I can’t see no reason you can’t hit 20,000! Both you guys have such a fun personality! Both of your guys meals looked delicious! Always love your choices of your meals! Mouth is watering at the moment, have beef stew on the stove, cooking low and slow, and making me hungry!

Thank you Jen & Rich!! Love these so much. You two remind me of myself and my late hubby! We had the BEST times in the smokies!! Being a native of Florida...the mountains are everything!! Until next time...ENJOY!!❤🎉❤
@jennifermountaingirl Jen...NO! I had no idea!! What part of Florida? I was born and raised in Valrico, Fl. which is about 15 miles east of Tampa. I now live on the Nature Coast in Brooksville FL about 45 miles North of Tampa.
Love the fall scenery on the drive there. All of the food looked delicious! I'm also a big fan of the finely shredded coleslaw. Thanks for another great video and looking forward to you trying to recreate the Brunswick stew❤
Yessss! Rich and Jen you both like making these videos and enjoy what you do! It shows and is why we all love watching you! Great chemistry and variety of content, there is no doubt you will reach your goal of 20k. Well deserved and I believe subscribers will go even higher! I love your videos! I live in Colorado and visited Memphis and Nashville. I've never been to Pidgeon Forge or the Smokie Mountains watching you guys makes me want to go and now I know where to go until then thanks for taking us along with you on your adventures!
In northern Alabama, they have beautiful mountains up there too and lots of barbeque places. Great hole in the walls too. I will check that out sometime in Bryson City. Love Cherokee, NC close by and the park with the bamboo by the river.
I love creamy warm potato salad. The meal looked good. My daddy had his own Brunswick stew recipe…boy oh boy it was the very best anywhere!!! My brother makes it now, but….its good, but don’t have daddy’s touch. He was Sargent in NG and cooked this for the guardsmen. So many loved his! I do have his recipe. Keep eating out and cooking at home. ❤
We come to the Pigeon Forge area every year. We have had to cancel two trips up because of health and hurricanes. We live in Florida. I love seeing your restaurant reviews. Many of your places, we have also enjoyed. Thank you.
Hi Rich & Jen! I love your top Jen & Rich looks good in that army green shirt!! Your food looked delicious 😋!! If I'm ever in North Carolina, I will drive there to The Barbeque Wagon! Thanks so much for taking me along with this video! God bless you both!! Love you both! I always pray for safe travels! 😊🥰🙏🙏♥️♥️
Looks like a wonderful find for some great down home BarBQ! Love that area of NC and used to spend many long weekends or vacation weeks in the area. We particularly enjoyed staying at Heath Lodge in Waynesville (I think it is now called Furry’s Lodge). It was a gorgeous place with a fantastic dining room and your meals were included in the price of the room. They had two beautiful dogs named Sonny and Cher and you could “check them out” at the office to take them walking in the woods. When my son was little, that was the highlight of his trip. The Bar B Que Wagon looks terrific and I’ll bet they make everything on site. Now that we live in New England, I’d give anything for some Brunswick Stew and everything else you tried! Thanks for another great video, you guys are the best! 😘
That’s so neat that they let you check out the dogs!! I’ll have to look up that Lodge! Thanks so much for watching and joining us on our adventures!❤️❤️😊
Oooooo my…that food!!!!all looked so so delicious!!!!and what a view of that creek and the trees….just beautiful!!!!!you both go to some really good places….i love it❤❤
What beautiful scenery! Thanks for another great video! Jen I'm waiting for your crouton recipe! They sound right up my alley. I don't like real crunchy ones. In fact I was trying to microwave some I got from the store to soften them up a little. Yes, it's true, I'm a gourmet cook 😆
We are going to do that video. We had some work done in our house so I haven’t been able to film in our kitchen. But it should be done in the next week or so and I definitely have that on the agenda! Thank you so much for watching, good idea to microwave the ones from the grocery store by the way!
