What's in it? Where's the label? I won't question the efficacy or reliability of the claims. But I despise the trend in the aquarium hobby of hiding the ingredients list. I come from agricultural science, where we have label laws, certification requirements, and MSDS. I don't expect that level of transparency here. We don't need ratios or percentages. However, I do expect to know what the primary active ingredient is and I expect to know every other additional compound in the liquid. You website only lists two ingredients. "Secret" isn't gona cut it. And for context, many of us have given this feedback to just about every other dip, treatment, and bacterial product creator on the market. Want us to trust your product? Tell us what's in it. And because so few manufacturers chosen to do that, I personally hope they regulate the hell out of this market. For example, your advocating we use gloves. Why? What happens if it splashes in my eye? Is it only the Hydrogen peroxide which is prompting that level of caution? Or is there another compound. Is it safe to wash my eyes with water? or will that make the reaction worse? If I have to contact poison control, I can't tell them what's in it... I can't fill in the blanks, because it's a "secret". It's not helpful nor responsible.
"Trust me bro" is usually the best you can get. In worst cases its something like Vibrant. Promoted as bacterial solution against Algae, but in reality an algicide that will also kill clamps
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience. We understand that different industries have different regulations, and we also understand the importance of knowing what's in a product - especially when you're using it in such a sensitive environment as a reef tank with so much invested into it. We are working on protecting our formula and then we can share it, but for now we will continue to let people know that it's made primarily out of hydrogen peroxide and limonene. We have tested this product out on our on corals and our own tanks for almost a year now and have only had positive results. And we made sure to do extensive testing before releasing it to the public. We've also sold it to many customers, both locally, across the US, and even internationally and have had 99% positive feedback. The only times people have had any negative experiences are when they don't follow directions/misuse the product. We do have an MSDS that is available upon request. The pH of the solution is 4.92, which is a bit acidic. It's a Category 2 Skin and Eye Irritant, which means it will produce reversible damage to the skin following application for up to 4 hours, and it will irritate the eyes. If it gets in your eyes you can rinse cautiously with water for several minutes, remove contact lenses if present and easy to do, and continue rinsing. Although we value transparency, we also want to protect ourselves from copycats and poaching. So for now we've shared what we can, and if you aren't comfortable with using our product with the provided information we totally understand. We know if you do give the product a chance you'll love it, just as we and hundreds of our customers also love it. Thanks for watching our video and spending the time to write this comment. We can tell that you are passionate about transparency and safety and we commend you for sharing your thoughts.
I’ve used this stuff on a friends new, used system. The rocks were matted with gha like sod. A couple dips later all that is gone and he is now cycling the aquarium, and even better I can absolutely still see some good biodiversity coming from those rocks… so It took care of the issue without nuking the rocks. I also know Professor polyp in real life, super knowledgeable guy.
That’s interesting that there’s still a lot of bio diversity in your system, given that the pests that this product is advertised to eliminate are in the same families of creatures we’d see on our rocks. What creatures do you still see living on the rocks? Just out of interest, I’m not trying to shit on a product. You could be talking about corals. But if you dipped all the rocks and snails, worms, echinoderms are still alive, I’d question the efficacy of this product to eliminate bristle worms, asterinas and pyramid snails.
@@insanity4224 there’s Copeopods and coraline still showing bright pink colors. I’ve seen spaghetti worms in that tank too! My only point was the green hair algae is now gone. I’m sure it really hurt everything that was in the solution, but there are survivors in my case, likely given the volume of live rocks dipped at once
@@CoralReefkidit’s possible that when dealing with large rocks there will always be cavities for critters to hide and not be so affected by a dip. Coral frags have less holes. Corals on live rock with pests might benefit from this product being syringed into the cavities prior to dipping.
It will not kill vermatids at the recommended dose with corals on the rock. But if you have rocks with no corals and vermatids you can do a stronger dose or longer time and it will kill them
