I just bought the xs8 for my pc set up and for it's size it's a little beast! It's heavy for an 8 inch sub!! This 15 sure looks like it's a beast. I recently bought a pb 3000 and it sure is a beast for it's size, definitely shakes my room when I watch movies!!! Great review!!!
Thanks for watching! We definitely think you're going to be happy with it, all of the XS line uses the same materials and everything so it should be a very similar experience.
Great review!!! You just got a new subscriber. Cant believe I never saw you guys before. This sub went on sale for $899. I had to buy from your review it looks like I made the right choice I cant wait for it to get here!!!!!
I have a pretty small Home Theater 5.2.6 and I've always used a Yamaha bookshelf speaker for my Center Channel and I never had to replace it? it sounds amazing..
I'm pretty sure the rattling noise of the decorations was caused by the sub's port being in the rear. I wouldn't say it's a good placement for a port to be on the back of a subwoofer, as it makes a good amount of bass travel into a wall, then bouncing off the ceiling, shaking and rattling everything in its way. But that's my experience... and I have tried a lot of placement options, giving plenty of room behind, not being too much in a corner... The cleanest bass I ever got was from the ports always facing forward, so any sub with a port in the back is going to be hard to consider..
Thanks for watching! We tried to take the woofer out, but after taking the screws out, the woofer wouldn't budge, and since the box and woofer are so heavy, we didn't want to risk damaging it.
Hi thanks for all the information. I live in the Caribbean and cannot demo speakers or subwoofer so i depend on reviews. Would like your opinion between the new xs15 vs the rs13 / rs 11. I know the rs series are discontinued but could get one used. Which one is a better performer. Hometheather 75% 25% music
It’s to bad theRS line got disconnected. I feel it’s build quality was a little bit higher than the current models. I think the RS line got to expensive to produce
Are you still using the IOTAVX Processor? And how do you think it stacks up to the Onkyo RZ50 or the entry level Anthem? Do you think that there is an audible or visual difference to warrant an upgrade? Thanks in advance for your input 👍
Hey K Man thanks for watching! We haven't tested either of those units so we're not sure how they compare. But we are still using the IOTA and we're still absolutely impressed with its sound quality/performance given the price (especially with the new price of $1,699).
So like we were talking my XS15 is arriving today!!!! So excited do you know if the XLR input is wired European style with pins 2 and 3 being reversed from American standards like their amplifiers are? I want to use the balanced input but I would need to switch the subs phase if this is the case I looked at the manual but they don't cover it
Thanks again!! Not sure on this one. We would assume they do not reverse the polarity of the XLR connector since you can just change the phase by 180 degrees, but this would probably be a good question for Emotiva support.
Thanks for watching! For movies the XS15 wins, in fact I like it so much I purchased a second one. For music I would say the SB3000 has a slight advantage because of it being sealed, but the XS15 is no slouch either. Hope this helps.
I think this might be best bang for your buck…Would like to see a comparison to the monolith in the same price range..But the rear port might be an issue ..
Picked up 2 of these after watching this review, and WOW, definitely shakes the house and the sound is excellent. Great review, thank you.
Yeah, I actually purchased another one when they went on sale, awesome subs for the money. Thanks for watching!

EMOTIVA FOR THE DUB!! Always the best bang for the buck!!

Just bought XS12 - do not work. Service said malfunction torroidal trafo. @@TwoGuyzTech
Thanks for the great review! I just ordered the XS12 on their sale. Hopefully it has the same great quality and performance as the 15.

@@TwoGuyzTechfor 900 that's a LOTTA sub for your dollar
Emotiva makes some nice looking speakers and subwoofers!
Yes they do! Thanks for watching Matt!

Yeah you definitely need room for the sub to breath. Thanks for watching!
Great job and I’m surprised you didn’t take the wolf her out like you always do next time .😎👍 but I return my last week!

@@TwoGuyzTech it’s ok I did it and it looks the same as RS11 but bigger

Do you think this sub will out perform the svs pb 3000
Are they ever going to make anymore "RS" subs?
Thanks for watching! We're not sure, but it seems to us that they may be planning to replace the RS line with this newer XS line.

Make a video about Emotiva BasX MC1 13.2, i can't find a lot of content about it or reviews. This is a hello from Brazil!

THANKS GREAR REVIEW HOW LARGE IS YOUR ROOM?
Thanks for watching!! Our room is 16ft x 21ft. Sub performs great. Hope this helps :)
Any thoughts on advantage or disadvantage of a rear port or does it matter?
the size of it maybe
Other than output being greater than the sb3000, which would you choose the xs15 or sb3000 or something else in this price range.

@@TwoGuyzTech it definitely does help. Thanks for the response.
Do you think 4 of these would be an upgrade from my 2 svs pc2000 or my 2 svs pc13 ultras
Ehhhhh i think output wise you might be right just due to cone area…But if you want accurate bass i think those SVS subs are fine
I think this might be best bang for your buck…Would like to see a comparison to the monolith in the same price range..But the rear port might be an issue ..
I am waiting for there new home theater receiver plus I can’t wait for to review it
Thanks for watching!! We'll do our best to get our hands on one!
@@TwoGuyzTech thanks
Comparing with tiny sealed SB3000 for just price! At least should compare with PB2000 Pro.
