    I wanted to thank you first of all for making such videos it is really helpful .
    I am confused whether to add my master tution fee in advertising cost or further training in wundertax. Any suggestion would be helpful as I am working now. wanted to confirm if I am submitting 2021 tax then only tution fee for that year needs to be mentioned similarly i will break my tution fee for all the years.

      Glad you liked the video.
      First thing first, you can only add expenses for each specific year only in that years Tax Return. So if you were a student in 2021, you should select yourself as a student (this is the first question in wundertax), then you would have totally different options. If however you started your job in 2021 then you should select yourself as an employee and add those study expenses in Further training section.

      @@ahsanfinance So, I started master in 2021 that year I was student. Then 2022 I started working full time while completing master. So, if I understand correctly in 2022 i can add it as further training section, but for 2021 can you suggest what it should be ? and thank you again for quick help on clarifying this

      In wundertax when you scroll to the bottom you get many options, select student and proceed for 2021. It will give you all the options for your studies. For 2022 you can select Employee

    In 2019, I was a student. I am unable to see in Wundertax, where exactly should I add my semester and tuition fees. Can you share some information on it? Thanks

      You have to select the student in the first option before you proceed with anything

    for investment properties, is there a limit for how much real estate-related costs you can deduct in a year? or could it in theory result in a negative taxable income for the year, if you had a lot?

    • @ahsanfinance

      Not all costs can be 100% deductable within a single year. Those must be deducted over several years. That way I think you would always be in positive. But theoretically yes there can be negative taxable income for a rental property

    I have a new apartment with a separate room for home office. I brought all the furnishings by myself, can I claim ? Can I also claim for groceries/furnitures? When is the best time of the year to submit a claim?

    • @ahsanfinance

      One can claim almost everything needed for the home office which is essential for work. Unnecessary claims might get rejected or at least objections would be made and would need to be responded to the objection if the claims are to be considered.
      Regarding the best time, if you are a mandatory filer, you need to adhere to the submission deadline otherwise you can submit up to 4 years later.

    Ahsan bhai can we claim our dental insurance fee while filing for tax return? Because we can claim liability insurance fee as well so I thought maybe we can claim dental insurance as well?

    • @ahsanfinance

    Can we deduct examination fee paid by working employees for additional courses like ACCA or CISA ?

    • @ahsanfinance

      If the course helps you proceed in your profession then yes you can claim the costs. If it is an expensive course, please consult a tax consultant beforehand.

    Once we start tax return we need to do it every year mandatory

    • @ahsanfinance

      Submitting a tax return once doesn't make it mandatory for you. There are other factors like your tax class and getting payment replacement benefits that make you obliged to submit one.

    This home office room is hilarious, so me who affords less rent of apartment and HAVE to work from my bedroom am not entitled to more help... quite a bit contradictory no...

    • @ahsanfinance

      It can seem contradictory but The purpose of considering a home office room deduction is to opt for a larger and potentially pricier apartment that provides a designated office space for your business. By having a dedicated office area, you can take advantage of the deduction. However, if you already have an apartment without a separate office room, there won't be any extra expenses since you're using the apartment for personal purposes regardless. Ps. I am not defending the Finanzamt, just trying to convey a possible reason for such a rule 😂 Don't want to be put into the finanzamt fan club
