Please never quit TH-cam . The amount of excitement I get when you post is hard to explain...... Love the gay older latino brother you didn’t know you had lol
Strangest feeling letting go of a few tears during this video just because watching you evolve/manifest your future/learn about yourself/grow is so truly inspiring and projects the feeling onto me!! I hope everyone watching this video feels entwined with a sense of belonging and purpose and discovery that I felt during this vid, for at least a few moments today, we all deserve it.
I see all these comments saying you don’t give off “city vibes” or you seem more like yourself in CO- I just wanted to say that i haven’t noticed a personality shift or anything w you. You are the same fabulous Jenny wherever you are and that is wonderful! It’s not realistic for your subscribers to get an accurate idea of what city you belong in. Go where you the feel you are the best version of yourself!! Sending u love
I love that you talk about finnances and your money concerns and that you show us your groceries and is normal food I buy... I just love the humble Jenny that lives the same life as me 🤍
Same girl same. I went to college in NYC and have lived there since graduating a few years ago. Quarantine has made me realize that I want to be somewhere more slow and suburban, closer to nature and not as expensive. Thinking LA would be a nice change of pace without sacrificing urban life. Don't be afraid to change it up and start fresh!
Choked on my coffee at the cost of dental work, I live in Scotland so it’s mostly free here, I’m SO thankful after hearing this kind of thing. Hope you’re doing okay Jenny! Love your vlogs as always x
You should check out Houston. Close to the Gulf, more theater seats than any city in the US but New York, culture, younger median age. Lower cost of living than most of the country. It's the best-kept secret in the US. but for REAL
Born and raised in Houston! Currently living here while working at a public garden. Very diverse and has some really cool places to live. I agree that it is the best kept secret in the US. Usually people who have lived here for a bit can tell you the best places to live because it's such a huge city that you need time to learn about all the different areas! Our downfall is the hot humid summers but everyone talks about how the humidity is good for your skin so when you're older you will be thankful LOL!
I love how candid and real you are in your videos😊 very cliche but remember that "after rain there is always sunshine" and "when there is a will, there is a way". Step by step😁
i live in kansas city missouri and love it! big enough city that’s there’s always things to do and places to be (for me: vintage stores, vegan food, amazing art museums) but small enough that it’s not overwhelming or expensive. biggest cons for me are that winters can be rough and public transportation is not the best
This video is kind of a combination of everything happening in my life in 2020. Thank you for the big sis advice. (note to my future self: get on it , stop crying and find the help you need)
@@MissBerlinerin But it still is hella expensive! What could they have done to her teeth that cots that kind of money?! Just an example: if I get a filling and a night guard in Germany (expensive stuff!), it won't cost me more than like 700 Euros (650 Dollars?), plus my insurance covers it all! Like, how much stuff can one do to her teeth?
No El She doesn’t have insurance so it’s more expensive. And there are lots of things that cost a lot of money even with insurance... fillings, root canals, crowns, extractions, etc.
I've put off getting some dental work done since 2016, got a cleaning, and needed some work done a year ago but avoided having it done. After this video, I called my dentist, and now a couple weeks later my teeth are fixed and I feel sooo much better. Thank you for mentioning this lol.
The background while you were playing tennis was so beautiful! could you vlog a nature hike or something like that? Maybe if you have any old favorite spots from when you used to live there? Thanks! Love your videos!
I've never commented on a TH-cam video before but I've been following you for awhile & wanted to say I'm in the same boat - I live in Toronto, the largest city in Canada right now but I'm from Nova Scotia. The longer I'm in Toronto the more I realize it would be so much better to live in Nova Scotia: it's cheaper, the ocean is never more than an hour away, there's tons of parks, and way less people! I am counting the days until I move back.
Girl I live in Brooklyn with my boyfriend and first we are so over New York winters. But also... We want a slower pace of life.... all the things we love about our apartment are things we would love / have more of with a house (garden area, garage for car). Might be leaving before winter 2020
I would love to know how you create your videos (camera, film editors, how u make ur graphics, etc.). I’ve been super interested in getting started on my own vlogging journey!!
