We return to Across the Obelisk and man, they really nailed this one. The game still feels great even with 4 players thanks to each character being an engaging card engine of some kind, and the new area with its above & below ground split is really fun to quest around. Unfortunately we didn't manage to get the new heroes on our runs, but the boss fight was an epic battle. Bosses that summon stuff back are rough as is, this boss is that taken to 11. The armouring and summoning of the attachment minions really turn this from a winnable fight into a struggle.

For those that don't know, the epic version from the lake fishing event option is "Look for something unusual." It sends you down a path towards one of the most powerful armor pieces in the game and a very rare hidden achievement. It requires certain items that may have seemed useless on runs and taking specific paths to pull off.
A hint without spoilers: it ends at that chest in the final region.

12:59 On higher difficulties (the cursed levels, or whatever they're called, haven't played that game in forever), bosses generally resummon accompanying monsters, or in the case of the hydra summon more heads. It is SO annoying to deal with honestly.

Across the Obelisk is a game I really need to buy. It looks like a great few hours with friends.
Few hours is good. Me and my three buddies got 250 hours out of the base game without any dlc ^^.
My vid buffered the second Rimmy made the it’s not ra it’s rawr and I wasn’t looking at the vid. Thought he got like 8 seconds of pure silence as a response and started laughing so hard.

Really hope they lower the DLC pricing, it's just too high for this type of game.
And yes i'm fighting the urge to buy the dlcs, they don't look bad in terms of quality and most negative comments on steam is about the price.
I lost against the urge but it doesn't feel like it.
If it follows the trend of other paradox games with their dlc it'll definitely go on sale at some point, maybe whenever the next dlc/big update comes out.
@@Red-Tower Well they made it so only one person needs the dlc for a party to play in that area.
If they have the next dlc be the same way i would understand the pricing since players can technically play the dlc for free if their friend has it.
For single players the pricing is steep but the quality is quite good.
