This looks familiar! 🤣 I’m starting to get serious about ridding my property of some of this and stumbled across your video. Good stuff!

What does the plant growth look like after removing those trees? Does it open up just enough sunlight for poison ivy or do you typically see trees/grass grow up?

So far I am in about one year after initial cut stump. Our property is/was so heavy with autumn olive that removing it has let in a ton of daylight. I still have to manage re-sprouting autumn olive with foliar application from previous seed bank in the soil and any missed treatments, but seeing new native woody browse coming up. I expect to see significant growth this season hopefully. A neighboring location where I did some hinge cutting came up with woody browse and grasses…. The cut stump area is south facing and I expect to see similar this spring/summer.

Great video - what do you do with the branches you cut down?

Thanks for watching and feedback/comment. Some branches I made into brush piles to promote rabbit and bird habitat by piling on top of larger structure like downed trees/logs… I also positioned some to form structure or back/side cover to promote doe or buck bedding where I wanted it. The rest I let lay where it fell. Note I will have to come back in the spring and hit re-sprouts of any I missed with a foliar application.

@@PassionfortheWildandWonderful great! Thanks so much. Do you know if those branches ever sprout new into the ground? Or once they’re dead they can’t grow again?

@@Fred-yx7fv without the root system they’re dead. But as I mentioned, I will be foliar spraying re-sprouts from stumps I missed or didn’t get a complete kill on in the spring and/or new growth

Good video. Where did you find the glyphosate tube/sponge applicator? I Googled it and I’m not finding it. Thanks in advance!

Do you dilute the chemical before adding it to the dabber?