Dude I hope you really find what you want to do over anything else. I hope you make a radical decision to go somewhere that would inspire you or fill you up. I think you are magnificent and you have a true calling to inspire and spread your beautiful energy.
I get you so much Jenny! I’ve been living in nyc for the past 2 years and it sometimes feels like life has flashed me by because of constantly being involved with work. I think it’s also crazy difficult to think of having to leave a city that is so romanticized as everybody’s dream city. But great quality of life is important to unlocking your full potential as a living being in this physical world!!! I’m actually leaving for Europe soon trying to chase the same things you are and I keep telling myself that leaving nyc is not a goodbye forever, and it can most definitely be a see-you later. Timing is everything, and the universe has a quirky way of panning everything out. Much love and good luck!!!!
super super appreciate the convo about moving to a less expensive but smaller city!!! just decided last month to take the jump to move back to my hometown and i feel like i haven't seen enough content about deciding to move somewhere and then realizing that it wasn't the perfect fit for you anymore, so would LOVE to hear you talk more about this! as well as how your life has changed since going back to CO, ugh it's been so therapeutic watching someone go through a similar switch of big city/high rent to slower life/smaller city transition 😭
hi hi hi if anyone needs just a regular dental cleaning, try finding a dental school/university near you. they usually offer free cleanings so the students can practice!
i love colorado jenny, you give off such a warm and happy energy here especially compared to new york jenny (but this is also just based on the few videos that only show glimpses of your life)
Come live in Austin! I moved here about a year ago and it has been the best decision. I've made so many friends. I really feel at home. There are so many incredible restaurants and things to do in nature. You'll figure it out! Good luck :)
Thank you for sharing your struggles with insurance Jenny. Im about to lose my dental and health next year once I turn 26 and it has been causing me stress since my teeth stain easily and cleanings make me feel better. Much love ❤️
I was raised in Los Angeles and about two years ago I moved away to Portland because I wanted to experience life away from home unfortunately I did decide to move back and finally just finish school and live with my parents and save money which is hard because we have a bit of a complicated relationship. Im now a cosmetology student but since the virus its been closed and now even though I stress about the tension at home sometimes I'm glad I decided to move back because I wouldn't have made it living alone in Oregon during these past few months. Now im just waiting to be able to finish school and leave LA again. I understand what you mean about not feeling productive in the city you live in even though millions of people move to NY and LA to be productive and follow their dreams. For me LA has never felt like home and it gets tiring trying to make it work in a city that is so expensive and that doesn't even inspire you to live up to your full potential. I hope you find a place that feels like NY to you but that also is more inspiring! Loving the vlogs!
i feel your pain about the money stress. recent graduate here. I also broke my wrist about a month ago, had surgery, and i'm scared of my medical bill. even though I have insurance, it's ridiculous how much medical care costs
Dude dental insurance is so fricken important. Not in my 20s anymore but when I was I put off dental cleanings and seeing a dentist. Not fun. I had to have massive oral surgery and tried to make it cost less by not having anesthesia and only doing a local anesthetic. No bueno. Your story gave me a flashback. Tip: look into getting a Care Credit card if you can. It's a credit card strictly used for healthcare. Love you 😘
Hey Jenny! I totally understand how you're feeling. I have the same struggle with thinking about the future. We all wanted to chance something in our lives or move on to something new and now we all have to wait and see. I am stressed out a lot about this fact, but other than that I am also thankful for so many small things in life. And you are also helping a lot with your honest and lovely personality 🧡We all going to make it. So feel loved and enjoy your time. PS: Crying is sometimes so refreshing, so do it!
love you always, jenny but can i just say i felt such a true connection to you when you were watching the challenge in bed with a face mask on eating spaghetti! such a (quarantine) vibe. hope you are doing okay, mentally and physically! ❤️

me at the beginning of the video: omg colorado is so beautiful i should move to the states jenny: i owe 4700 for dentistry me: lmao nope staying in europe till i die
Medical costs in the US never fail to astonish me! 4,700$ for a teeth cleaning(!!!!!!), meanwhile in Greece I pay 30€ (!!!) at a private dentist because public insurance doesn’t cover dentist procedures unless they are emergencies (teeth extraction/infections etc) which is like 25$ I think 😭 4,700$ !!!! My father had a whole new denture, 10-12 extractions that took 3 months to complete and it cost 1.200€, I cannot imagine paying triple that for a cleaning!
