A Conversation With Michael Palin About Comedy, Monty Python, Cancel Culture, Travel and Much More

Actor, comedian and author Michael Palin talks about his long and varied career in this FCC Zoom event. Much loved by fans of Monty Python around the world, he has appeared in a number of other films and the BBC’s Great Railway Journey programs. Just this year he appeared in a four-part BBC series called Michael Palin: Travels of a Lifetime, in which he looks back on his travels. We talk about his comedy career, how Monty Python came into being and why it has endured, writing about travel and what it’s been like for him during the pandemic. I discovered Monty Python rather late as I'm in my thirties now but I'm glad I eventually did. Their comedy is timeless. I also enjoy watching Palin's travelling documentaries.
