the wisdom of this message kinda hurts?
On the one hand, I'm happy to see someone figuring it out, someone concerned with integration and internal coherence; with the skills to communicate their experience so clearly; someone gripping the wheel of their life and turning it toward a better future.
On the other hand it feels like I've been trying for so long, in so many ways, to do similar and never seem to find a sustainable heading or stable footing.
In any case I'm thankful for the reminder of things I hide from constantly: stress smothers creativity--discipline provides the necessary rigidity to build a stable life (no castle is built on a foundation of shifty sand)--and that journaling is extremely powerful.
Perhaps, at least, it's time I dust off my journal.

For the Candles that are Finished, you can put them into the freezer IN the container/candle holder! And then it will pop right out with a little nudge. Much easier than scraping xD

hi, for your candles I'd recommend putting boiling water in it, it makes the wax float so that you can take it off easily without making a mess by scraping, you can also collect them and melt them to create a new candle :)

@@inayah0 you can also put the whole thing in the oven if it's metal, ceramic or glass, 5-10 min 2-300 degrees (recommend covering a dish in aluminum foil and setting the candle holders upside down-ish on it)

New subscriber here, I came to this video after watching your video on jealousy. I was a bit iffy with the title, but I get it was probably for attention-grabbing, and it was definitely more like "creativity AND discipline" bridging the two together as explained in the video lol Anyways, love your content. Now i'm inspired to shift my own art projects and video content so it feels more inviting and not contentious...

I always felt like a never had enough time for my art, but I’m just not making time, and when I would have time I’d be burnt out and not inspired and this video really helped me realize how exactly how I can make time and help myself get inspired!
