Official Technical Tutorial.
▶️ Removal Process.
- Remove front brake line bracket (only for left side fork)
- Remove brake line bracket screws
- Remove bracket
- Remove front brake caliper (only for left side fork)
- Remove caliper bolts
- Remove front wheel
- Loosen fork clamp bolts on the left fork
- Loosen wheel axle lock nut
- Loosen fork clamp bolts on the right fork
- Push the axle lock nut inside
- Remove axle lock nut
- Lift the front of the bike to support the rear wheel on the floor
- Hold the wheel and remove the axle
- Slide the wheel out between the forks
- Loosen the triple clamp fork bolts
- Hold the fork while loosening the last bolt
- Slide the fork downward
▶️ Assembly Process.
- Slide the fork upward inside the triple clamp
- Align the height and orientation of the fork
- Hold the fork and tighten clamp bolts
- Ensure the fork holds in place before releasing it
- Tighten triple clamp bolts to value engraved on the part
- Install front wheel
- Slide the wheel between the forks
- Wiggle the wheel and fork whilst pushing the axle inside
- Gently bring down the front of the bike
- Tighten axle lock nut
- Tighten right fork clamp bolts
- Install front brake caliper (only for left side fork)
- Slide the brake caliper onto the brake disc
- Tighten caliper bolts
- Tighten bolts to 25 Nm
- Tighten axle lock nut to 35 Nm
- Loosen right fork clamp bolts
- Spin the wheel a few times and squeeze the brake
- Tighten all fork clamp bolts to 15 Nm
- Install front brake line bracket (only for left side fork)
- Install the bracket with the brake line inside
- Ensure correct alignment to avoid crushing the brake line
- Tighten brake line bracket screws
- Check brake operation before operating the bike