Amber Jewel I hope I misunderstood, but still it is ridiculously overpriced, and the craziest part is that it is supposed to be cheaper in Colorado. I don’t get it 🤷🏼♀️
Im a dental nurse in the UK where we have the NHS (whoever knows for how long lol) and prices here still get quite high sometimes but we would always recommend going for at least 1 check up a year just so that you can stay on top of things and be aware of anything that may need addressing early on. A few tips would be using floss or even better, interdental brushes at least once a day, using mouthwash after meals - not after brushing the teeth as then you'll wash all of the fluoride off of the teeth and the fluoride is what keeps the enamel strong. And definitely try and use a toothpaste that has at least 1350 fpm (parts per million fluoride) - a lot of people don't like fluoride in tooth paste and a lot of vegan toothpastes don't contain fluoride but it is the best thing for keeping your teeth strong and healthy and therefore reduce costs in the future. Also Ive loved your videos for a few years now and they are always so beautiful - it makes sense because they are created by such a gorgeous soul :)
I can only imagine how stressful life in NY City must be and the health insurance in the US is just awful. Sending you lots of love form Berli, Germany!
Thanks for talking about your teeth. I just got dental insurance through my job for the first time in 4 yrs. my sister started the same job and was terrified of going to the de twist because she was convinced he was going to pull out all her teeth for being so bad. I think it’s great to talk about the pressures capitalism puts on all of us. A lot of us experience shame based on the dire positions this society puts us in. So this was very encouraging. I honestly haven’t met anyone in the last 2 years that hasn’t been like “you’re so lucky, I have horrible teeth,” whenever I mention I have dental insurance.
adore you, hope you’re doing well, would love to see an updated skincare routine or zero waste hygiene products or something along those lines, sending love.xx
thank you for the honest talk at the end! how do you feel about your ny friends being all over the country and elsewhere and if you would be leaving ny maybe not seeing them anymore all of a sudden? 💛
as someone who doesn't have dental insurance and hasn't been to the dentist in four years, I understand your pain and I am scheduling a dental appointment asap
Teeth advice! It will make a huge difference in your oral hygiene! Start with alcohol mouthwash to kill bacteria & remove gunk. Follow mouthwash with brushing for 2 mins DONT rinse toothpaste..tongue scraper omg huge lifesaver! & then a mouthwash with NO alcohol. Changed my mouth within 2 weeks!!
I feel so much of the same, I left NYC in March and have been in Virginia since. it's made me see things so differently being out of the city and really be able to clear my mind and open it to possibilities of moving elsewhere but at the same time !!! I'm like how can I leave New York it is the heart of the world and me
ts crazy because you want to live in North Brooklyn - Greenpoint / Williamsburg! If you open little bit to Flatbush, Prospect Lefters and other options and plus live by the Prospect Park it can be little less stressful !
awww I feel you :( this happened to me! I didn't have dental insurance for the longest and then chipped my tooth on granola -__- and needed a root canal! After that stressful moment, I got the root canal (wasn't that bad), I brush with an electric toothbrush (cleans your teeth way better), and floss every night, now my teeth are so much better now. But what was it bad, it's expensive to fix damaged teeth but it's worth it.
For dental work have you considered getting it done in another country? I moved from the US to Portugal and even without dental insurance I'm only paying $1500 for like 3 root canals + 3 crowns. Just a post-corona travel tip haha
Thats a hot tip! My partner lost 5 teeth in a bike accident, and getting new teeth put in here is 2000/tooth but 780/tooth in Spain! And then plus, then youre in Spain 😂😂
spaghetti self care sounds like a cool band name
Hehe

What a beautiful sight, a fairytale... you’re so cute ❤️
If you open little bit to Flatbush, Prospect Lefters and other options and plus live by the Prospect Park it can be little less stressful !
super early :). I love this series so far!! Keep doing your thing Jenny
awww I feel you :( this happened to me!
Watching all the ads so Jenny can get that teeth money.