Yes it is totally safe with all corals and anemones. We have a lot of Instagram reels showing how it works with corals attached. We'll have to post them as TH-cam shorts. But for now you can go see them on Instagram @coralscoral. I've dipped partial and entire tanks and never had any problems with ammonia spiking or a bacterial bloom, so it doesn't seem to make a significant difference in bacteria populations.
Interesting product. You claim it kills a lot of pests, I would like to see this tested. Also, the example in this video could in fact be achieved using hydrogen peroxide at the same dosage, so I’d assume that the peroxide would be cheaper. However, I can see the value in this product if you are trying to remove pests that are difficult to remove from the rocks. With or without algae. As long as the product is cheap enough to use in large volumes.
We have a lot of Instagram reels showing the dip working on euphyllia eating flatworms, planaria, bristleworms, asterina stars, different types of algae, and other pests all with coral on the rock as well. We'll have to post them on shorts but for now you can find them on Instagram @coralscoral. The solution we made is more gentle on corals than peroxide on its own and more effective on pests. We used peroxide for years with good results, and with this new solution the corals are even happier during and after the dip.
If your product is almost perfect for the intended use, you should go for a strong patented and then to reveal it content. That way, it will be reliable in terms of safe use and reactions to our aquarium inhabitants. Good luck.
Working on it 😄 it's a lot easier to get local stores to stock a new product, especially that their customers ask for, than to convince the biggest names in the hobby that it will be profitable for them to stock the product. It all starts at the local level and goes up from there. With that being said, this weekend we were at Reefstock with one of the wholesalers who carry this product and we talked to customers, local stores, other wholesalers, and large online retailers about this dip and why it's different/better than other dips already on the market. We made good progress with getting the word out and building these connections and relationships and hope to see fruits of our efforts quickly. But nothing motivates companies more than their customers asking for a product, because then they know for sure they will be able to make money, instead of just buying product and hoping they make money. And that will make them move a lot faster. Thanks for watching and commenting! We hope you give this dip a shot.
BRS is massive, I’ll have to hit up my sales rep at BRS and send him a sample so Professor Polyp doesn’t have to worry about it. If we let Professor Polyp send out a sample to Ryan directly, Ryan will want to buy the company. Then the dip will be the best coral dip and be BRS recommended
You serious? So you’re asking a dude to suddenly be able to make enough for BRS to sell without proving it on the local scene first? That’s not how a new business works. You need to be able to prove to BRS that there is in fact a market and demand for the product, then show that you can scale up production to meet growing demands. If he goes straight to BRS and it doesn’t sell he could be left with the infrastructure, ingredients and packaging that he’s purchased that is no longer of any use. Start local and move your way up, aka ‘run before you jump’.
@@insanity4224 that’s exactly my point. For anyone to have confidence in a product you should know to at least have some ingredients listed on the label. Id trust the product a bit more if brs investigated and proofed the product. We all know about vibrant. Reefers shouldn’t use anything that they can test for. Let’s start with more transparency rather using people to promote a product. If I were a betting man I’d bet there’s potassium chloride in there or maybe not lol.

ask for the MSDS, its no secret, its Peroxide and Lemonene

Hi is it available in the UK?
Just curious, why wouldn’t you remove algae from the rock after the dip before putting it back in the tank?
Most likely to show how effective this magic is. It works really well
You can if you want to, but you don't have to. For this video we were wanting to show it coming off with the smallest intervention possible.

Woah. Looking dapper, my man!
Thank you!
I've used it on hundreds of frags, and it is one of the safer dips out there. I do double strength most times. Pretty safe on SPS.
Thanks for your comment, glad you're enjoying the dip!
Taking structures out of the tank is not an option for some, can your product be dosed directly to the display tank?

Ok cool I don’t have instagram so haven’t seen that. Would love to see the Shorts posted here so people like me can’t criticise 😅
We've just started using TH-cam more and have done a lot on Insta so we are still figuring out how to best utilize this platform
We need a full review video on your 4K Sphere lights please 😊
That is one we have been wanting to do too, we will try to get to it soon!

Will it kill colonial hydroids?
I just dipped some rocks with SPS. Hopefully the dip works against my caulerpa like algae! 🤞
Please tell us how it went
Well so far the sps survived. But so did the gha I'm dealing with 😢
Love this dip!

I wanna sub but you guys don’t post enough
