Great video Cliff. I remember last time you featured the tavern. They haven’t done any work on it, makes it look more spooky. Thanks for taking me along. Please take care
I, really enjoyed the video and the story😊 Yes more videos of the past and ghosts that may still walk these haunted locations. Again thanks for letting me know about this.
Love the scary stories, Pennsylvania has such a long and interesting history. A great series to pick back up on as the fall season is around the corner!
I remember hearing stories about this from a friend lol. They didn’t know where just that it was supposedly near Hawk Mountain. I may need to make a stop. One day on my way to take a hike! Great story!
I went into a house in Hopwood, PA built in 1816. I heard it was once a tavern on the National Road, and the the quality of food served was not so great. When I found it, it was a residence, but the owner had just passed away. Later it was a French Restaurant, and as I was there during off hours, they let me wander through it and take pictures. Not sure if there are any ghost stories connected with it.
Love the way you tell stories. Can you imagine living in a house from the 1700's. I believe in all things paranormal. Hope you do a lot more ghost stuff. Stay safe.
Good morning Cliff. Awesome content as always. I wanted to make a request/suggestion… Going along with your haunted/ghost stories… I grew up reading the Ghost Stories of Berks County by Charles Adam’s. It would be cool and neat to see video content for the sites he tells stories about in his book. I remember he had some on the Union Canal locks and he one or two of the older cemeteries around the county. Just an idea. Looking forward to your future content.
This was great Cliff, I'm looking forward to more "ghost stories". What I'm dying to know Is, who lives in that Tavern now and why?! It would creep me out to live there, even if we don't know if the tale is true or not . I would love to know what the current residents think and if they have any stories about the place themselves? Would you ever consider reaching out to them to interview them for your series?
👍 I love hearing about haunted places. spooky ghost stories. I believe you showed that house before. One does wonder if people went missing. What happened. Where did they go. I'd hate to think, they got people drunk, killed them had them made into sasuages. 🤦♀️.the thought alone is horrifying. I'm sure through the years some teenagers hearing this would go check it out. Dare others to go.i grew up with stuff like that. Some old abandoned house was haunted, if you go by there at night, you would see eyes staring at you from the windows.or a road where there was a accident, somebody lost thier head, at night you would see a headless body walking up and down that dark road. My father would tell us stories like that , during a storm when the lights went out.😁. Haunted stories, places, always interest me. Love, respect and positivity always. Neita 🖖🕯💕🦋🌻🙂👋👣.
Motel Hell! Farmer Vincent. Very funny ending . His last words were I never used preservatives!
Love the appreciation of local PA folklore and ghost stories by a local dude..

Gives a person a whole new outlook on eating sausage lol.
Like that line in the song, "Master of the House", from Les Miz. "Filling up the sausages with this and that"
Thank you for posting! Creepy experiences can be interesting places!
I don't know if you already did it, but if you didn't. Could you do a story on the witches hex house in Rehmeyers Hollow, north of Shrewsbury.
I did one many years ago.
There was a movie similar to the story you’re telling. It was called Motel hell I believe it starred Rory Calhoun.
Cliff,
A beautiful wood with the lovely wood thrush calls across from the "Sweeny Todd" Tavern,:)
Cheers,
Rik Spector

Nice story
The founder/manager of Hawk Mountain, Maurice Braun and his wife Irma, used to live there back in the day.
I wonder if they have any anecdotes to share.
Folklore is very interesting. Looking forward to future videos in your haunted playlist series.
Guess we've gotta keep a close eye on our sausage. . .no Schambacher specials. . .
The sausage on a fork in the thumbnail is a nice touch! 😂😂😂😂😂

Charlie Adams tells this story very well, going back to Indian massacre as the baseline.
Hey, we have Schambaughs in our SE PA genealogy. I'll have to check into this, thanks.
More ghost stories please.

Have a cadaver dog go over the property.
Since those bodies were disposed of 225 years ago would that really help?

The guests turned into sausage? I QUITE doubt it. And I do not give glory to spooks.
Um, Um, Good!
could it be, satan?
Well at least if they used great spices, you will be remembered as a delicious part of the meal.
Tav-ren
Maybe you should stay overnight in that shelter some night😲😮😮
Theres no such thing, as 'ghosts.' Those are all demons.
