Always the best seeing where you all decide to take it! Loved how insanely hectic it was at the end of part 2 and the transition to the ever so smooth key intro of part 3. Real great set all around Amazing work to you all 👌👏
What an intro and a development! This session left me speechless... full of invention, space, sense of composition, the textures are out of this world, definitely one of the best among the best!! Should prescribe this against Bayrou's latest political speech and ambient morosity...
hahaha, if we're set on becoming gurus, we might as well go the whole hog and launch The international spiritual free jazz foundation and start collecting donations!! :P
@urbulibaba Consider me the inaugural member. Be mindful, though, that I am a trouble-maker!! At the first AGM I intend to question the organisation's claim to be 'international', 'spiritual', 'free', 'jazz' or a 'foundation'. Other than that ...
Another stunning session. Such a great array of both conventional and unconventional sounds from your instruments. Excellent expression and musical communication. 👏👏✨✨
it's like we are watching a magic act, the invocations are so liminal, coaxing voices out and across the realm of another world, pure chemistry in this set, with hyper-attuned listening, and being in the moment.
thank you, that means a lot, Roger! it really did feel as though we were all interracting in a different way while playing as a trio (and in this particular room)... I look forward to playing with Denman and Roland again; sadly, most venues we play at don't have a piano :/
Wow! This is an absolutely amazing session. Such an amazing range of (unexpected) sounds. Somehow, this brings to mind tiny creatures crawling and playing with each other - there's an almost earthy quality to it at times, but it's all handled in a very delicate and intricate way. And then the glimpses of melody surfacing through the dry sandy layers... amazing.
hehe thank you so much, Paul! you made it sound like it might work as the soundtrack for the next Dune movie? i didn't want to let the cat out of the bag, but, yes, negotations are underway...
@urbulibaba Haha!!! Well, that's amazing news - glad I twisted your arm. Although I did have much smaller, garden insects in mind... playing in a nice fertile loam.
No niente chiese haha, io sono fortemente anticlericale.
Marvelous session!
thanks a lot, LP!

@@MalleableSound no worries! I'll let you lot quibble over semantics while I pocket all the money, I've been itching to buy a new drum kit for ages!!
