    Hi Guys
Fair evaluation of the Bikes...I purchased my Himalayan in January 2018 here in Scotland
Its an excellent entry level Adventure bike.
    off Road Riding:
you correctly commented on the heavy clutch lever, the clutch on the latest model has been revised and if you are clever and gentle, it will tolerate clutches gear changes.. remember only on closed throttle, this can be helpful off road.
    cheers...keep the videos coming.

Thank you for a very friendly and informative evaluation of the Himalayan. You were not shy about mentioning the problems and showed that Royal Enfield quickly acknowledged the problems and rectified them. Additionally, you showed me the latest version, now efi and with abs, is an improved motorcycle with more accessories. I currently ride a 1970 350 Bullet and a more modern 2015 Classic but am seriously considering the Himalayan. Many thanks for your information. Best wishes, Martin

Your comparison highlights the improvements made by RE for the Himalayan BS4. Great review, very helpful! This addresses a lot of my concerns for the Himalayan. Now I know it was from the BS3 (Gen1) and not the newer BS4. Thumbs up! This makes me want to buy the RE Himalayan :-)

Justvish, I bought Himalayan BS3 in Feb 2017, since then this bike is giving problems like anything. Oil leakage, vibrations (sometimes) hard clutch, handle bar gets tighten up automatically and gets rigid. In just an year, front seat lost its cushion and almost 40% parts have been replaced by RE after i put so many efforts in complaints but still the performance is not up to the mark. I am a city rider (mostly 50 Km per day) and 2-3 tours to Himalayas.
May I know your views over the quality of the parts and bike which has been introduced here in India. I am sure, it is not possible that every second person is talking Negative about Himalayan but you have positive reviews, so shall I consider that you are the Lucky one. ;)

It's one video review after another of the Himalayan since I've put this model on my short list. And you guys have done a very fine job with this one. One unaddressed question comes to mind: is there a difference in the Himalayan model made for the North American market and what they make for, let's say, Europe or Australia?

touring with peace of mind is related to reliability of bikes. Himalayan is badly flopped there. after seeing so many negative videos , i don't think any new riders can tour with Himalayan without thinking about the issues.
Those who are pro and good with mechanics , they can handle the situation but for noobs like us , who just knows the basic stuff of bike and want to tour, it is not our cup of tea.finally i want to say, i love to tour to see new places, not RE service centres.
BTW appreciate your effort for this video. Keep it up.

Atul bro if you are looking to buy a new bike (last) then I recommend not to go with Royal Enfield bikes and I will tell you why, I have a Himalayan (Feb 2017 model) which I rode about 14K km till now but trust me this is not at all a reliable bike. It will ask you to visit RE service centre every alternate week for one or the other problems. TB 500 is still a better buy over Himalayan, however Oil leakage, vibrations and front shockers problem will always be there.
If you really want to buy a Bike which comes with quality then go for KTM, but as you mentioned about the roads of your place then wait for a while and go for either X-pulse of Hero or KTM adventure.
All the best and happy riding. RE is not the one which I suggest to anyone. for more info, kindly refer the unsatisfied customers review over Twitter (almost every day a new complaint arise) between, RE's post sales service is Pathetic so please think twice before you go for Royal Enfield's bike

Thanks for the review/video,this is one of many i have have seen, have tested the Himalayan twice now and love it, i`ve ordered a new one and it should be ready for me on the 25th March19, from "in 2 moto" Warrington Cheshire UK. im going to give it an Indian girls/womans name Padma which i think means faithful/reliable, i`ve taken the idea from youtube video`s "itchy boots", a Dutch girl Noraly who has called her RE Himalayan "Basanti".

Nice video. Nice bike. I own one, got delivery in September. Two drawbacks for offroading - should have had more torque in low gears, should have been less weight. The problem is when you are going through rutty areas, the bike gets disbalanced, the weight is too much to control and it falls. But surely a huge step forward from what we used to get in India.

Hey guys! I rode the Himalayan to Spiti Valley in July, 2017. What saddens me is the fact most stupidhead, wannabe riders compare it with the Versys or the Tiger, which costs 4 times of the Himalayan, minus the accessories on them. Although very basic, Himalayan is probably the only purpose built off roader available in India today. We do have Benelli and BMW coming in 2018, but I am really concerned about the maintenance costs of these newcomers.
As for the review, very neat and sure, kudos to that. I am particularly proud of the fact that you folks are from Odisha! Good job guys! Let this be the stepping stone to even better things to come your way.

In normal traffic heat temperature goes up to 48 ℃..which is absolutely unbearable and gives the feeling that your leg's inner side near knees is burning severely.. Showroom guy suggested me to install plane plates near engine to avoid heat reaching your leg's but I don't think it will work. As per off roading is considered there is no match for this bike in indian market.
REMEMBER : HEATING IN HIMALAYAN IS SEVERE AND IT CAN MAKE YOUR RIDE IN CITY TRAFFIC A HELL...

justvish I am in love with her since I saw her first time.I just want to say one thing, People create a mockery out of nowhere. Those who wrote any negative thoughts about this bike, Do they really own one ?? I can guarantee "No". They Don't. I know the previous version has some issues,But this one BSIV, nothing no problem I got. People don't understand How many affordable adventure tourer are there till now before Himalayan. People think with 2 lacs, they would expect the bike to behave like Tiger, Multistrada etc. This One is built for purpose. You can tour with this one. It can do light off-roading. I know riders of BSIV who completed 17,000 kms with not a single issues. This Bike wants your attention. If you really take good care of her then she would behave properly with you. Those who got no knowledge of this Bike. My advice please stay away.

Well this might sound weird. But being an Odisha guy and an youtuber myself(not my original id) i would say it would be better if you stick to a specific theme to which people can know your channel to be of. Like i guess u do vlogging mostly which has more tilt onto food, travel and motorcycles. But now this video was a review video which i feel might make the audience feel disconnected with the channel. Just a suggestion. Decision should be yours. I hope for the best for Just Vish😊

thanks man... i know you hope best for me... my theme is adventure... and you mentioned motorcycles... and we did a adventure motorcycle review of sorts.. so it shouldnt disconnect... anyways.. thanks for watching

This video is the proof that Himalayan is the worst bike in terms of build quality.
The first guy realized after 2 years that RE is making fool out of him. After replacing almost all the parts his bike is leaking and offers poor ride quality what the rider himself agreed at last.
On the other hand the second guy will realize how RE is making fool out of him after some time. RE Himalayan or any RE bikes are not at all reliable. BS3 version of Himalayan has shown how purposely they have built to fail each and every parts and if this is the attitude towards their newly launched off roader then please be aware of RE's manufacturing capabilities. The BS4 sleet will also have the same fate. Wait for 6 months....It will also prove the same. Morning shows the day....

There is a Impulse in background throughout the video sadly you didn't compare it with both these bikes which is quite justified owing to the title of the video, but being a proud owner of Impulse for last 6 years I must say it still gives Himalayan run for its money be is on off road of city driving yeah big engine helps Himalayan on highway but Impulse has the reliability which I'm sure is still something which needs to be seen on Himalayan in coming days...
Anyways awesome video keep the good work cheers...