Currently in Bryson City. Staying at the McKinley Edwards Inn. Passed by the Bar-B-Que Wagon a couple of times. Did the GSMR today and a hike at the Oconaluftee Visitor Center in Cherokee afterwards (Oconaluftee River Trail - and got to see an Elk). This place on our list to visit but just not enough time. Tomorrow - Everett Street Diner, 3 trails near the Road to Nowhere, Darnell Farms and returning home. However, we need to get lunch and maybe it'll be Bar-B-Que wagon after the hikes.
@@jennifermountaingirl Liked it. Very close to downtown. They offer free breakfast and do a really good job. They make something hot (like an egg casserole), have waffles, variety of fresh fruit, coffee, teas, a few fruit juices. Overall, plenty of variety and very well presented. I really did enjoy the breakfast. The sitting area for the meal is really nice. The common area is really nice too and easy to relax with others. Although there are a few others I'd like to try, I'd definitely would revisit.
Thank you for making my weekends better. Do your Brunswick Stew on here for us. I don't even know what it is, and I am very old.lol You two are the best. 20,000 plus I think.
I actually live in Brunswick County, Virginia, and I have been eating Brunswick Stew for a long time. Not everybody's stew is up to par. In the next county over Greenville County, they make a similar version called Chicken Muddle. That's my favorite. The basic difference is that there is no beef in muddle. Stew and muddle are best made in a big black cast iron pot outside. For home cooks, that's not feasible, of course, it is made on the stovetop. The best stew and muddle should be cooked using bone in chicken, boneless chicken doesn't give it that good flavor. Stew and muddle masters always, always start with cooking out salt pork and / or bacon, cook it to render the fat, and then start adding your other ingredients, with meat going in first. Green lima beans, corn, canned tomatoes, and potatoes are the main vegetables used. Muddle has a little sugar to add a very slight sweetness. Civic organizations and churches make a huge pot outside, usually with men at the pot and women inside peeling potatoes and chopping onions. They start cooking over a big fire in the afternoon before and cook all night. It is stirred constantly with wooden boat paddles to prevent sticking. In the morning, it's put in quarts and sold as a fund raiser for the organization. Sometimes, it's made and sold to benefit a specific family going through a serious illness or a fire that has destroyed their home. Stew making is a 2 day process, and it is not made as much as it used to be. The hardest part is picking out the chicken bones. Occasionally, I have found a small bone in my Quart. It's expected, so I just pick it out and enjoy. This is just a very short synopsis of the process. I left out that this is a very "social" event for the men folks.😉 Jen, I would love to hear how yours turns out. I make a smaller version of muddle on my stovetop once in the fall. It's not the exact same, but it's good.
That is so COOL! Thank you for the really interesting information! I love the chicken muddle name, never heard of it! One of the neatest things on this channel is the people’s comments and the things that I learn. I absolutely love it!
Oohhh the dill potato salad made my mouth drool as well as that Brunswick Stew! Yummy, I am a foodie like y'all! 🤣😋 Brunswick Stew is so easy to put together. You should do it, Jenn! Y'all will love it!

You guys really live in a beautiful part of the country. I really need to visit the Pigeon Forge area some day. Never heard of Brunswick Stew before so I looked it up. Is it basically a tomatoey BBQ sauce flavour?
I've eaten there several times after hiking in the area. Love to meat outside. Check out the Fryemont Inn sometime. It celebrated 100 years in 2023. If you stay there breakfast and dinner come with your room. I can recommend everything but the N.Y. strip. I usually get Prime Rib or Rainbow Trout. Everett Street Diner is where locals eat breakfast and lunch.

Brunswick stew looks like what we would call BBQ Burgoo here in Kentucky. Burgoo made with lamb, not pork. But the BBQ Brunswick looks good.

Yes, it is unique tasting though. Hard to describe. You should definitely come to the Smoky Mountains!

Hello wonderful hosts! Next time might consider doing close up of the menu. I’m not able to enlarge it clearly enough to read. Thank you for sharing 😊
I’ll try to make sure the menu is more visible next time! Sorry about that!
