This is the first game I've played from this team, and I seriously enjoy a lot of the mechanics. If it wasn't clear from the gameplay, the turn based combat is actually very lethal and so the stealth beforehand to assassinate what enemies you can is vital to winning fights. Made the game a lot more fun than if it was just normal battles on repeat.

I saw the title and thought, "Naw, this can't be real..."
Then I saw the vid (Not even all the way through yet) and am now a true convert to the ways of the dynamite toad.
At first I was like, Elvis sounds familiar, feels familiar no way they are literally the same characters, similar backstory and same VA? Elvis' is voiced by Daniel Amerman, the English voice of Ezreal from League and he certainly makes the "adventurous youngster with a magical glove" vibe work once again.
Jade sounds familiar also but I have no clue

Jade's va is Felecia Angelle if you played HSR or GI she voice acts Mona, Asta and Hook. I have also heard her somewhere else but can't remember.
I was drawn in by the title of the video. Now I'm intrigued by all the frog based possibilities in combat.

Made by the same team that did Mutant Year Zero. Surprised that I didn't see any marketing for this one, that game was talked about a bunch. Nice to see they kept the same style but refined it even more.
Thought it felt familiar.

I thought it had to be the same engine with the way it was looking aftrer the first few mins of playing. Good that they made another, love this style.

I saw the title and just started laughing. It looks like such a serious game and yet you can put frogs in explosive barrels
This game caught my attention the second I saw the Mayor's head in a jar, smoking from a hole in his glass container that he puts his cigar. That says so much about this character in like 5 seconds, and I LOVE shit like that!
Yeah he's easily my favourite character design, it's so horribly unique to see a guy smoking a cigarette through his breather hole while still speaking normally at the same time.
Story: Super passionate story about trying to find your mom.
Gameplay: *FROG GO YEET*
Oh so that's why the mechanics and art direction looked so familiar. It was made by the same devs as Mutant Year Zero. These guys are singlehandedly reviving my love of tactics rpgs

Please Release at least a second episode. It's a joy watching you play this.
What i like about it story-vise is that it wasn't his First, Second or even Third try, but his 38th try, that alone establishes his character that he did not break through the wall out of sheer dumb luck, or some kinda chosen one BS.
He can do what he does cause he has tinkered and upgraded the glove time and time and time again, allowing him to reach That point.
no issues with those other things a lot of the time but for this world yes
Please for the love of gad make this a series. So much fun to watch, and i love your commentary on it. Super cool, super interesting. Please dont leave us wanting for more haha

Someone else [even if the name escapes] remembers that Phantom Doctrine exists! That Spy-XCOM game where you could play as the CIA or KGB. Oh, I loved that game. So many good ideas…It’s unfortunate that it just sort of…fell off.
Yeah, I remember the opening being very promising, but as I played more of the campaign I had less and less desire to play it. I still can't even remember EXACTLY what I didn't like about it, just that it wasn't as good as I hoped.
Very good game until the halfway through. The middle and even end are a slog depending on your build and if you were lucky with some agents or not.
The story was ok, the first few story missions were bangers but they quickly fell as the games goes on and more random missions appear and there is less variety of then than you might think.
Worth it if it's in a sale but it's a slog to finish. Still, having a hit squad composed of SEAL SIX, KGB, Mosad and CIA agents was fun as heck
Phantom Doctrine was pretty fun. I liked the setting and the intel side of the campaigns!
they have a sequel in the works, let's hope they've ironed out all the quirks the first one had 'cause the concept is great !

This game makes me think of Kenshi more than any other game I've played. This game is visually stunning. It seems to have really strong art direction.

So these guys made Corruption 2029, and more famously, Mutant Year Zero... This is a good culmination of their previous titles, and I'm pretty hype to get this myself. Personally, I really would love a full budget Corruption game, it's really good looking Cyberpunk

For a Topdown TRPG this well detailed is so over the top. They really love their game.
Ah, Phantom Doctrine, what memories! It made me appreciate Xcom's luck-based combat a lot more than I did before.
Not a bad idea to give the player a choice on gameplay style early on. Wouldn't mind seeing it an option in other squad-based strategy games.
I knew this game looked familiar! i played mutant year zero, i really loved the mutation mechanic and all the little quips about ancient human artifacts.
the weapons in this game especialy the sniper come out directly from their prior unknown game called corruption2029 where you play as cyborgs fighting for "liberty"

I didn't think anything of this when it was announced, but once again, Rimmy's sheer joy at a new game is infectious. And damn does this look good. The quality alone looks so good.

Zen raging reminded me a lot of Kane from Titanfall 2. Played the campaign again a few hours before this video and the voice and mannerisms sound a lot alike.
Heya Rimmy, I really appreciate all the uploads you do - from the Fusterclucks to all the game reviews. You and I have almost identical tastes in games, so it's nice to be able to see how a game I'm interested is in before I buy it. And honestly your videos just in general have helped to distract me from many a dark thought. Just know that for as long as I'm on this miserable dirt ball, I'll always look forward to your uploads.
The high detail and overhead view reminds me of The Ascent. Been looking for a game like this.
