That's Leona for you, for sure. I remember her winning Britain's Got Talent long time ago. One of the most humble person you could ever meet and she hasn't changed ... at all. If you have ear/headphones, put them on and listen to this performance. It's what you call "perfect pitch" from Kodi. This year, if ANYONE deserved to win, it was this guy. He was number one to a lot of people from the beginning. And he is definitely a hoot, isn't he? Love his personality AND his mother.

@@FortexVize lol, you don't truly know these type of duets until you realize that the featured person is made sure that s/he is never outperformed by the other singer. Leona just decided not to sing at her full potential but complemented his singing. In fact I'd have to guess she was very careful about that because women vocalists naturally sing at higher tones and usually overshadow the male singers. To add to that, she definitely can't singer over him because the judges are listening to Kodi, not Leona and she would have to keep it low so that the judges can hear him well.

Omg this gives me HOPE for my son! My sons 4 & he’s legally blind with autism too!! It made me cry cuz I cant help but think of my son as I’m watching Kodi! You are such an inspiration Kodi!! It’s just that her voice was very shaking but doesn’t mean she’s bad maybe just she could be sick or dry throat. They both sound great.
When I was in middle school in California, there was this incredible young man in my choir class. He was blind, and he had the most amazing voice, personality, and could play the piano amazingly well to boot. He had perfect pitch. I remember the choir teacher would ask him for a note, and he would give it. Perfect every single time. Kodi, I am so so so proud of you. Your talent amazed me then. Finding out what you have accomplished, that you are still being so authentically you, and that you are sharing your incredible talent with the world, it makes my heart absolutely sing. I am so proud of you, Kodi. You are touching the stars dude! You are incredible, and you've made it. I am so honored to have crossed paths with you.

Jesus, the son of God, showed us how to do it. God is so good, He invests so much for people, best example is sacrifice of Jesus for our bad deeds (and I expierienced His ressurection with my own life btw).

He was good, but not deserving of a winner. Did he win due his disability with talent, or just talent? Not to be rude and he was good, but that is a legit question. The people felt sorry for him and amazed that he could sing being autistic and blind. Incredible but not the best talent in the show!

For those who don't know, Kodi performed "You Are the Reason" on semifinals AND finals. That song is written and sung by Calum Scott - a competitor on BGT that Simon used his Gold Buzzer on. Simon's impeccable ability to spot future stars and elevate them is what made this song possible for Kodi to choose and dazzle everyone. Talk about good begets good.
Standing ovation to the work, dedication, patience involved by Kodi and all family members. They all deserve this win.
Why does it feel that whenever he’s performing, somebody is taking over his body. Literally he is a very different man when performing. Truly amazing! I’m just seeing these type of scenes on anime/movies but I can’t believe I would see one irl. Thank you, kodi!

Singing comes from a different part of the brain than speech. Learnt that from a speech and language therapist when I worked in a stroke ward. Hes absolutely fantastic!

Although Kodi story is sad and some may say tragic, it's also his ability to overcome that disability that we all take for granted. The ability to see the world has lead us to see all that is evil and corrupt, hence maybe that's why we are so judgemental to others and ourselves. Our imagination and creativity becomes tainted and limited by what we have seen. We become harder and colder. In kodi's situation, he does not know or comprehend what evil is thus has not been tainted. His perception of the world is different from ours. His mind will forever be that of a child. He is talented in the aspect that when he sings to you, it's from a place of pureness, untouched and untainted by evil. Maybe that is why we cry hearing him because he reminds us of the goodness in this world and in ourselves that we set aside. Now anyone can say a word or complete sentences or sing but can they sing into the existence of a word? Can you feel each word that he sings? Remember that as the world gets colder and harsher, and we dont recognize ourselves anymore, we will yearn for this. Let's be more compassionate towards eachother and treat eachother how we want to be treated.

Guys Kodi said in iterview with Terry that his wish is to have lots of colorful Pianos in the house and it's really heartbreaking cuz you are reminded by the fact that he can't see the colors. i hope if God exists at least give him a touch or sense of colors. man i love this boy so much i wish i could do whatever i can for him.
It's quite possible he does see colors in his mind, whatever definition he has of them, though we'll never know. There are seeing people who claim to hear colors. The brain is a strange and amazing thing.

I have a brother in law who is deeply developed disabled…he’s about 45 going on about 9 years old. What’s amazing about him is he never wears a watch but always knows the time…he’s able to tell you what time it is other countries accounting for the time zones…amazing

It's not a question as to whether she tried hard enough she was all over the place pitch wise. And it's a duet so the song is made so the artists don't sing over each other. Leona was just poor.
I agree that she was holding back. Leona Lewis can clearly sing, but she didn't want to overpower Kodi's performance. Not letting everything out can make you sound different. It's not unlike stifling your speaking voice.
@Mo Walz when she is on Leona is one of the most beautiful singers in the world. But sorry mo she was more then a little shaky 80% of that song she was flat. As a singing teacher and an accomplished singer myself I can hear every little note, I'm not saying she's the worst singer in the world by any stretch she is usually better than most im just simply saying that in this performance she was bad.
