Thank you so much for watching! ✨ Like you, I've been journaling since I was a kid, and I totally get it - sometimes I still fall into those same self-editing habits. It's amazing that you've kept up with it for so long! Self-editing can be tough to overcome, but just remember there's no right or wrong way to journal. Letting go of perfection can be so freeing! Keep writing, and don't be too hard on yourself - your journey is unique and beautiful. 💖
I have been journaling, since I was a teen. A mistake I made, over the past couple of years, is that I feel that my journal entries need decorated pages to journal. I am going to keep it simple in 2025. ❤
I can totally relate! I used to feel the same way, thinking my pages always needed to be decorated before I could start writing. While predecorated pages can be nice and add a creative touch, I realized over time that it's not always necessary. Sometimes simple pages can be just as meaningful, and it helps keep the journaling process flowing more easily. I love that you're planning to keep it simple in 2025! 💖
These ideas are awesome! 🥰 I journal in a happy planner. Sometimes, I white out my entry because I remember that I did something before that and I want to document it! But that’s ok, it’s on white paper, using white out only enhances the words on the page! Everyone can make a mistake! And when my kids read it one day- they will realize I am human too! Thanks for sharing these awesome tips! ❤
I'm so glad you found the tips helpful! 💖 I love that you're embracing the little imperfections in your journaling - they add so much character and realness to the memories you're documenting. And you're right, mistakes just become part of the story! Thanks for sharing your experience, and happy journaling! ✨📖
Morning dear Marissa, I hope you are well. You video came through on my feed this morning in amongst narcissism videos that I've been watching and learning about and listening to you speak about journalling is so relaxing in comparison. With ref to your no 1, one of my hobbies is learning about psychology. I've learnt that motivation follows action, it doesn't precede it, like I thought it did. X
Hello 😊 I'm happy know that my journaling video brought a moment of relaxation amidst your other learning! I love your point about motivation - it's so true that sometimes action is what sparks that drive! Thank you for sharing your insight, and I hope you continue to find peace and inspiration in your journey.
@@pbnjezly404 Thank you for sharing your experience! 💖 You're definitely not alone in making these mistakes - it’s all part of the learning process. What helped me was to take it one step at a time and remind myself that journaling is meant to be a safe and creative space. Maybe start by focusing on just one of the tips from the video and see how it feels! 😊
no such thing as mistakes, it's all a process of meeting oneself in your creative activity, finding your own rythm and voice and undoing expectations you learned from society. journaling is something you can nurture daily, is virtually impossible to monetize and something you do mostly for yourself only, so it's a great way to explore this ❤
@@omeirai Thank you so much for your thoughtful response! ❤️ You're absolutely right-journaling is such a personal and creative journey where we learn to find our own rhythm and voice. While my video touches on common 'mistakes,' I truly believe that every part of the process helps us grow as creators. It's all about nurturing that personal connection with journaling and not worrying about perfection. I’m so glad we both agree that it’s for yourself, and that's what makes it so rewarding! ❤️
@@ChoosingBliss yes!! your points are thoughtful because these "mistakes" are more like places people can get stuck at! and when it happens, the point isn't to beat yourself up, but to notice it, be gentle with yourself and know how to overcome it and get back to a way that's more flowing for you 🫶 thanks for sharing about your journaling journey btw, i always love your videos and spreads!
Thank you for your video ✨ I have been writing in my diary since I was a teenager (I will be 40 this year) and sometimes I still fall in self editing.

Wow, I’ve made all 7 of these mistakes. I continue to make them. I really don’t know how to overcome them.
