Awww…merci beaucoup, Amandine. We’re not perfect, but Singapore do try to be as good as she can be. And, people such as you, enrich and add to the multicultural kaleidoscope that Singapore is. 🥰🥰
Everything has its good and bad aspects; what matters is choosing a place where you value the good more than the bad. I really appreciate the good in Singapore, and I'm happy that I got the opportunity to live here and meet nice people! Thank you so much for your kind words!
Hi Amandine, au top la video, très intéressante. I’m also French and my girlfriend Singaporean, I hope I’ll be able to join her and move there for good soon. From my few trips there already I pretty much agree with all your points
90% of the businesses are small and medium enterprises. That means the shops and stores around your neighborhood. That is how you find shops are all conveniently nearby your living quarter.
I don't think we're that clean. It's a problem now cos the cleanliness is due to all the cleaners and cos of a small amount of inconsiderate people (which amount to a lot), if there are no cleaners, we're in trouble. We definitely need harsher laws.
Yes, definitely it's thanks to the cleaners! I feel people became complacent as it has been repeated too many time that "it's clean, it's clean" so people started making efforts cleaning after them thinking it would be cleaned anyway 🤷♀️
Probably if you switch your kids to local school and you can receive the healthcare benefits of PR - but life doesn't become so cheap still as housing is still pricey...
The efficiency and convenience plus safety. With these of course it will be hard for people to leave. But you have to take into account the cost of living, weather, culture and so on.. Not a place to live forever I would say.
Are you PR Amandine ? Should be easy for you since you married (?) a local ? Some of my expats friends told me that it's really harsh if you not off Chinese/Malay descent.
We are not married yet so I’m applying as an individual and yes usually it’s harder for western expat because the culture gap is bigger (my guess) so you need to “prove” more that you want to stay

I suspect that ure not connected to enough expats, many have left Singapore due to intolerable high costs. Expats want to live a life. Sporeans will never admit spore is expensive because they just stay at their parents HDB or HDB purchased in 90s, with their economic rice and they are happy already
Actually, my next video is about the reasons why expats live Singapore - high cost is not the only reasons there are plenty! But for the few of us that want to stay long term, yes we are happy with what we have found here! I think you have a very negative view, should just enjoy the small things :)

Not necessarily true, spore does have the usual crime, gangs n unsafe spots. If you watch our crime watch series, you can get a good idea of the crimes that have taken place in sg. We also have our serial killer cases etc.
Do you think crime and gangs affect your daily life? What you mention is like extreme cases - the security we appreciate in Singapore is that there are only few "daily" crimes - like theft, street harassment... The only crime that could affect your daily like is really just like online scams 🤷♀️

Here in SG ..kind of living is up to personal stardard.and everything is convenient ...thats a short praise for Singapore
Singapore is like "choose your adventure"
These two days weather damn shiosk. Bella and your boy boy go for an evening stroll or date. 🎉
The rainy days? I like a bit more sun still haha
But yes, quite refreshing right?
The usual self consoling : Singapore is convenient because it's small. Come on. It's like saying a 1 bed room is highly accessible because it's small.
It's not that small haha - just the layout ensure you have a grocery store, a park, your work place always accessible 😂

Is your house THAT clean? 😅😅😅
There are people working as cleaners in every country and why not, cleaners also get paid and contribute to society.

isnt the rental high?
It’s quite high! It was at an all time high but now it has decreased by about 10%
