This is what a lot of people struggle with when it comes to the HP tuners set up. This seems to really take a lot of the computer laptop stuff out of the equation.
There's still hours of tuning to do on this lol. THe startup isn't a final tune, and that's why the HOlley groups are full of people being told to go get a tune
Nice work, can’t wait to start mine! I’m wondering which route to go on my 84 K10 LS swap. I heard people having problems with 4WD not shifting out of 1st gear. I have HP tuners and access to someone who could help me tune my rig. Just wondering if it’s worth it for this setup
This seems easy, I was the crazy person that cut down a stock harness and got it to work, I'm still tuning it but she will crank up and drive just got a few bugs to work out. I have been thinking about the holley just for easy of tuning
I remember that you used to be so against the Holley terminator setup. You would praise the basic stock wire harness and computer. Did you decide to give the Holley a try due to going turbo? Why not just tune with hp tuners like you have been?
Hey JR, I'm getting close to firing up my swap for the first time and I have a question.. I dont have HPTuners yet and I dont have a VATS deleted PCM. Will it run at all without getting rid of VATS? If itll go for like 10 seconds I'll be happy, I just want to know what to expect before giving it a try. Thanks
Darryl lives…..now clean it up and hook up that charge pipe and let’s go get some rips……..nice job and explanation on the Holley, it really is that simple in my past experiences as well, people love to complicate simple shit

On squarebodies, you have to go with a transfer case that has a vss or it won't shift in low range.

I wouldn't pay an extra 1500 for easier tuning, but that's just me lol

How did u go about setup your starter
PCM has no interface with the starter, stock or Holley.
Can it be used with a stock 2004 GMC truck? 5.3 with stock trans?
