You’re the perfect person to help me convince my wife to retire in Mexico! She’s Mexican, but she’s never actually been to Mexico, and I’ve been trying to persuade her ever since I spent an amazing week in El Derramadero, Uriangato, Guanajuato. She wasn’t open to the idea-until she got hooked on your videos! If possible, could you give a special shout-out to Margie from Kansas City? It would mean the world to us.
I am addicted to your videos. I wish I had raised my family in a place like where you are. It is so sweet and refreshing to see a loving Christian family living a simple life free of chaos. Like the old days when kids ran free all over the neighborhood and mothers made their own food from scratch. Love it. ❤️
He must be so proud to have his wife so incredibly involved and interested in his family’s history!!! Much love from Michigan. New subscriber. I live in Sterling Heights.

Your husband is very smart with the water system, my husband also made a sprinkler system in Mexico in his land it waters the avocados 🥑 trees without using electricity and a pump it’s all gravity.
The old house is a magical place. Make it your Photography Studio. Use the old exterior walls, interior walls, old doors, old windows, old props, etc… as your backdrop. Start with each family descendant of Lalo’s Great-Grandfather. Honor La Familia.
It’s beautiful, this house could be turned into a museum with all the original things it has inside n outside I would visit for sure! It’s in very good shape! 😊
I LOVE your channel. I’m 47 and have plans to retire early to Mexico. I have dual citizenship so it will be a breeze for me 😍 I also love to cook so I love making your recipes!! Also…do you have a video where you make those light colored beans…I’m a beans fanatic and need to make them!! Side note: it’s SOOOOOO refreshing to see a young woman making content that doesn’t include showing their ass every chance they get. Your content is wholesome and truly about your families way of life in Mexico.
I just found your channel last night and have enjoyed you sharing a part of your life in Mexico so much. My father and his ancestors are born and raised near Mexico City and Queretaro. I was born in San Diego. I miss the Mexican culture so much. 😊
I just found your channel and subscribed immediately.you and your family are so beautiful.i am from the us and live in Mexico and love it too. Thanks so much for sharing.Continuer happiness to all.
It is beautiful where you live. No wonder you are so happy there. The old house is full of history. I am no expert but I bet you could keep most of it, you can tell the walls are sturdy, no cracks or peeling. Hope you never tear it down. God bless you and your family.
How fun living in your Rancho. What a blessing for your kids. I have been binge watching your videos and I can see the difference from the time you were by yourself with the kids to know when your husband has arrived from the states. he’s such a hard worker and you can tell the love he demonstrates for his Rancho by his dedicated work to his family, his Rancho and his children. God bless all of you.
That round thing that you showed and said it was for grinding... it's called a grist wheel in English. It was used in gristmills for grinding grains and corn. My grandfather had one that was from his grandfather's gristmill. It's cool that you have it! I'm an American "ex-pat" living in Australia with my Aussie husband. I saw another one of your videos where you said it was the hardest decision to leave the US and come to Mexico but it felt right. It's been the same for me. Even though English is spoken here in Australia, it's very much different and difficult to get anything America. You are doing a better job of acclimating to your new home than I am, but I am also much older than you! I think it would have been easier for me if I was younger. Still, we have a great life here in Australia!
I loved hearing about how the Rancho came about and how you’ve added your spark to it. There’s nothing like keeping your history and being proud of how you grew up. I grew up poor. My daddy worked so hard as a farm hand to get 6 children fed. We had a brick house. Which we almost lost because no one wanted to pay the taxes. We could not afford to at the time. I remember crying I thought we would lose it. Finally my nephew came up with the money and is now the owner. I’m so glad it stayed in the family. It is a very well made little house. Can you believe my dad bought it for three thousand 😮 it’s worth 85 thousand now. In a little dusty town in Texas ☺️I felt like I was there with guys and just talking ☺️❤️
I recently came across your channel, and I love it so much! Thank you for sharing beautiful Jalisco with us! Your town looks just like the little town my dad is from! 💚🤍❤️
@@touchoflighthomesteadmexico YES! I grew up visiting and recently got to take my husband for the first time this past June. He is from a village about an hour from Aguascalientes.
I've lived in an abobe house my entire life. You can definitely add on to the house. We added a room when it was needed. It would be wonderful if you guys would live in that house. Especially for your kids to know the history and to be able to live in that beautiful place.
I just started watching your channel. I think this is the 3rd or 4th video I have watched consecutively. This is so interesting. What a beautiful way to live. No excessive capitalism and a happy, peaceful life.
