I’m sorry but no, it is not the United States responsibility to bail out every country that is experiencing strife… when we can’t even house our disabled and broken veterans and we can’t even make sure than our children in poverty are fed everyday, and in healthy living conditions, because we are all struggling, mentally, emotionally, financially and physically as a country! No this is “not how it should be for anyone in danger.” I’m sorry but if you happened to be dealt the losing hand and were born in a country that exploits and hurts their citizens, that’s just unfortunate… it’s not the responsibility or obligation of any other country to save them. America is the only country that does this, Germany doesn’t, Scotland doesn’t, Australia doesn’t… immigrating to seek asylum, by going through the proper channels. And acclimating to AMERICAN life, not trying to make American neighborhoods and communities into little China or little Haiti, when you’re being invited to come stay here… you still need to respect the people who are hosting you. Just as you would be expected to respect the host family you stay with if you take studies abroad, or stay at bed and breakfast type inns. Sure it sounds nice to say, “help them” but does that mean you’re willing to let vagrants off the street come to live with you in your home, because “they are in danger and they need help.” I’m sure you wouldn’t do that, and I’m sure if the government made it law that we had to house asylum seekers, if you’re a home owner or property owner, i highly doubt you’d just roll out the welcome mat. So why are we expected to do this as a country? Especially when we can’t even protect our own!?

She ended up in Afghanistan, (iir) and went radio silent on her socials. That was about 6 years ago.

Res =it, ipsa= itself, Doozy= Doozy. This might be a play on Res Ipsa Loquitor. It speaks for itself.
Res ipsa loquitur is the legal phrase. Shifts the burden of proof to the defence by allowing the court to use circumstantial evidence as proof of negligence.
